Who’s $pending to exert political influence?

Record amounts spent by three top lobbying groups in Q2, 2015

On July 20th, filings on federal lobbying expenditures made between April 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015 were due to the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives. MapLight analyzed the 10 organizations that spent the most on lobbying Congress and federal agencies during this time period.

Take a guess which three organizations spent record amounts on lobbying efforts in the second quarter of 2015.

The arrows on either side of this chart, move to the next lobbying group and the amount they spent to influence votes. This compelling site is chock full of intriguing information regarding the money flow.

If you’ve wondered why your members of the U.S. House and Senate aren’t responding to your concerns about such crucial issues as the continuing illegal invasion of our country, the answer can be found on these pages. Let’s face it. Your donations are just too damn paltry. It’s impossible for individuals to compete with the mega-funding of the amnesty-supporting, illegal labor profiteers at the Chamber of Commerce.

Check out some of the bills by clicking on the bill title and compare the funding to the votes. Money talks.

MapLight bills itself as “celebrating 10 years of revealing money’s influence on politics.”  We think you’ll agree they do a bang-up job. There’s even more to find as you nose around the site. Chances are you’ll spend some quality time here.

When I read this load of unenforceable BS by three of Arizona’s GOP supposed “representatives”  (David Schweikert, Matt Salmon and Paul Gosar) last year, I knew the $$$ fix was in. They sure don’t represent me or anyone I know on illegal immigration. They begin their deceit with the old canard that America is a nation of immigrants, ignoring the fact that America is actually a nation of citizens. The amnesty pushers at the Arizona Repulsive were all too happy to print this garbage. I will not be voting for anyone who churns out this swill and expects us to swallow it

Fascinating information here. Thanks SRAZ. it’s clear our political class is beholden…not to the voters who put them in office, but to the big money donors who keep them there.

  3. American Dad says:

Does anyone even need to wonder what the Chamber of Commerce expects in return for the millions of dollars it doles out to members of congress?

    only acceptable immigration reform

    • Night Owl says:

Trump says whatever pops into his head at any particular moment. I view illegal immigration as the single most important issue facing America today. Listen to your hero Trump. He actually says he could support Jeb Bush, even after noting that he’s weak on illegal immigration.

    • Tucson GOP says:

Trump is a billionaire businessman who is used to winning. Now, he wants to win the biggest prize in the world.

One day he’s going to build a wail and make Mexico pay for it. The next day he says he’s going to put a door in the wall. Another day he says he’s going to deport all of the illegals, and then follows that with a declaration that he’s going to “expedite” bringing the “good” illegals back into the US. He’s also onboard with the DREAMERs because he has a “soft heart.” Trump is a false prophet and those who are following him are fools.

I can say that because I was one. Then I started paying attention. He is not a leader and has no actual answers to anything. Listen to him. He also calls Hillary Clinton a “terrfic woman.”
