Persecution of Iraqi Christians garners little notice

Reports: There is not a single Christian family left in Mosul

This chilling article detailing the horrors facing Christians in Iraq was printed in The Guardian, a U.K. publication. The U.S. press is mostly silent on the terror being imposed by Islamic militants.

The last Christians in northern Iraqi cities such as Mosul have fled from places where their communities have lived for almost 2,000 years, as a deadline passed for them to convert to Islam, pay an onerous religious tax or be killed.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) recently issued a decree offering Christians the three options accompanied by the ominous threat that, if they did not comply, “then there is nothing to give them but the sword.”

Mosul includes the site of ancient Nineveh, the city to which biblical prophet Jonah was dispatched by God.  It was first mentioned in Genesis 10:11-12.

National Review’s The Corner carries a commentary The Attack on Christians in the Middle East by Rev. Robert Barron, which opens with “Though you would never guess it from the paucity of coverage in the major news media, there is a fierce persecution of Christians going on in the Middle East. In Egypt, convents and churches are being burned to the ground and Copts, members of one of the most ancient Christian communities, are being routinely harassed, tortured, and arrested. In Iraq, the ISIS group, hoping to re-establish a “caliphate” across the northern sector of the Middle East, is brutally persecuting Christians.”

When Barack Obama recently hosted his sixth Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan at the White House, it would be interesting to know if he brought up the topic of Christians suffering torture and death at the hands of Muslim fundamentalists before or after what the White House blog refers to as the “traditional melodic Muslim call to prayer.”  Then again, it might have slipped his mind during the festivities.

Take some time this Sunday to read the linked news articles and acquaint yourself with the hard facts.

The White House website claims “President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history.” This site provides contact information.

Not sure these days if it is safe to contact Obama’s White House.
After hearing how the IRS and NSA are using our information, we
can only assume the W.H. is probably tracking ‘complainers’ as well. Interesting how this ‘Christian’, BHO, rushes to the assistance of radicals vs his own brothers and sisters in the faith. Yes, isn’t it.

From the abysmal lack of comments on this important post, it appears that most folks reading this site are OK with Muslim aggression against Christians. Our Ramadan celebrating Prez appears not to give it a thought either.

This is serious business. Much of Europe is being taken over by Muslim immigrants, who have much higher birthrates than the native Europeans. Ditto Canada. Here in Arizona there are numerous mosques springing up as is happening around the entire US.

Back four years ago in 2010, it was reported in the British press that the most popular boy’s name in Britain is now Mohammad — surpassing Jack and Harry.

Islam means submission. It is NOT the Religion of Peace we’ve been lulled into believing. It is not even a religion. It encompasses all aspects of life setting down strict directives for its adherents. In Muslim countries churches and synagogues cannot be built. Yet here mosques proliferate and the lunatic lefty newspaper celebrates their arrivals.

I urge each and every one of you to watch this video on worldwide Islamic dominance. It’s your children’s and grandchildren’s future. Wise up!!

My thanks to both SRAZ and Villanova for bringing this critical information to our attention. Western civilization is heading down a path of destruction if we don’t “wise up,” as Villanova says. I’ve sent this link to the many on my list who still take the time to process crucial information. Sadly that list is dwindling.

The French have opened their shores to these surviving Iraqi and Egyptian Christians, with offers of asylum. Not Obamao, there’s no room in his asylum program for faithful persecuted Christians. In fact, his history is to try to deport Christians to face such persecution.

And his Congress goes along with it. Our AZ4 hide silently while asylum –obamao style – is used to destroy US. They hear nothing, they see nothing, they say nothing, they do nothing.

    AZ and US deserve better.

    God bless America.
