Obama mocked the right border security idea

A piranha filled moat would be cost-effective deterrent

It’s no secret illegal immigration is a major problem in the United States. It is a devastating reality in Arizona where the sieve-like border provides a portal for a seemingly unending flood of illegal aliens, drugs and crime.

While chaos reigned on the U.S./Mexico border, former Arizona governor Janet Napolitano became notorious for her derisive 2005 quip, “You show me a 50-foot wall and I’ll show you a 51-foot ladder at the border. That’s the way the border works.”

In 2008 we were told a virtual fence was to be a technological advancement that would provide an alternative to “divisive” walls and federal agents policing the Arizona-Mexico border. The multimillion dollar project was a virtual flop and was ultimately scrapped.

Then in 2011 Obama stood at the Texas/Mexico border and declared Republicans will “never be satisfied” (video) by the amount of border protection he claimed to have put in place, although the border is more dangerous than ever. “Maybe they’ll need a moat,“ Obama mocked. “Maybe they’ll want alligators in the moat. They’ll never be satisfied.”

2014 saw the orchestrated deluge of over 90,000 illegal children —- mostly Central American and Mexican —- into the United States.

We now read that approximately 39,000 more unaccompanied minors are expected to enter the U.S. in another surge of illegal Central American children. Their parents believe they will be given amnesty via Obama’s unilateral executive orders  and be the conduits for the absurdity known as chain migration for other family members.

The often used and obviously erroneous number of invaders of our sovereign nation has been given as 11 million for years. They keep coming. The number is not static. Immigration Counters aggregates from the latest government and private sources, analyzes trending data and provides a more accurate count of the staggering influx —- many from terror-sponsoring countries around the globe.

The 2016 election cycle is just around the corner. The illegal invasion should be a paramount consideration as you select your candidates.  Attend forums. Ask office holders and office seekers the hard questions. Don’t equivocate or allow them to bluff their answers. Accept no double talk or finessing of these critical and costly issues. American citizens are entitled to a secure homeland. Silence is acquiescence.

The future of our nation is at stake.

Obama has a plan. He disdains American exceptionalism and intends to weaken our nation, or as he pledged, “Fundamentally Transform America.” As a committed Alinsky Marxist cloaked as a Democrat, he also wants to relegate the Republican party to the trash heap of American history by increasing the number of new foreign born Democrats. This isn’t rocket science.

    • Jim McAllister says:

That is an excellent one paragraph definition., LD. The amazing thing is that it is so obvious yet it is being allowed to happen. The Republicans rule Congress but sit back. There has to be SOMEONE on the D side who could force a super majority to overrule the charlatan in charge. So far, no such luck.

      • Conservative Since Birth says:

I cannot believe what I’m seeing since Obama took office. It’s like there’s no opposition party. McConnell announced that impeachment is off the table. Boehner sits there like a sad sack of potatoes. If anyone (Republican) speaks out – they’re quickly quieted down.

Bob Menendez (D-NJ) spoke out against Obama on Iran and “normalizing” relations with Cuba and was quickly indicted on several charges. I think everybody is afraid of Obama. As opposed to our enemies around the world – they’re not afraid of him.

Obama hates America and Americans. He’s destroying this country in record time. Illegal entries into this country are happening every day. Now he’s letting in blacks from Africa in record numbers. A photo showed them to be Muslims. The surest way to wreck this country is immigration from places that hate us (many Middle Eastern countries). What were the Boston Bombers doing in this country – when Russia alerted Obama about them – it was ignored.

The damage from immigration under Obama is the surest way to hurt this country. And he knows it.

Dick Cheney said “Obama wants to take America down.” Hugh Hewitt was incredulous! He says Obama is ‘inept’ and has no desire to take us down.

      • Kimball says:

Hugh Hewitt is a pompous jerk. I fully agree with Dick Cheney. Obama is out to destroy us.

  2. Enuff says:

A piranha filled wide moat would be a low cost and effective solution to this massive and very expensive problem. Much better than alligators, that migrate onto land. This could be accomplished quickly with large excavating equipment and at minimum expense. I’ll bet it would be effective.

    • Jim McAllister says:

Love it, Enuff. Especially the idea of piranha over alligators. Much more effective!

      • azgary says:

its very simple, the most effective way to keep out illegals is to deport illegals and put their employers in prison.

if they have nothing to gain they will not come, for every illegal allowed to stay here ten more will try to do the same.

  3. Hometown Guy says:

This post is another important reminder of what American citizens are being fed by the liberals and even the GOP establishment indebted to the illegal worker supporting Chamber of Commerce for the large campaign donations they dole out. George W. Bush was not as blatant as Barack H. Obama but he was also an amnesty supporter. Jeb Bush, married to a Mexican-born woman will be far worse. Karl Rove is pro-amnesty. McCain and Flake on both supportive of open borders policies, except during campaign season when the try to sound conservative. Remember McCain and “Build the dang fence?” Gosar, Salmon and Schweikert all signed onto a pro-amnesty double-talk letter that was printed in the AZ Repulsive. Trent Franks went outside to pray with illegals who had invaded the front yard of his home for two nights. Who is actually trustworthy?

  4. Orion says:

Crime? This illegal alien was free on bond when he murdered a young convenience store clerk over stolen cigarettes. He had been charged with other crimes and never jailed. Now a 21-year-old is dead because this POS was never deported or incarcerated.

  5. StetsonXXX says:

This recent police chase in Pinal County involves an illegal alien who was DEPORTED OVER 20 TIMES!!!!!!! Our laws have no teeth and the only one who was enforcing them—Sheriff Joe Arpaio— has been hamstrung by the liberal courts and is pounded daily by the lousy Arizona Repugnant newspaper.

  6. LEO IN TSN says:

Uhmmmm, can anyone say “AZ5 for AMNESTY?” or how ‘bout “We can’t use our power of the purse strings to protect America”

Uhhmmmm, can anyone say “McBrnovich will drop our defense of SB1070 and let the illegals come?”

Let’s not forget where it starts and where it should stop!

    God bless America.

  7. SmallGovt says:

I am not even against allowing them to work here so long as each is registered and has to carry an ID, their family not allowed, and they are not allowed to access any of our taxpayer paid services (education, healthcare, welfare). I am totally opposed to children of any non citizen being given citizenship if they are born here. That seems so simple that you would think that both sides could agree if it were about what was best for USA and American citizens….but it is about politics.

    • azgary says:

them staying here takes jobs from americans and drives down wages for americans. not to mention it would be impossible to deny them things like medical attention, schools, the burdens they place on law enforcement etc….

and staying will simply be a down payment or first step, if they stay, they will become citizens, their children will become citizens, they will overwhelmingly vote democrat, giving them an overwhelming permanent voting majority.

that is the results of amnesty, be it republican or democrat or you libertarians.

      • SmallGovt says:

And blathering about getting them all out plays into the hands of Democrats. We need to be smart for a change. I know that is difficult for many.

      • azgary says:

yeah, that worked out pretty well in the last amnesty(and it was a republican amnesty, all we did was create millions of democrat voters and turned California into a permanent blue state, the next amnesty will turn the nation permanently blue.
insanity is doing things repeatedly and expecting a different result.

but the pro amnesty folks such as yourself don’t really expect a different result. you just want amnesty

  8. SmallGovt says:

How foolish…I am totally opposed to amnesty and want every one of them here to carry an ID card with an expiration date on it and understand they are not citizens and cant receive any medical or educational or any taxpayer supported benefits. The cards would be subject to checking by any law enforcement and they are out of the country immediately if no card or an expired card.

I have not heard a better idea from anyone else.

    • Fed Up says:

I get it. You support importing more workers to compete with American citizens for fewer jobs and are OK with it as long as they have ID. While they’re here they have more babies who are automatic American citizens with the ability to bring in other family members through chain migration and family reunification ploys. The 14th Amendment giving birthright citizenship is not going away, although its original intent has been perverted.

Their kids compete for university placements and thanks to liberal educrats such as ASU’s Michael Crow, they have specific scholarships (unavailable to citizen students) at their disposal and have advocates for granting them in-state tuition at community colleges and universities.

Illegal Hispanics are not just doing stoop labor harvesting crops as in previous generations. And those known as “braceros” did the work and went home. Now they are taking construction jobs that used to be the backbone of support for American families across the nation. And with the education they’re getting at our expense, they’ll take other jobs leaving Americans further out in the cold.

      • SmallGovt says:

I guess you don’t get it because I am not for any of that. Birthright citizenship is the easiest thing to change.
