Russell Pearce endorses Robert Graham for AZ GOP Chair

Pearce sends strong message to conservatives

Former Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce, a tireless advocate of conservative principles, has endorsed Robert Graham for Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party.

“I wholeheartedly endorse Robert Graham for Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party,” said Pearce. “As a consistent Constitutional conservative, I believe Robert Graham has the ability to work with Republicans across this great state to strengthen this Party and to build on our successes. I know that Robert Graham will work hard to make Arizona a more prosperous and safer state, and to put more Republicans in responsible leadership positions.”

“Russell Pearce’s service to Arizona and conservatism has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated,” said Graham. “I am grateful to have his endorsement, and I look forward to receiving his counsel on how to build a stronger Republican Party in Arizona. As your Chairman, I will fight to ensure that voices like Russell’s are heard and appreciated in our party.”

The state reorganization meeting in which the officers of the state Republican Party will be elected is scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2013.

We need rural Arizona County representation on the Executive Board. It is looking like an all Maricopa and Pima show once again.
Those people do not represent rural interests at 24th Street. Think before you vote. It’s a long two years to be stuck with a Board that doesn’t listen to you. Birds of a feather …

    • LD 19 Committeeman says:

Rural, schmural. We need vision, political expertise, fresh ideas and fundraising abilities. Let’s recruit conservatives to take back the Republican Party and win! I am very happy to support Robert Graham.

I expect great things from this impressive man!

  2. CD9 says:

I am going to support Robert. I met him and spoke to him, I questioned him on his Conservative Credintials and came away with my questions answered to my satisfaction. Not only is Russell Pearce endorsing him but Lori Klein did today also. We need someone who can raise the money for the party and make it a professional business again. And yes we will be stuck for two years if he does not help us with some real conservative candidates. But take a look at the last election, even this state came away with a big loss, no matter what they try telling us. We no longer have a supermajority, I know a few candidates, they all tell me they got no help from the party, we need to be able to get the money and support the grass roots candidates.

  3. Fed Up says:

Robert Graham looks and sounds like the real deal, and I sincerely hope he is. I doubt that’ he’s as inept as our current chair, who is a nice guy, but totally out of his league. I have every reason to believe that as a seasoned businessman he has the credentials equal to the task. I just hope his ties to the establishment are neither strong nor warm, We are in need of a revamp, keeping the grassroots of the party in mind. Also, the folks down on 24th Street need to be replaced.

  4. Hagar says:

I’m for Graham also. Now we just have to make sure LaFaro wins the Maricopa County chairmanship and we send Gray packing to her husband’s union buddies.

  5. Westnash says:

Russell Pearce needs to stay out of the limelight and work from behind the scenes as he a very negative image to most of the voters that the Az Republican party needs to win back if they are to be successful going forward.

    • East Valley PC says:

I disagree, Westnash. Pearce’s endorsement of Graham sends a strong signal to Platform supporting and Constitutional-based Republicans that Robert Graham is solid and trustworthy. Russell Pearce’s endorsement means a lot to me and countless others. He was removed from a single legislative district by open border fanatics in collusion with LDS church leaders who recruited and supported a church Bishop behind the scenes to challenge him. You might notice that Jerry Lewis lost overwhelmingly in the very next election.

You are far too leftwing to even begin to speak for me or many other grassroots conservatives. Don’t even try.

      • Westnash says:

I am not interested in speaking for you or anyone else, but I am the least left wing person you have seen. I just don’t want to see Arizona to continue to slide toward California.

      • eubykdisop says:

Please, Westnash. Give us a little more credit than that! Look at the positions you have articulated.

You call the military “your precious military”.

You want to close more military bases.

You want to cut military spending “across the board”.

You want to us to cut off aid to Israel.

You want to reduce military pay.

You attack the late U. S. Senator Joseph McCarthy, a decorated combat veteran and staunch anti-communist.

You support a ban on large capacity magazines for weapons.

You say that La Pierre of the NRA makes a lot of money and has a financial interest in promoting the preservation of the 2nd Amendment.

Now you tell us that Russell Pearce has “a very negative image”.

You tell us that you hold these positions because these are the positions which will bring victory to Conservatives. The only problem is that what you articulate are NOT Conservative positions! What you are telling us is that we can “win” if we adopt Liberal positions. As a Conservative, I flatly reject that. That isn’t “victory”, it’s surrender!

We Conservatives are right. The positions we hold are based on truth. Conservative principles have proven to be best by test. We are not going to walk away from those principles. We will fight for them to our dying breath. Never forget that, Westnash. You are dealing with people who will never yield, never surrender, never throw in the towel. It is going to be a never-ending battle UNTIL we are victorious…and we SHALL be victorious!

  6. CD9 says:

Oh please do not get me started on that back stabbing sneaking Lisa Gray. Enough said, sorry SRA.

    • Seen It All says:

I agree with you about Lisa Gray. But she is running for Maricopa County Chairman against AJ LaFaro, who is a far superior candidate to her. I am also troubled by her support of House Speaker Andy Tobin, a strong union advocate. She was the lone voice in support of him at an EGC meeting.

Remember that Tobin held a number of excellent bills, not allowing them to be put to a vote, because of his strong advocacy of unions. Another concern is the fact that Lisa Gray is married to Tobin’s Legislative Whip. There is no way she can be an independent thinker.

  7. Westnash says:

Maybe SRA could do something that would be worthwhile and put the Bio’s of all those running for the leadership on the site. Will be more valuable than the time of the next JDH radio $how.

    • Seeing Red AZ says:

It’s already written and will be posted when we deem appropriate

      • eubykdisop says:

SRAZ, you do a plethora of “worthwhile” things, including posting the time of the next “JDH radio $show”. We love ‘ya! You’re on the Liberal map because you’re a beacon of truth and Liberals are allergic to truth!

Keep up the good work! :-)

    • Orion says:

Showing such concern while not taking time out from hurling insults shows you to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Very impressive feat, Westy.
