AG nominee Lynch defends Obama’s amnesty policies

Sen. Jeff Sessions opposes Loretta Lynch; don’t expect AZ’s Sens. to show such spine

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Chairman of the Senate Immigration Subcommittee, questioned Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch during Wednesday’s Judiciary hearing. Sessions asked Lynch about Barack Obama’s decision to bypass Congress to impose a sweeping amnesty —- and how this action undermined the rights of disadvantaged American workers.

Listen to Democrat Lynch’s declaration that “the right and the obligation to work is one that’s shared by everyone in this country, regardless of how they came here. And certainly, if someone is here —- regardless of status —- I would prefer that they would be participating in the workplace than not participating in the workplace.”

Sen. Sessions is well versed in the law. Beginning his career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he was nominated by President Reagan and confirmed by the Senate to serve as the U.S. Attorney for Alabama’s Southern District, a position he held for 12 years. Sessions was elected Alabama Attorney General in 1995, serving as the state’s chief legal officer until he entered the United States Senate.

Read his reason for opposing Loretta Lynch’s nomination.

Attempting to deflect negativity, Lynch said that if confirmed she would focus on combating terrorism and cybercrime and would protect the vulnerable from criminal predators. Would that include vulnerable American citizens who are displaced workers due to a flood of millions of illegals, now given the cover of amnesty, complete with legal status and Social Security numbers?

Don’t expect Arizona’s U.S. Sens. John McCain or Jeff Flake to emulate the far sharper Jeff Sessions when votes are cast on her nomination.

McCain, along with Jon Kyl, Flake’s predecessor, supported the nominations of every leftwing Democrat to come down the pike —- including Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano (voice vote), and Hillary Clinton. The duo voted to confirm Obama nominee Mary Murguia as another liberal judge on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Murguia’s twin sister Janet is the President and CEO of the National Council of La Raza — “The Race” — a group whose two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal rights for all: “For the Race everything. Outside the Race, nothing.”

RINOs McCain and Kyl also stepped front and center voting in support of the nomination of Andrew Hurwitz, a politically connected leftist Democrat —- then an AZ Supreme Court Justice —- aiding his ascent to the already radical 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Arizona República was so thrilled, it editorially gushed over retiring Kyl, calling him a “statesman.”

Expect nothing less from Flake and his McMentor. Our bet is they will vote in support of Loretta Lynch’s confirmation.

Those links to the votes on the liberal Democrat nominees infuriated me! I had no idea the Arizona Republican senators McCain and Kyl were supporting leftwing judges, and stooges like Hillary Clinton, Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder. I imagine they think the fools back in Arizona are easily duped. The Internet has changed that. I’ll be watching for the votes McCain and Flake cast on Loretta Lynch’s nomination, though I agree with the post that they’ll probably cave. After all, how could they vote against the first black female U.S. Attorney General?? Isn’t racial and gender what it’s all about these day?

Remember that it was McCain who reminds us .. by HIS Example … to “reach across the aisle” to compromise just to get things done.
Republicans have the MAJORITY so why give into to Democrats pressure Mr. McCain & Flake?? Did you sell out your testicles? Where is your “character” and “principled leadership” to Arizonians, are they sitting across the “aisle”?
They have called YOU Republicans the “enemies of this nation” !!!!

  2. John Liberty says:

How about some quotes from the past to remind these … “get along republicans” … what is at stake with voting to approve a collectivist Democrat:

“I am concerned for the security of our great Nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within.” – General Douglas MacArthur.

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” – Frederick Douglass, slavery abolitionist.

“I seem to smell the stench of appeasement in the air.”
    -Margaret Thatcher.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
    – Rahm Emanuel.

VOTES DO HAVE Consequences for the citizenry.

Good thread SRAZ. Amazing answer to Sessions when it is obvious that working by an illegal alien in USA is illegal. This shows Lynch’s true colors!

Sessions is really the only Senator who is focusing on this.

In my opinion, the last real statesman Arizona sent to Washington DC was John Jacob Rhodes, who was the House Minority Leader for nearly a decade. Rhodes was a trustworthy man of integrity, a rare commodity these days.

Unfortunately, when he retired in the 1980‘s, he was replaced by John McCain, who was recruited for the office by RINOs (though we didn’t call them that at the time.) It must have broken Rhodes’ heart to have such a vacuous dunce succeed him.

It was a case of a military man fawned over by the public but having no private sector experience or having to meet a payroll…..sounds like today when the same thing is happening.

I just clicked on those Senate Roll Call Votes linked under the Democrat names. Good work Seeing Red AZ!! I say that because they’re enlightening, even though they made me want to gag. Yes, these phonies think what they do in Washington stays in Washington. Either that, or they just don’t care. Senate terms are six long years and they think that even if we were aware of their slippery votes to confirm Dem/Socialists, we’ll forget by the next election. I won’t! I hope none of the rest of you do.

  6. ZOO says:

At the moment it appears Lynch will slide by the Senate Judiciary Committee to advance to a full Senate Vote. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) are the three Republican votes needed to win committee approval and all three have expressed their support.

Conservatives have had so many “if” moments over the past several years that expectation of the worst, denial, and dismissal have become the accepted norm. Then reality takes a holiday 99% of the time when the worst does occur. The post-disaster reactions are always followed by delusional moments of ‘positive’ thinking: “we’ll vote him, her, them out” – “it’s time to take back the party” – “wait until the next election” – or the ever-popular “would you rather have a Democrat?”

It has become a predictable and habitual practice for conservative Republican voters to keep moving the ‘line in the sand’ back – and back – and back. The Lynch nomination is just the current one. It should be a given resolution that “if” the Republican PARTY (now in full control of Congress) approves Lynch as U.S. attorney general – whether it be at the hands of a few renegade RINOs or the majority of the Republican delegation – the party is over – forever.

    But wait! There’s always 2016….and 2020….and 2024….and 2028….and 2030….and….

It’s humiliating to admit it, but you describe me. I’ve always been the one to defend the indefensible by saying “would you rather have a democrat?” After last Saturday’s rude awaking at the AZ GOP state meeting, I’ve reassessed that position. Robert Graham’s antics in his orchestrated collusion with McCain and Flake and the hordes of Vietnam flag wavers brought in for the occasion in an attempt to whitewash John McCain, showed me in no uncertain terms what a fool I’ve been for nearly two decades as a precinct committeeman and state delegate. If Graham had pulled his stunt BEFORE the ballots were turned in, it’s a safe bet he would never have been reelected state chairman. I realize, too late, that I’ve been played for a sucker. When other disappointments have occurred, I’ve willingly made excuses for them or placed the blame where it really didn’t belong. It belongs with me and others like me who are taken in by slick talkers with an easy manner. I’ll finish my term, but will not run again. It’s difficult to admit it, but I’ve wasted a lot of time and energy. State chair Graham and Maricopa County chair Tyler Bowyer have a lot in common. Experienced conservatives are not what these two are seeking. They are both establishment tools. Let them make of the Republican party what they will. I’m winding down and moving on.

I am not really against a President getting the people he wants in appointed Adm positions, as it is more of an excuse if he has vacancies, but Congress should always exercise the oversight and be willing to cut off funding if necessary to operations which are mismanaged. Unfortunately, they are as guilty as Obama of waste and boondoggles like we have now with programs in the military that are neither needed or wanted.

Ted Kennedy helped scuttle Sessions’ judicial nomination in the 1980s. In 2006-2014 it was Sessions, DeMint and Vitter who scuttled the Kennedy-McCain-Graham-Flake-Gutierrez amnesties.

Here are the DC numbers for our AZ-hating Senators. They both have Phoenix numbers also.

Jeffie “Blonde Boy” McSnake ph: (202) 224-4521 fax: 202-228-0506

And conservative PC’s, DO NOT RESIGN! Do not surrender your kids’ & grandkids’ futures to slavery. Now that you seen the truth, KEEP FIGHTING to save US. Don’t just walk into the “showers.” It is the white flag wavers who have allowed the McRINOS to take over again.

So………called mcFlake’s D.C. office. I got a recorded message, allowing me to leave a recorded message. I did. Not that it’ll do ANY GOOD WHAT-SO-EVER, but I did it. I just wanna’ rip all my own hair out & throw myself on th’ floor like a 4 year old in frustration!!!!!!!!! The inmates are running th’ asylum & while it’ll never be proven, I stand by my assertion that these sham politicians are on o’bastard’s payroll.
