So very Sowell: Conservative genius takes on AZ Leftist Grijalva

Take time to read Dr. Thomas Sowell’s most recent column, ‘The New Inquisition.’

Marching in lockstep on the very debatable topic of “global warming” is the issue as Marxist U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, who runs as a Democrat, attempts to silence scientists whose free speech and divergent views interfere with his extremist political agenda. The Arizona Congressman has been writing to universities, demanding financial records showing who is financing the research of dissenting scientists, and demanding their internal communications as well. This is political correctness run amok and the right to dissent being shut down.

This letter posted on WUWT is an example of Grijalva’s witch hunting techniques in which he uses the signature Alinskyite tactics of the community organizer he once was.

The Daily Caller’s video points to 2014 as another year without global warming.—-  joining  219 months with no significant upward temperature trend.

This is an excellent post about the farce known as global warming. After Al Gore milked it for all it was worth and American school kids were forced to take his inconvenient lies as truth by their liberal unionist teachers, it was revealed by scientists that global warming was actually a cycular global cooling. When that couldn’t be explained by the lefties, the name was quickly switched to ‘climate change.’

I always appreciate seeing Dr. Sowell on Seeing Red AZ. It was my first clue years back that this was a reliable conservative site. Thanks for keeping so many of us updated on things we often miss.

It is great to hear from an expert climate scientist like you about this issue. But the facts are that neither you or Sowell do not have a final answer to this question. We know there are weather changes and maybe there is human involvement, maybe not. But to deny there are changes is just stupid.

      • Doc says:

“Cycular” changes indicate the ADMISSION of the global climate changes…the word “cycular” indicates the more common term, “cycle” which indicates to me that this kind of temperature change occurs…in cycles…REGULARLY…IN NATURE. So, there was/is NO DENIAL. Perhaps you should READ THE TEXT FULLY before making rash statements! It’s great to speak with someone who doesn’t read the entire text….yay.

off topic, but something good, even to this die hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan:
“After University Canceled ‘American Sniper’ Showing, Football Coach Harbaugh Made This Announcement
University of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh announced on Twitter Wednesday night that his team will hold a screening of “American Sniper” after the school pulled a showing when some students called it “anti-Muslim.”
“Michigan Football will watch ‘American Sniper’! Proud of Chris Kyle & Proud to be an American & if that offends anybody then so be it!” the coach tweeted to his nearly quarter-of-a-million followers.”

Even the Pope has jumped onboard this leftwing propaganda machine as a means of furthering the redistributing wealth, one of his favorite socialist topics, along with his aversion to capitalism.

As someone who was raised Catholic and attended parochial schools, I can’t abide today’s church. I’ll take Rush over Francis any day of the week! For obvious reasons, my Catholic wife refused to allow our sons to attend parochial schools or be active in any priest-led activity unless one of us was present.

Aha! A climate-denier? Then you must suffer the consequences and lose your ability to earn a living!!
What’s not to love about a Marxist like Raul Grijalva?

    Hi SRAZ,
just thought I would bring this up in hopes of a reminder of what tomorrow is the anniversary of. We do not hear about things like this much, and I threw in a govt perspective on what happened.

Oh and I added multiple links knowing it would cause moderation, as its too long to be a comment, but something you might choose to bring up at sraz.

The Shot Heard ‘Round The World- 240 Years Ago Today, The American Revolution Began….
    April 20, 1775

    The American Revolution begins

At about 5 a.m., 700 British troops, on a mission to capture Patriot leaders and seize a Patriot arsenal, march into Lexington to find 77 armed minutemen under Captain John Parker waiting for them on the town’s common green. British Major John Pitcairn ordered the outnumbered Patriots to disperse, and after a moment’s hesitation the Americans began to drift off the green. Suddenly, the “shot heard around the world” was fired from an undetermined gun, and a cloud of musket smoke soon covered the green. When the brief Battle of Lexington ended, eight Americans lay dead or dying and 10 others were wounded. Only one British soldier was injured, but the American Revolution had begun.

By 1775, tensions between the American colonies and the British government approached the breaking point, especially in Massachusetts, where Patriot leaders formed a shadow revolutionary government and trained militias to prepare for armed conflict with the British troops occupying Boston. In the spring of 1775, General Thomas Gage, the British governor of Massachusetts, received instructions from England to seize all stores of weapons and gunpowder accessible to the American insurgents. On April 18, he ordered British troops to march against the Patriot arsenal at Concord and capture Patriot leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock, known to be hiding at Lexington.

The Boston Patriots had been preparing for such a military action by the British for some time, and upon learning of the British plan, Patriots Paul Revere and William Dawes were ordered to set out to rouse the militiamen and warn Adams and Hancock. When the British troops arrived at Lexington, Adams, Hancock, and Revere had already fled to Philadelphia, and a group of militiamen were waiting. The Patriots were routed within minutes, but warfare had begun, leading to calls to arms across the Massachusetts countryside.

When the British troops reached Concord at about 7 a.m., they found themselves encircled by hundreds of armed Patriots. They managed to destroy the military supplies the Americans had collected but were soon advanced against by a gang of minutemen, who inflicted numerous casualties. Lieutenant Colonel Frances Smith, the overall commander of the British force, ordered his men to return to Boston without directly engaging the Americans. As the British retraced their 16-mile journey, their lines were constantly beset by Patriot marksmen firing at them Indian-style from behind trees, rocks, and stone walls. At Lexington, Captain Parker’s militia had its revenge, killing several British soldiers as the Red Coats hastily marched through his town. By the time the British finally reached the safety of Boston, nearly 300 British soldiers had been killed, wounded, or were missing in action. The Patriots suffered fewer than 100 casualties.

The battles of Lexington and Concord were the first battles of the American Revolution, a conflict that would escalate from a colonial uprising into a world war that, seven years later, would give birth to the independent United States of America.

This same story from another (big Govt) perspective:

Seventy-two killed resisting gun confiscation in Boston!

Boston – National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

On July 4th, 1776 these same extremists signed the Declaration of Independence, pledging to each other and their countrymen their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. Many of them lost everything, including their families and their lives over the course of the next few years.

    Lest we forget…

  6. LEO IN TSN says:

Great post, Gary, God bless America! How sad that we are just surrendering this great country that these great heroes fought and died to pass to US.

Raul Grijalva (Communist-Sonora, MX) was re-elected to Congress by the AZ McGOP, the McRNC, the AZ5 and the Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Tucson. There was a great conservative patriotic candidate running against Grijalva, but she was too conservative for these traitors. So they all worked their magic to torpedo her campaign and give LD3 back to Grijalva and the Marxists who are intent on destroying US.

All of these traitors do not want a free and prosperous America. They are creating their own form of slavery, and it is not good for US. Now they want to arrest conservative Republicans, just so the rest of US will get our minds right. We get what you elect.

    God bless America.
