GOP wins another U.S. Senate seat:Dem Landrieu out

U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy trounces incumbent U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu

The Louisiana Secretary of State has the Dec. 6 runoff election vote tally HERE.

Mary Landrieu, seeking a fourth term, was trailing by double digits going into the Saturday election.

A medical doctor, Cassidy used Landrieu’s vote for Obamacare against her to motivate voters who didn’t need much of a shove. His ads hammered home the message. “She represents Barack Obama. I represent you.” “A vote for her is a vote for him.” “Remember: Mary Landrieu… Barack Obama… 97 percent.”

There’s no denying the major shift is also a stunning repudiation of Barack Obama, as well as  the Democrats who tried in vain to disassociate themselves with him.

With Cassidy’s massive victory, the GOP now holds 54 senate seats —- his being the ninth senate pickup —- and three more than needed to regain control of the chamber.

What better icing-on-the-November-cake message to send to Obama than this one? His failed policies have lost the dems senate majority, national governorships and the House is more solidly in the Republican column. Americans across the nation have had their fill of his leftist shams, flagrant disregard of the US Constitution and his disastrous lies. Mary Landrieu got what she deserved. She voted with him nearly 100% of the time.

Obama has succeeded in ruining the Democrat Party, a fact that most likely doesn’t phase him. He knew he couldn’t get elected to national office running as a Marxist. The Democrat Party only served as a convenient vehicle to accomplish his goals. Witness Kyrsten Sinema who lost when running for the state legislature as a Green Party member, but won as a Democrat. Now she’s in Congress! Deception is the name of the radical left’s game.

I just hope the Republican majority acts like it won instead of waffling and eventually caving on issues that are fundamental to this nation. The concept of “bipartisanship” is bull. It means Republicans join ranks with liberals, never the other way around.

We hope they’ll stop Obama, however believe most of them want to give Amnesty as well and the they’ll blame obama as usual, my hope is the People will see it for what it is, if they do this and then remove all those running in 16 who took part in this by not stopping him by whatever method needed as they not only don’t have the Spines to do so, they also want Amnesty and just know if they’re honest they’ll be out of work, We the People have Spoken I recommend they do what they’re told and hope We remember in the primary season of 16 who not to support if they haven’t supported US. God Bless You All; Van

Since voters overwhelmingly rejected all of Obama’s policies (including amnesty) I do not want to see the Republican senate continue the same old crap that we’re getting with Harry Reid. I want to see Obama’s executive amnesty and his crappy healthcare bill defunded and I want our borders to finally be secured.

    That’s all I ask for.

  7. East Valley Conservative says:

Here’s to hoping the Republican majority doesn’t blow it by emulating the Dems in word and deed. We’ve seen the disasterous results of that here in Arizona with our amnesty-bent Republicrat senators.

I don’t believe I know anyone in the grassroots of the GOP who want legal status/amnesty, problem is those in office do and will use obama and blame him for what the bush’s, romeney’s, rove, chamber of commerce and others in leadership want, so even though we don’t they do and they vote, simply because most of the GOP voters follow the Incumbents down that path and do the better of two evils or most electable and thereby put RINO’s in office to slaughter the sheep.
