Gallup’s 2014 most admired list illustrates public disconnect

Ignorance of facts glaringly evident as Americans elevate popular culture, abandon fundamental principles

In a list rife with celebrities, radical leftists and even several bona fide Marxists, Americans continue to vigorously demonstrate that the education establishment is succeeding in its primary job of dumbing down the populace.

According to this recent Gallup poll, Americans continue to name Hillary Clinton as the woman —- living anywhere in the world —- whom they admire most, and name Barack Obama as the man they admire most. Clinton has held the top women’s spot in each of the last 13 years and 17 of the last 18, with that streak interrupted only by first lady Laura Bush in 2001 after the 9/11 terror attacks. Obama has been most admired man in each of the last seven years, beginning with 2008, the year he was elected president.

Check out the list of the most admired men and women —- if you are able to use your keyboard, hold your nose and scratch your head simultaneously.

Myriad examples of their deceit abound. Here are just two:

THIS is practiced liar Barack Obama, cunningly conning the American public about his “open and transparent” administration:

THIS will refresh your memory regarding the deceptive Hillary Clinton:

Surely there are more deserving people to esteem than a Saul Alinsky admiring community organizer with police killing friends and an American hating pastor. His Alinsky praising counterpart, Hillary Clinton, is a woman willing to accept her husband’s flagrant philandering in order to advance her own leftwing agenda. Remember that while her husband was president, she was pushing for “health care reform.” An integral component of her plan was severely curtailing the number of specialists, pressuring those entering medical schools to become general practitioners. That not only limited the choices of the medical students, but was intended to restrict ours.

This is either a demonstration of just how corrupt the polling system is or America as a Free Thinking Republic has ceased to exist, in either case we’re in trouble since most voters Vote the Polling as proven by the Results over the last two decades and most thinking Americans are ridiculed for believing both in God and the US Constitution, so hang on for a very rough ride if you drink the GOP Kool Aid of Better of Two Evils. God Bless You; Van

I would like to see outgoing Senator Tom Coburn on the list. He is one of the few politicans who stands up and says the country is broke and most of the money being spent by government (including defense) I being wasted.

Who has the guts to call out the cities and State of Arizona for the totally unsustainable pension program for employees that we are all paying for?

This apathetic lunacy all became too real to me when in the course of conversation, I asked a neighbor in her 30’s who her favorite political columnist was. She looked perplexed and then finally asked me “what’s a political columnist?” She had never heard of any of the people I mentioned as examples. She has little familiarity with local, national or global news. Never heard of ISIS. This is a college educated, married woman raising children in a decent middle class neighborhood. It’s sad to think she’s representative of a large segment of our American populace, but it’s a fact. How do we hope to keep our liberties when this is how we’ve sunken? Incidentally, she knows who won the academy awards, never watches news or reads books for information or even pleasure. An educated illiterate sadly raising more of the same.
    PS She votes.

We live in either a Gruberized Society or one that Einstein’s definition of Insanity is alive and well, for those of you who are familiar with the definition paraphrased its’ Vote for Incumbents over & over again and expect a different result is insane.
    God Bless You All; Van

Here’s my personal favorite — a montage of health care deceit straight from the mouth of the Liar in Chief.

    • Ellsworth says:

I might not be able to top you, Maggie, but will give it a try with this boldfaced lie as Barack Obama vowed that the “Public Will Have 5 Days To Look At Every Bill That Lands On My Desk”

      Obama’s Seven Broken Promises:
      1. Make Government Open and Transparent
      2. Make it “Impossible” for Congressmen to slip in Pork Barrel Projects
      3. Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public (Republicans shut out)
      4. No more secrecy
      5. Public will have 5 days to look at every bill before it is signed
      6. You’ll know what’s in it (Republican Senators didn’t know)
      7. We will put every pork barrel project online

  7. Saguaro Sam says:

And today we learn that Barack Obama has made an eloquent statement regarding the death of an ESPN sports announcer.

Yet, to this date, nothing from Obama regarding the deaths of two NYPD officers; one officer in Florida, and one officer in Flagstaff who have all been gunned down in the past two weeks.

The people decide who they like in arizona it would be less ;but similar. Remember only 36% of registered voters voted and only half of people are registered. If the democrats ever let you register and not be required for jury duty the republican party would be finished. If convicted felons were alowed to vote many red states would turn purple or even blue!

  9. Villanova says:

There appears to be a dangerous trend of both major parties pushing forth people based on their level of name recognition, rather than possessing intrinsic qualities of excellence. Rehashing the Clinton’s (Hillary) and yet another Bush (Jeb) should qualify as intolerable to both Republicans and Democrats. We all should have worthy choices. Neither of these two deliver.
