Turncoats vote with Dems to sign GOP death warrant

Remember their names and their votes

In our world of instantaneous news delivery, this is already stale by many standards since it occurred two days ago. Like most conservatives who rejoiced when the GOP regained control of the U.S. House and Senate this past Nov. 4, we are still  trying to shake some sense out of this capitulation.

Speaker John Boehner’s white flag surrender Tuesday to Democrat pressure to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security through the 2015 fiscal year, ended a contentious three-month face-off centered on Barack Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty.  The resulting  sweeping amnesty for at least 30 million illegal aliens —- assuring them numerous citizen paid benefits and protection from deportation, comes after Obama repeatedly stated (video) he was the president, “not the emperor,” and couldn‘t do what he ultimately did.

How long before they will be voting. rendering the Republican Party permanently irrelevant?

It was briefly heartening to read of an earlier move by nearly 3 dozen conservative House Republicans to establish the House Freedom Caucus intended to give “a voice to countless Americans who feel that Washington does not represent them. We support open, accountable and limited government, the Constitution and the rule of law, and policies that promote the liberty, safety and prosperity of all Americans,” according to the caucus’ mission statement. Arizona U. S. Rep. Matt Salmon (R-CD 5) was a founding member.

Yet after weeks of stalemate, Boehner ultimately caved and the House voted on a “clean” bill replenishing DHS funds, without separating the issues. The legislation passed 257 to 167, with the unified support of all Democrats who voted and 75 turncoat Republicans. Obama happily signed it.  Check out the individual votes here.

Martha McSally, Arizona’s newly elected CD 2 Republicrat,  joined with the Democrats. Regardless of what she gives as her reasons for betrayal, she should not be reelected.

“This isn’t about party,” Congressman Salmon was quoted as saying following the vote. “This isn’t about policy. It isn’t about politics.  My opposition to this bill is based primarily on the fundamental separation of powers which the President has violated. The same powers he himself said over 20 times that he did not hold.”

Salmon was right about Obama’s power grab, but wrong about it not being about party. This is Obama’s petulant parting shot across the Republican bow for retaking both chambers. His aim is to gut the GOP.

As Baseball Hall of Famer Yogi Berra observed and SRAZ wrote last year, “It’s déjà vu all over again.”

Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint has written an excellent commentary on this shameful debacle, “If Not Now … When? Will the GOP Majority Ever Stand for Anything?” We highly recommend his assessment.

Just last week Obama’s executive AMNESTY was unconstitutional … but this week the Republican House, led by turncoat John Boehner, GAVE Obama the constitutional authority for amnesty by approving the federal money to be spent for its implementation. This “clean bill” for DHS and illegals gave them capacity to get Social Security cards and green cards that would TRANSFORM our social welfare programs into one of a sugar daddy’s bank account. The “taxpayers back” has been broken by this vote, for we are the prostitutes and the sugar daddy government is OUR PIMP.
This “amnesty” isn’t legal in the first place … FOR IT IS NOT REGISTERD in the Federal Registry. That’s the place where regulations by government departments MUST post the details of ANY rule changes for public view. But is the usual manner of Obama, “You first have to vote for it, to know what is in it”. The Republicans ARE that stupid today. Tyranny is here folks.
When Obama was in Las Vegas Nov 21 2014 announcing his “deferred actions” for illeglas already in the USA … HE NEVER SIGNED that Executive Order to make it legal. When agencies issue regulations they are required to follow an open public process, according to the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). Part of the process includes publishing a statement of rulemaking authority in the Federal Register for all proposed and final rules. In fact, the last item DHS filed in the Federal Register that was relevant to DACA was on April 4 2014, and it was a form revision having nothing to do with the actions Obama announced Nov. 20. http://www.teaparty.org/
    .
DHS secretary Jeh Johnson was the vehicle chosen by the Obama administration to extend temporary residency status, and he will be the scapegoat for Obama. How many times have we seen this with Obama, it is the mark of a man possessed who doesn’t take responsibility FOR ANYTHING. He is the leader and pied-piper for the Cabal Of Thieves, the man behind the curtain of OZ.
Jeh Johnson’s decision to exercise “prosecutorial discretion”, was not a change in rules, it was an action that was applied to a GROUP of individuals … NOT an Individual personally as the law states it should. Obama’s directive to Johnson does not confer any form of legal status in this country, much less citizenship; it simply means that, for a specified period of time, an individual is permitted to be lawfully present in the United States. NOR CAN a “deferred action” itself lead to a green card.
When Obama told us in Chicago Nov. 20 after his announcement that “I took action to change the Law” he was really telling us … I’m a Dictator and Congress cannot do anything about me, … that was until Boehner and the Republicans became complicit with shredding our Constitution, and our national border protection.

Conservative syndicated columnist Ann Coulter got it right two years ago when she wrote this column “Hispanicked GOP elite: They’ll respect us in the morning”
    http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2013-02-20.html

It’s a shame that Matt Salmon missed reading this. It might have altered his view regarding what this overreach is actually about and that is INCREASING THE NUMBERS OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY. Nothing could be plainer, yet these brain numbed idiotic RINOs who voted with the Dems eagerly supported the agenda.

they know the realities of what will happen and DO NOT CARE.

its only the lobbyists they care about

  3. SmallGovt says:

McSally was totally unqualified and once again we seei what happens when a person with only public service experience is elected. All the salutes and people saying “thank you for your service” (highly paid and benefited) do not and should not mean a thing when we elect a representative to Congress. It got you McCain and McSally and likely will get you more.

    • Ellsworth says:

Absolutely “thank you for your service!!!” These brave men and women put their lives on the line defending America’s liberty and providing security. It’s highly doubtful you ever put on a uniform in defense of American values, though you reprehensibly disparage them. You have been the beneficiary of their patriotism. Many have not returned or have come home with severe wounds from the service you vilify.
I don’t have to like Martha McSally (which I don’t) to honor her service. Your fixation on what other people earn diminishes everything you say. Our military personnel are not overpaid. Many of the rank and fie qualify for public assistance.

      • Overtaxed1 says:

And then there is General Portreaus betray us when he and others demonstrate ways some our ex military betray this country. The deaths of every American citizen from the hands of illegals is just blood on the hands of those who have served and now want to be thanked for their service when their ultimate deeds and votes are allowing those illegals to invade our highways and homes. I was a Navy wife and I can tell you that not all the men who earn a pay check in our military are good men. Stop the bleeding heart nonsense where the McCain and McSally “honor” is concerned…very few are buying it.

  4. LD 23 PC says:

There is only one penalty that should be given the Republicans who helped to defeat a three-week stop-gap continuing resolution to give the House and Senate more time to reach an agreement. Their names should go down in infamy and they should be actively challenged and defeated in two years.

    • SmallGovt says:

But it takes more than Republicans to guarantee passage. This is what is missing. Just like Keystone it is the democrats who should be pressured.

    • ZOO says:

The concept that “more time” would have altered the outcome is pure malarkey, this has been going on for over 3 months. The Obama administration is ignoring the ‘stay’ issued last month and DHS is actively soliciting bids from contractors to process legalization papers right this very minute – as reported by Judicial Watch. Where are they getting the funds (under the stay) to do that?

An article on Breitbart yesterday revealed that the Obama regime processed 7,000,000 amnesty seekers in 2014, while the propaganda (lies) for DACA estimated about 800,000 would qualify. A can kicking of three weeks would have bought enough time to process another 400,000 at the 2014 rate. The reps voting against the 3-week extension were saying ‘stop this right now!’ Fortunately for the Democrats, the many-splintered views of “conservatives” add up to nothing more than a deer in the headlights. A ‘sense of urgency’ in not in their vocabulary.

  5. Conservative Since Birth says:

Jim DeMint’s commentary above is excellent. He’s a true Conservative.

I am so disgusted I can’t put it into words. Obama has gotten his way for 6 years. The first two because Democrats owned D.C.
But we the people, for the next 4 years, voted to stop the progressives and won midterms. But we’re still losing the war because of the ‘leadership’ in the House and Senate.

It’s clear that the GOP establishment is in league with the progressives with the same agenda. Party? They don’t care about party. They don’t care about us. To ‘fight back,’ I became an Independent several years ago. They don’t care.

I was involved in fighting illegal immigration for 25 years when living in California. We saw CHP officers killed on the freeways by drunk illegals who came back after being deported, you name it and illegal aliens did it and Americans paid the price. It never got better. Today, it’s worse than ever.

Where do we go to stop it. Rhetorical question.

  6. ZOO says:

Who was shocked that ALL the former ‘AZ4’ all voted against the full funding until September? I was. Does it make sense that Schweikert and Gosar voted in favor of the 3-week funding, then voted against funding until September?

If you have read some of the analysis elsewhere, it makes perfect sense. This was well plotted. Boehner timed the sellout under cover of darkness – Netanyahu’s speech. The clean full-funding vote was story #6 on NBC Nightly News.

On Monday, a spokesman for Pelosi charged that Boehner had made a deal to pass a clean bill in exchange for the Democrat support of 1-week funding (who had all voted against 3-week funding – ??). Boehner adamantly denied it. Then the very next morning, Boehner puts the bill up for a vote – knowing that he had full Democrat support and enough Republicans to pass it.

From that point, it was a lesson in basic arithmetic. Perusing the list of the 75 Republican House Reps who voted yes for funding until September, they are basically no-name unknowns. The numbers allowed more prominent Republican House Reps (such as the AZ4) to vote NO – a claim they can carry into their reelection campaigns.

The GOP cleverly masterminded a scheme to hand the all-powerful CoC what they had demanded – while appearing to be, in majority, against it. Did this charade fool the small sector of the Republican electorate who are opposed to cheap illegal labor/amnesty? My guess is 9 out of 10. They remain distracted in the absolute futile effort to “fix the party” and “elect conservative Republicans.”

    • g smith says:

Matt Salmon voted for Boehner. You can’t tell me this wasn’t pre-planned between house & senate leadership way before the election. We keep voting people like Mat Salmon in who keep voting for Boehner. Gosar is the only principled Republican in the whole bunch. I think it’s because Gosar has a job. He’s a dentist. Does Matt Salmon have a job outside of government? Do any of the others have successful jobs they have left to represent us? Stop supporting the GOP. AZRA….look it up. Defund the GOP.

      • Conservative Since Birth says:

I haven’t trusted Gosar since he first threw his dentist’s hat in the ring. He appeared one Saturday morning, asking for votes, where we (Tea Party) went to listen to him. When he/his staff got wind that the Tea Party was there, we were relegated to the end of the line. He took everyone else to chat with first. Some of them came out sneering and laughing at the Tea Party people.

Finally we got in (last) and all of a sudden security was very evident. Gosar was defensive answering questions about illegal immigration, etc. There was NO RESON for his strange reaction.

Now he appears to “support” the Tea Party and “conservatives” and goes on a local conservative radio show playing a conservative. His rating is pretty good as a ‘conservative.’ I’m not a fan of Paul Gosar.

  9. LEO IN TSN says:

Sadly for US, those who suspect a “set-up” deal are correct. These votes are counted long before the floor vote, and some (read McAMNESTY AZ4) are allowed to vote “against” the bill for the benefit of the little folk back home. The AZ4 came out for AMNESTY over two years ago, and nothing has changed except the ire of the little folk.

McBoehner and his puppets will never oppose obamao. McBoehner and probably many of his puppets are making millions of dollars every year off of the obamaocare companies that he invested heavily in, right after obamaocare was passed. He has already made millions, and with millions more illegal aliens being dumped into the system, his companies (and he) will make many millions more – off of US.

    http://www.wnd.com/2015/01/boehner-profits-from-obamacare-stocks/

Now they will make millions off of AMNESTY, by payoffs and by insider trading of the companies that will print green cards, set up services etc for illegals, and on and on.

The House (read new AZ4) has literally sold US out.

    God bless America.
