Don’t be conned by Carly

Joe Miller, an Alaska conservative with a remarkable bio, has the keen ability to make us think with his bog, “ Restoring Liberty.”

Today we urge you to read a piece on his site by Randy DeSoto that exposes GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina. “Revealed: Exactly Who Carly Fiorina’s Charity Donated $500,000 to – It Will Disturb You.”

Then political analyst Bethany Blankley, a guest on Joe Miller’s radio show discusses Carly Fiorina’s praise of Islam in this speech, (full text) given two weeks following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Titled, “Technology, Business and Our Way of Life: What’s Next,” she ties courage, leadership, heroes, and “the questions of life and death” to business leaders learning from one of the greatest civilizations to ever exist: Islamic civilization.  In the oddly timed speech delivered on September 26, 2001, Fiorina noted the accomplishments made by the Arab and Islamic worlds in advancing civilization, saying,

“This civilization was driven more than anything, by invention. Its architects designed buildings that defied gravity. Its mathematicians created the algebra and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption. Its doctors examined the human body, and found new cures for disease. Its astronomers looked into the heavens, named the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration.

Its writers created thousands of stories. Stories of courage, romance and magic. Its poets wrote of love, when others before them were too steeped in fear to think of such things,” Fiorina added

In dark and serious times like this, we must affirm our commitment to building societies and institutions that aspire to this kind of greatness. More than ever, we must focus on the importance of leadership –- bold acts of leadership and decidedly personal acts of leadership,” Fiorina concluded.

Fiorina doesn’t get any better with the passage of time. We recently posted, “ Carly Fiorina unmasked as McCain, Hillary supporter,” which includes this illuminating video showing Fiorina heaping praise on both John McCain and Hillary Clinton. Fiorina served as economic adviser to, and high dollar campaign bundler for, John McCain and gives rave reviews to Hillary Clinton.

While it’s undeniable that both Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio are stellar orators, it’s time to pull back the curtain on their debating skills and see their slick campaign presentations as covering their actual left-of-center positions.

Conservatives can do better.  Much better.

There’s a lot to digest here, and none of it is tasty. Carly can add “political opportunist” to her resume. I have to admit that I’ve been impressed by her. That was before reading about her and watching her videos posted here. I had never previously known of her support for McCain which by itself is a deal breaker for me. The rest of this points to a deceptive woman who is willing to say anything to advance herself.

  2. Frankly Speaking says:

This video in which Obama glorifies Islam and speaks of “civilization’s debt” to Islam (1:35) has portions that sound identical to the words in Carly Fiorina’s Sept. 26, 2001 speech. It’s clear to me that some of her words were lifted directly from Obama. I’m disgusted.

  3. Conservative Since Birth says:

The video above with Fiorina singing the praises of McCain is barf-inducing and that alone is enough to kill her chances.

    From the following link:

“Several of my friends have opined that Carly Fiorina would make a great VP to Donald Trump. She sounds so good, and she makes some valid points, but actions speak louder than words, as we all well know. In my book, Carly Fiorina is just another Trotskyite, and if you won’t go that far, she clearly uses Marxist techniques. Read on, and I’ll explain.” (Pages 4 & 5 cover Fiorina)

    Fiorina and Common Core

Craig Barrett, AZ’s chief Common Core promoter and Chairman of the Board at Achieve Inc. (architects of the Common Core standards), hosted a private fundraiser for Carly Fiorina in AZ on 9/10/15, according to the Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC) Briefs.

Craig Barrett, Arizona’s poorer version of Bill Gates, routinely supports candidates for Governor and Superintendent of Education who then go on to advocate for his position of supporting common core learning standards and the suctioning of our kids’ data to all of his buddies at the Chamber of Commerce.

Thanks for the link to this fact-filled article. To call Carly Fiorina
“suspect” qualifies as the height of understatement.

  4. Saguaro Sam says:

    Here’s another reason:
In 2009, Fiorina gave an interview to “Human Events”, in which she stated that she probably would have voted for Sonia Sotomayor for the US Supreme Court—-but adding that she didn’t really know much about Sotomayor.

    she’s a closet McCainiac, folks.

Here’s the link to the story and her statement:

    • Patriot Dad says:

The vote to confirm liberal Democrat Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court was 68-to-31. Each and every Democrat and Independent present voted YES. (Sen. Ted . Kennedy, who was seriously ill was not present for the vote). NINE of the 40 senate Republicans voted for her confirmation, or 23 percent of the Republicans in the Senate.
Dems always hang together. Why do Republicans always ensure they get what they want?
