GOP leadership collude with Obama, Dems on budget

This is why “political outsiders” Donald Trump and Ben Carson are surging

Presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) released this statement Tuesday. It came in response to Senate Majority Leader McConnell and lame duck House Speaker Boehner’s budget deal with lame duck President Obama and Congressional Democrats to extend Washington’s failed spending policies another two years.  Cruz called the grand bargain a slap in the face for conservatives and a victory for the Washington Cartel:

“For anyone wondering about the source of the American people’s volcanic frustration with Washington, one need look no further than so-called ‘Republican’ majorities in both houses of Congress increasing the budget and our debt by more than $400 billion. It’s ridiculous, deceitful, and a disgrace.

Make no mistake: the Speaker’s golden parachute is a victory for the Washington Cartel, for the politically connected elite, and for big business and lobbyists who get in bed with career politicians to grow government. Unfortunately, it is a loss for single moms, for Hispanics and African Americans, for small businesses, and for all of those hardworking Americans who can’t afford expensive lobbyists and are hurting the most under the Obama Administration’s failed policies.

No one in Congress who campaigned on stopping President Obama’s runaway spending and debt should vote to advance or pass this golden parachute that gives Obama and Boehner nearly everything they want. This budget completely annihilates the 2011 budget caps, the one successful attempt at spending restraint in the Obama era. We should never default on our debt, but this deal suspends the debt ceiling, saddling future generations with the bill for our reckless spending, while making no meaningful reforms to the programs driving our runaway spending.

President Obama and Speaker Boehner are heading into retirement. Some people get a gold watch. Obama and Boehner are settling for at least $80 billion in additional spending and debt above the budget caps. Unfortunately, our children and grandchildren will be left to foot the bill long after they are gone.”

Weepy slobbery Boehner is a disgrace. McConnell is a longstanding McCain pal and the same brand of RINO. I attended an event here in Phoenix years ago when I was new to the political process. It featured McCain, McConnell and McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao, before Dubya Bush appointed her U.S. Secretary of Labor. Today i’m much wiser and would have torn up the invitation.

Ted Cruz couldn’t be more right!!

Congressional disapproval is at all time highs. Gallup runs ongoing surveys on how Americans regard the job Congress is doing. The most recent poll showed 82 percent hold them in low esteem with only a 13 percent approval rating. Given the abuses and disregard of the taxpayers who pay their salaries, perks and keep their lavish offices staffed, it’s difficult to imagine but 4 percent have no opinion! These are obviously the same deadheads who keep returning McCain and his ilk to DC.

Paul Ryan, the speaker-in-waiting, called the bill the result of a process that “stinks.” That’s true. It’s also a subterfuge intended to give him cover, since it’s a certainty he will be no different than John Boehner.

All of these so-call conservative groups are really Rinos at heart. Look at the Club For Growth spending thousands of dollars on commercials against the front runners in the presidential race. They want to clear the path for Bush. I have lost all hope for the Republican party and the campaign conservatives.

    Regarding the AZ Republican Party
Tuesday evening, after 8 p.m., my telephone rang.

The caller I.D. showed “AZ Republic”.

However, when the call went to voice mail, it turned out to be a lengthy message from the AZ Republican Party.

Suddenly, the AZ GOP knows me and wants to connect with me.

Forget all those times that McCain made it impossible to attend his “townhall” meetings. Forget about McCain going on national TV and radio calling conservatives “crazies”.

    Note to All:
Never Forget What the GOP has done to US.

I am surprised that there is no mention of the establshment Pablo Ryanos a k a Rino, being supported by the AZ delagation. If we don’t hold them accountable which we failed to do when all but Gosar voted for for Boehner then we lose the Party to the big spenders, pro amnesty traitors. Hear us Az Congressmen, stand up for the folks back home for a change

Good point! I saw Congressman Trent Franks on Fox News this morning giving “atta boys” to Ryan. I long ago stopped contributing the the AZ McGOP and to the members of the AZ McGOP DC delegation.

I now donate very selectively and only to those who understand our urgent need for actual border security. These days that only includes heroic Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and McCain challenger Dr. Kelli Ward.

Just heard that Ryan was elected and get this, by secret vote so they think they can deny their traitorous ways. Remember when you vote in your congressman/woman just how they stabbed you in the back. Time to vote out these pukes but we all know we have no good replacements. The GOP is toast!

  8. Conservative Since Birth says:

Time to ‘primary-out’ Ryan. Just learned about the book ‘How To Bag a Rino’ by the managers of the Dave Brat Campaign. A great blueprint for Ryan’s district.
