More Dem hypocrisy: Obama kids’ school has 11 armed guards

Liberals exhibit double standard as they send their own children to high security school

The appalling hypocrisy of Barack Obama, his Senate Democrat cohorts and duplicitous media, as they push for tighter gun controls is nothing short of mind boggling.  They mock the NRA’s CEO Wayne LaPierre for suggesting that schools should consider having a security plan that includes armed guards, while ensuring that they and their own families are protected.

As it turns out, Sidwell Friends, the costly private Quaker school in Washington, DC, attended by the Obama’s daughters Malia and Natasha, has 11 security officers.

These armed officers are in addition to Secret Service protection provided the First Family’s girls. The guards are standard operating procedure for the school.  And this is the reason liberal parents like NBC’s double-talking David Gregory send their children to Sidwell.  They can rest assured knowing their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell children at a school where armed guards were not only not used, but are disallowed.

How typical of liberal elitists. Obama is intent on imposing stricter controls on American gun owners and preventing the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own children — who securely sit under the protection guns afford.

Debbie Schlussel reminds us that Israeli schoolchildren are kept safe by armed guards. Check out the photo accompanying this post.

The point about Israel has nothing to do with the USA. Private schools can have as many guards as the people who PAY will PAY for. Public schools need a plan to respond to incidents but it need not be armed guards.

How about first putting all the kids who are walking the streets away from school, back in class? How about 12 month schools?

A huge amount of money is thrown away in Arizona on schools and the results are one of the worst records for graduation in the USA. Something is wrong with the picture and it is too many administrators and too much overhead by having every district have their own administration, computer systems, and syllabus.

Of course you don’t see any hypocrisy in the actions of Obama and other Liberals. You rise to their defense, LOL!

In your litany of problems with Arizona’s schools, you omitted the fact that in far too many districts, non-English speaking children of illegal aliens are commanding attention from teachers who should and would be teaching the rest of the class at grade level. Although it is not the fault of the children, the attention they require has contributed to lower overall test scores. Additionally, encouraging education is not the focus in too many of these households. Children are often taken out of school for a month as parents make family holiday trips to Mexico. The children then fall further behind, and that continues to rob the children of American citizens of their rightful education.
As an example, THIS was in the daily newspaper the week before Christmas:
As Eddie Lopez wrestles nearly 200 pounds of bags, bulging with brightly wrapped Christmas presents, toward the bus he’ll take to Culiacan, Mexico, he counts himself lucky to have a seat.
His wife and four sons left for Mexico a week ago so they could be sure of all getting on a bus during the busy Christmas travel period.
“We pulled the boys out of school early,” says Lopez, who lives in Queen Creek and visits family in Culiacan every Christmas. “It was the only way we could get them seats because there are hardly any left.”
I am a retired educator and saw this with regularity. Obviously, the concept continues.

Liberals like the Obama’s and David Gregory are duplicitous elites, who think they are somehow more entitled, more privileged and the lives of their children are worth more than ours. They appear to have no concept of their own phoniness, which optimizes what and who they are. Gregory’s wife is a partner in a prominent NYC law firm, before which she served as scandal riddled Fannie Mae’s executive vice president and general counsel. Like any good liberal, she opposes the “unfair administration” of the death penalty, although she argued for it in the case of Timothy McVeigh, whom she prosecuted.

Let’s look at a few of your comments to see how very “Conservative” you are, Westnash!

First, we have your comment on the most staunch anti-communist ever to serve in Congress, U. S. Senator Joseph McCarthy.

“McCarthy never did anything good…” – Westnash

Then, after the Young Communist League has a rally at the University of Arizona and Sam Webb, chairman of the Communist Party USA, comes to Tucson, you have this to say about Communism:

“It is a Communist under every bed.” – Westnash

“Communism broke under its own weight and the light of day.” – Westnash

    Lets sum up:

In this thread, you don’t share the view that the actions of Obama and other Liberals, like David Gregory, are hypocritical.

In another thread, you tell us that anti-commuinst Joseph McCarthy never did anything good and you mock the idea that communists are still around and that they constitute a threat.

You’re the first Pinko Conservative, LOL!

  4. Westnash says:

I am sure you are correct in that and it is a major cost to the school system that should not happen. That doesnt excuse the duplication of effort by districts that cost us all too.

Although the NRA seems to be taking the brunt of liberal slings and arrows for being pro-gun, they seem to be on the wrong side of the solution here by advocating Congressional deployment of guards to our public schools. Doing so takes responsibility and control out of the hands of local officials and further solidifies the siege mentality our culture is sliding into. We would not need armed federal guards at each school if we simply tossed out the dangerous policy of gun-free school zones.
Here is an excellent review of the contrasts between the NRA’s solution and that of the Gun Owners of America.’s-response-to-sandy-hook-federally-funded-police-in-every-school
