Laurie Roberts champions GOP traitors & update

In her lavish praise of the GOP turncoats who joined the unified Democrats in voting for passage of Gov. Brewer’s Medicaid/ObamaCare expansion taxation package, sap monger columnist Laurie Roberts highlights the principled stand taken by Seeing Red AZ.

Listing the turncoat Republican posers deserving of “DeKookification” in the upcoming election, Roberts writes, “A big round of applause goes out to Rep. Heather Carter of Cave Creek who engineered this week’s democratic revolution. Also, to Reps. Bob Robson of Chandler, Kate Brophy McGee of Phoenix, Jeff Dial of Chandler, Frank Pratt of Casa Grande, Doug Coleman of Apache Junction, Ethan Orr of Tucson, Doris Goodale of Kingman and T.J. Shope of Coolidge. Also, to Sens. Steve Pierce of Prescott, John McComish of Ahwatukee, Bob Worsley of Mesa, Rich Crandall of Mesa and Adam Driggs of Phoenix.”

Then she laments,” They will have targets on their backs in 2014.”

Roberts no doubt familiarized herself with that bulls-eye technique through associations with her RINO ally Kathy Petsas who went to great lengths attempting to oust conservative Republicans from GOP Legislative District 28.

In an attempt to marginalize Seeing Red AZ, which Roberts says is rife with “party kooks” seething about “colluders” and “traitors,” she identifies this site as “the right-wing blog that railed at length on Thursday about ‘Enemies Domestic.’”

That we did!

It’s a good bet our readers take pride in being so described by the far-left wing publication we refer to as the Periódico de la República de Arizona (Arizona Republic).

Expecting Republicans to represent their constituents and those who worked to get them elected, is not unrealistic.  Those who campaign for office on specific platforms intended to generate conservative support and then collude with the Democrats, are deserving of scorn — and the fitting descriptive identifiers, “colluders” and “traitors.

We don’t recall Ms. Roberts getting huffy about this target, complete with trigger crosshairs. In this instance, smears and dirty tricks were being played by a liberal against a completely exonerated conservative, which was enough to keep her lips buttoned up and her fingers stilled on the keyboard.

Robert’s diatribe brings to mind the quote of President Harry Truman. During a speech a supporter yelled out “Give ’em Hell, Harry!” Truman replied, “I don’t give them Hell. I just tell the truth about them and they think it’s Hell.

The Democrat president’s truism serves as our comeback to Laurie Roberts.

Update-tag

This video illustrates the true conservatives. They make us proud. The list that Robert’s declares deserving of a  “a big round of applause” are indeed traitorous. They have betrayed the Republican voters who put them in office and their own caucus members. In turn, their legislative seatmates expose their despicable actions:

Congratulations, SRAZ! There could be no higher compliment than being mentioned by a liberal left rag and it’s writers as being too Conservative! If SRAZ weren’t having any impact and if it weren’t a thorn in the side of the liberal left, SRAZ would simply be ignored and not mentioned at all. The fact that SRAZ is being sniped at means that it can’t be ignored. You’re doing your job and accomplishing your purpose! If there’s one thing that liberals hate, it’s free speech and freedom of the press!

Like they say in show business; “It doesn’t matter what they say as long as they’re talking about you!”

Go get ’em, SRAZ! Let’s hear more about “enemies domestic”! :-)

    • State Committeeman says:

      Right on euby!
Good retort, SRAZ!! Selective reporting is a hallmark of the liberal Arizona Republic. It’s clearly not your father’s newspaper! When it was owned by Eugene C. and Nina Pulliam, it was a reliable newspaper, employing journalist/reporters. Years before the Pulliam’s came onboard, it was actually called “The Arizona Republican.” Imagine that!!!!!! Today the biased activists who churn out pure crap editorialize and call it news. Their favored leftist slant permeates every aspect of the shrunken publication, filled with space taking giant photos. They have nothing to report and their remaining readers don’t require much.

      • eubykdisop says:

From what I’ve been able to find, State Committeeman, their paid daily circulation has dropped about 19% in the last ten years, despite an increase in state population. The trends in paid daily circulation and state population are going in opposite directions!

  2. Matt DeGennaro says:

Aside from this site, I know of no other source that takes on the liberal establishment press and holds AZ RINOs accountable. Keep it up! It sure rankles those liberals.

  3. eubykdisop says:

Speaking of GOP traitors, Gretchen Conger Martinez, who Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham appointed Chief of Staff of the Arizona Republican Party, actively backed and supported Governor Brewer’s Medicaid expansion.

Graham had to know that before he appointed Martinez because Martinez signed on to the recommendation in support of Brewer’s Medicaid expansion while she was still Director of Government Relations for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, prior to becoming Chief of Staff for the AZ GOP.

Who is the bigger GOP traitor, Martinez for supporting Medicaid expansion in Arizona or Graham for appointing Martinez?

    • eubykdisop says:

Oh yeah, and in case anyone has doubts about the support of Martinez for Brewer’s expansion of Medicaid, you can see it for yourself by reading this PDF document:

      Click to access 2013-14%20AZ%20Chamber%20Budget%20Recommendations.pdf

It is the “2013-2014 Budget Recommendations” of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the health section you can see the Chamber’s support for Brewer’s Medicaid expansion and if you scroll down to the bottom you’ll see the name of Gretchen Conger Martinez in her capacity as Director of Government Relations for the Arizona Chamber.

WOW!! Great clips contained in that video! Steve Montenegro was masterful in his presentation! He has my vote in the upcoming Secretary of State’s race. Michele Reagan has been a major waffler. She represents my district. Betcha dollars to doughnuts she’ll get the AZ Repulsive’s endorsement. All the more reason to rally behind Montenegro.

  5. Observer says:

Thanks for posting this great video of the voices of Arizona Patriots ringing loud and clear!! It brightened my day.

    • Mohave Mike says:

Agreed! Unfortunately there were enough “colluders” and “traitors” to put OBrewer’s catastrophic liberal cave-in over the top. Where do these fools think the money is going to come from to sustain this insanity? I can’t recall being so disgusted with the AZ legislature. What good is having Republican majorities in both chambers when they vote with and act like Democrats? Where is the chastisement from the AZ GOP?

My wife and I do not intend to run as a precinct committeemen next time around. This will be a sad first for us. We’ve been active for over 12 years.

      • eubykdisop says:

Where is the chastisement from the AZ GOP? Don’t be silly, LOL! Gretchen Conger Martinez, who Robert Graham appointed to be Chief of Staff of the AZ GOP, not only backed Brewer’s expansion of Medicaid, but she also served as a Legislative Intern to Governor Jan Brewer!

        “Gretchen Conger Martinez”

        “Legislative Intern”

        “Arizona Governor’s Office”

“Government Agency; 10,001+ employees; Government Administration industry”

        “January 2010 – May 2010 (5 months)”

“Performed as an integral member of Governor Jan Brewer’s legislative team
Briefed Governor Brewer on legislation under her consideration and recommended her signature or veto
Responsible for tracking and having a general knowledge of all 1,402 bills moving through the legislative process
Worked on special projects for the Governor’s advisory staff”

Are you getting the picture yet? The top of the AZ GOP is loaded with Jeff Flake, Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Governor Jan Brewer stooges!

Chad Heywood, the Executive Director of the AZ GOP, worked as Director of Outreach for illegal alien amnesty promoter, Congressman Jeff Flake.

Gretchen Conger Martinez, the AZ GOP Chief of Staff, worked for the illegal alien amnesty promoting Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Not only that, but she was ALSO a Legislative Intern for Jan Brewer. Not only that, but she ALSO supported Brewer’s Medicaid expansion!

You were expecting what from Robert Graham and the AZ GOP?

  6. Paul Hays (@pahaysaz) says:

…thought “targets on their backs” was illegal gun-speak among liberals; shades of @kateesackhoff! @brophymcgee and @adamdriggs “work for me.” I’m afraid they are just not working out and I’m gonna have to let them go. I’m looking for any local conservative for a primary run. If you’re the right candidate, I’m your huckleberry.

    • GOP PC says:

Who recruits? It’s clear the state party has no stomach for calling out the RINOs. The silence from 24th Street is beyond disappointing. The lobbyists promoting OBrewerCare have promised the turncoats all the campaign money they need in the upcoming election cycle. Those challenging them will have an uphill battle simply because the average guy/gal can’t donate on the same grand scale as the lobbying community that was promoting this doomed to fail program for Brewer.

      • eubykdisop says:

24th Street call out the RINO’s on Brewercare? Are you kidding?

The current Chief of Staff of the AZ GOP, Gretchen Conger Martinez, worked as Director of Government Relations for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry immediately prior to her appointment by Robert Graham. In that capacity, she actively supported and promoted Brewer’s Medicaid expansion!

Don’t believe it? Here’s a link to the “2013-2014 Budget Recommendations” of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry in PDF format. In the section on health, you’ll see the support for Brewercare. Scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see the name Gretchen Conger Martinez who is now Chief of Staff of the AZ GOP!

  7. Sally Forth says:

I hope to be here reading Seeing Red AZ long after the liberal paper has closed the doors and permanently turned off the lights. I don’t know a single conservative who still subscribes to that rag.

  8. Pima Pal says:

Watching that video made me feel a great deal of pride in our conservative legislators. It also made me aware that the so-called Republican occupying the governor’s office is a front for the enemies of responsible governance and accountability. I’m not so sure there is a dime’s worth of difference between her and her predecessor Janet Napolitano. At least there was no question as to Nappie’s leftist positions. She never claimed to be anything else but a liberal. Brewer sold us a bill of goods that has turned out to be a bill of bads,

    • eubykdisop says:

Yes, but Robert Graham sold us an even BIGGER bill of goods!

Both the Executive Director and the Chief of Staff of the AZ GOP appointed by Robert Graham came to those positions directly from illegal alien amnesty supporting organizations. Chad Heywood worked for Congressman Jeff Flake and Gretchen Conger Martinez worked for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. But that’s not all, Folks!

Gretchen Conger Martinez was a Legislative Intern for Governor Brewer and, in her capacity as Director of Government Relations for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Martinez actively supported and promoted Brewer’s expansion of Medicaid!

Who has sold us a “bill of bads”?

      • GOP PC says:

Thanks for this very revealing link, euby.

Also worthy of note is that Garrick Taylor, listed as the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Vice President of Government Relations and Communications, previously worked at the AZ GOP headquarters as Director of Communications. He also worked for the nefarious Nathan Sproul.

Gretchen Conger Martinez now running the show as AZ GOP Chairman Robert Graham’s Chief of Staff, with oversight of all finances and operations came directly from the Chamber. Glenn Hamer is another treacherous turncoat. He was the AZ GOP’s Executive Director before shuffling over to the pro-illegal alien Chamber of Commerce as its President and CEO. His first order of business in that position was to endorse Janet Napolitano for Governor, immediately after leaving Republican Headquarters!!

Doug Yonko the Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors is VP of Communications for Hensley Beverage Company. If that company name doesn’t ring a bell, think Cindy Hensley McCain, John’s wife. Now do the overarching pieces come together?

They ALL stink. Why would the state GOP chairman be cozying up to these folks?

      • eubykdisop says:

        You’re most welcome, GOP PC!

Yes, now the overarching pieces come together, GOP PC! Thanks!

The question is, how do we purge these people from positions in the GOP?

Maybe we should do what the liberals have done and infiltrate and take over the Arizona Democrat Party instead of continuing to mess around with the GOP! ;-)

If the Dems are busy fighting off infiltration of their party then maybe they won’t have so much time and energy to devote to the GOP!

      • GOP PC says:

I beg to differ on one major point. Liberals are not “infiltrating” the AZ GOP. They are being welcomed in with the door wide open. THAT’s what’s so troubling.

      • eubykdisop says:

Point well taken, GOP PC! Actually, I think it’s that both parties are working toward the same end of implementing the “New World Order”. The deck is stacked in that regard!

  9. Hometown Guy says:

Good question. Under which rock do the answers lie?
