4th GOP debate tonight: Main event 7 PM (AZ time)

Undercard event begins at 5 pm (AZ time)

The prime-time debate which will last two hours begins tonight at 7:00 pm AZ Time, (9 pm ET) and includes candidates who earned 2.5 percent or higher in the four most recent national polls conducted through Nov. 4.

This top-tier event features Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich and Rand Paul. Moderators are Fox Business Managing Editor Neil Cavuto and Global Markets editor Maria Bartiromo, along with Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief Gerard Baker.

To qualify for the single hour second-rung debate, the bar is low. Candidates need only score at least 1 percent in the polls. This event will start at 5:00 pm AZ time, (7 pm ET). Relegated to second stage this time around are Mike Huckabee and Chris Christie. They will appear with Bobby Jindal and Rick Santorum.

This event will be hosted by Fox Business’ Sandra Smith and Trish Regan and Wall Street Journal Washington bureau chief Gerald Seib.

Neither Lindsey Graham nor George Pataki qualified for the debate stage, having failed to meet the 1 percent minimum requirement.

Both debates promise to focus on jobs, taxes and the economy, as well as domestic and international policy issues. They will be broadcast from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Locate Fox Business Channel here. Cox Channel 68 and Radio KFYI 550-AM will also be among outlets carrying the debates.

Chris Christie is not my candidate but at least he has passion and a wealth of experience. If Jeb Bush looked down, he’d see his toes have begun to curl. With his sense of entitlement, Amnesty Jeb doesn’t have the sense to lie down. It’s over for him. He should have be the one of these two relegated to the second stage.

  2. LD 23 PC says:

Last debate KFYI radio didn’t broadcast the “undercard” debate. They stuck with the main event. This time, with even fewer candidates, that’s even more likely.

As Dr. Ben Carson’s campaign continues to soar, the MSM are working double time to destroy him. He will prevail despite the efforts. Both Carson’s and Trump’s outsider campaigns epitomize America’s desire to halt DC business as usual. Nearly 70, Hillary is the Democrat aging poster child for a continuation of insider DC deceit. She ‘s their Jeb Bush on steroids, but with the left, it doesn’t matter. There’s still a large segment of mostly younger voters, supporting 74-year-old acknowledged Socialist Bernie Sanders. Our youth have no concept of the differences between Capitalism, Socialism and Communism, since the leftist unionized teachers have done an outstanding job of brainwashing. Watch this short ad through to the end to hear the NEA’s legal counsel describe their actual goals:

    In the news today:
Rubio still on board with green cards for illegals
    and
Ben Carson “signals openness to Obama’s Pacific Rim Trade Deal”

    both stories on breitbart.com today.

    • Conservative Since Birth says:

Ben Carson stated he’s in favor of Puerto Rican statehood, even though the country is flat-broke.

  5. Conservative Since Birth says:

Know who’s moderating to understand the questioning:

To quote Sundance (Breitbart Conservative Treehouse) on the moderators:

“The Fox Business News debate moderators are: Trish Regan (leftist democrat,) Sandra Smith (moderate independent,) Maria Bartiromo (center-right conservative,) and Neil Cavuto (establishment GOPe Republican and Tom Donohue Chamber of Commerce advocate.)”

    • MacBeth says:

So even though the name “Fox’ is tied to this debate, it appears to be more of the same type of liberal crew we were treated to in the previous debate. That might explain why this SRAZ post says, “Both debates promise to focus on jobs, taxes and the economy, as well as domestic and international policy issues.”
I noticed that word “PROMISE” right away.

      • Conservative Since Birth says:

The first “Fox” debate with Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier was a circus from the beginning. They had a Plan B to ‘walk Donald Trump off the stage” if “he” got out of hand. Fair and Balanced?

Hopefully, something was learned from debate #1. Don’t “attack” the big target and let others have equal time.

  6. Hagar says:

I watched both debates last night. Frankly I found the earlier one with the junior varsity much more interesting.

  7. LEO IN TSN says:

Ben Carson is a pro-AMNESTY liberal, and doesn’t have the tools to be President & Commander-in-Chief to restore American power and presence. His plans for AMNESTY will destroy US. It’s time to get past the “Dancing With the Stars” glitter and start looking to the candidates’ histories and qualifications.

From the New York Times report on the Debate:
Mr. [Sen. Ted] Cruz said Democrats were actually laughing. “If the Republicans join Democrats as the party of amnesty, we will lose,” he said.
Mr. Cruz suggested that Republican donors were tone-deaf on the issue because they did not appreciate the economic impact of what he said was illegal immigrants’ pushing down American wages. “The politics of it would be very, very different if a bunch of lawyers or bankers were crossing the Rio Grande,” he said, adding that the news coverage would also differ if undocumented immigrants were seeking journalism jobs.
“Then we would see stories about the economic calamity that is befalling our nation,” he said.
And, citing his own father’s legal emigration from Cuba, Mr. Cruz said the suggestion that opposing an immigration overhaul meant that Republicans were anti-immigrant was “offensive.”

Back to the present – Sen. Cruz is the only one who talks like this, straight up and based in reality. He is the only one who has a long history of fighting the fight for US, and of consistently opposing liberals and confronting hypocrisy in both Parties. If we don’t get it right with this primary, it’ll be open season on conservative patriots.

    God bless America.

  8. Saguaro Sam says:

Jeb Bush’s father has a new book out, entitled “Destiny and Power”.
Much of the material in the book comes from the extensive written and audio diaries of both Mr. and Mrs G.H.W. Bush.

Seems like Mr. and Mrs GHW Bush want you to know that they are from old WASP money and that few people in the political world —or any world—were good enough for them.

Bush, the elder, had vicious things to say about many people, especially Nancy Reagan, and Bob Dole.

Interestingly, today, it is being reported that Bob Dole has officially endorsed Jebby.

(The book also contains many stories about Jebby which you would Not find surprising, and it is clear that Jebby was Mommy’s boy.)

  9. lowadobian says:

Hope we were all listening closely. Rubio spoke of a (trillion dollar) expansion of welfare, pulling the Democrat “Your money is for our children!” and a full amnesty program. Like Jeb. Fiorina is not going to talk to Russia (like some pissed off female?) and will foolishly start WWIII. The hawks have bought the same liberal media bias about “big, scary, Russia” that the Obama wing wants to peddle. For those of us who are old enough – remember when Nixon opened dialogue with Breshnev and later Reagan & Gorbachov? The world got better, not worse. Like him or not, Trump had it best about Russia & Putin: “They want to bomb ISIS in Syria into the ground? Great! Fantastic!” The whole evil empire thing is a bunch of crap. The issue behind the issue is we can’t seem to have any industry except war machines and Angry Birds. Russia, China, Brazil and India (BRIC) want off the dollar as the mandatory global exchange currency. Have you heard of BRIC in the American media? Of course not. That is the demise America can’t survive. So all the other nonsense is the same as a nasty divorce. And we’re the nasty spouse making up crap. Read foreign papers to get at least a view of what is never covered here. Putin has a 96% approval rating for a reason. He is brilliant and realistic. He knows he has as many problems as any country in the new economy. Rubio keeps calling him a “gangster” which tells me how much he absolutely doesn’t know. Do gangsters have roundtables with all of the religious leaders in their country yearly? Do gangsters bring in representatives of every major news outlet and have a 3 hour open question session around a table where the leader can actually speak specifically and cogently about their economy and challenges? It’s not Stalin any more and it hasn’t been for a long, long time. To stay there is to remain dangerously unaware (thanks media!) of what is actually going on in the world. And when you don’t know what’s going on? You’re going down.
P.S. Fox is almost as bad as MSNBC & the NYT these days.
