Weekend reading: First-rate advice to House GOP

The Feb. 3, 2014 issue of the Weekly Standard runs an article by William Kristol titled, Memo to House GOP, that should be required reading for all 233 Republican members of Congress. Since they might not read it, you should.

Then, let them hear from you about which issues are vital to American citizens who pay their salaries, and which are guaranteed to land the Republican party on a cold slab — regardless how they attempt to reconfigure them.

Each of the 445 House seats will be up for election this year. As of January 2014, 29 House members — including 18 Republicans — announced they would not seek re-election in 2014.

Ballotpedia provides the list here.

According to the NYTimes, the House Republicans are ready to give away the country, bit by bit, incrementally, slowly but surely….pick your poison. We censured McCain yesterday, but the sheeple stood and applauded Arizona Congressmen Trent Franks, Paul Gosar, Matt Salmon and David Schweikert, although they are all set to sell us out on amnesty. I was there. There’s nothing like this serf-like adulation to make them think they can screw the sheeple over and we’ll get over it. There are no consequences.

The multi-year GOP amnesty/cheap labor scheme is again at our front door – round #2. As they lip-lock with Democrats in an ardent embrace, they will pair up to dance to the oldie-but-goody favorite “Make Them Pay Taxes”, a lie that most of the ignorant masses will buy.

As you make one last-ditch attempt to reason with your Republican House member, you might ask how many millions of “legalized” invaders will qualify for the Earned Income Credit – which provides tax refunds amounting to several times their Federal withholding.

Here are the income/family size guidelines in place for the 2013 tax year. Note how the EIC jumps with the presence of but a single child:

Qualifying maximum income / family size:
•$46,227 ($51,567 married filing jointly) with three or more qualifying children
•$43,038 ($48,378 married filing jointly) with two qualifying children
•$37,870 ($43,210 married filing jointly) with one qualifying child
•$14,340 ($19,680 married filing jointly) with no qualifying children

    Maximum credits:
•$6,044 with three or more qualifying children
    •$5,372 with two qualifying children
    •$3,250 with one qualifying child
    •$487 with no qualifying children

ZOO’s information is valuable and maddening and needs to be included when we leave messages with the aides of the Caving Congressmen.

Also, remind them that the Whig Party elected four US Presidents and is now on the trash heap of history. William Henry Harrison, Zachary Taylor, John Tyler and Millard Fillmore. Not only are they dead, so is their party. It can happen again if the Republicans continue to act like Democrats. Before the Bridgegate scandal Chris Christy had been widely regarded as a presidential front runner. He’s simply Obama in mammoth sized Republican clothing.

Republicans had better do better than be ‘GOP LIte’ or we are following the Whigs out the door.

  3. Fed Up says:

Which enduring nation has obliterated its own borders, regarded national security as unnecessary and enthusiastically welcomed its own invaders? Can anyone name such a nation that has prevailed?

  4. Maggie says:

This exposes fraudulent child tax credits received by ILLEGALS who brag about the loophole they use to cheat us. Watch this and seethe. Don’t forget to call to your congressmen and ask them about this! Demand answers!

Thanks to Obama and the Democrats, the United States is on a path of self destruction. Why the foolish Republican party and our elected “representatives” are in collusion in aiding and abetting this effort is beyond any rational thinking. We have Jeh Johnson, a supposed Homeland Security chief who is now saying America’s millions of illegal invaders “earned the right to be citizens.” Using this convoluted thinking, we should also open the prison doors and say the criminals have “earned their rights” to be free.

These so-called “representatives” sure as hell don’t represent the interests of my family. If one iota of this “piecemeal” amnesty legislation passes, I will never again vote for an incumbent. I’m a state committeeman who sat on his hands rather than stand and applaud these frauds. I will also reregister as an Independent and no longer work on campaigns or donate to any of these double talkers. They all lose their ability to be honest when they arrive in DC.

THIS is the cost of illegal immigration:

435 House seats. Not 445 House seats. You just can’t help checking on whether we are reading carefully!
