Dr. Kelli Ward & Prof. David Brat: Upsets can happen

Bucking the establishment: The new political reality

U.S. Rep. David Brat was never supposed to be serving in Congress. But he is. In what appeared an unlikely Goliath vs. David race, the conservative college economics professor took on the disconnected and arrogant RINO House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. Yet despite Cantor’s 26-to-1 cash advantage, as Politico reports, Brat beat him in a historic GOP primary upset. Brat’s decisive intra-party victory over Cantor made him the first primary challenger to oust a sitting House Majority Leader since the position’s creation in 1899.

Here in Arizona, conservatives are sensing a similar scenario. Dr. Kelli Ward, an emergency room physician and two term state senator, is gaining steam in the 2016 U.S. Senate race.

Ward is the newly announced recipient of this enthusiastic endorsement from the Conservative Campaign Committee (CCC). Breitbart reports the group sent out an email urging PAC supporters to back Ward, a Lake Havasu City conservative, against John McCain.

Breitbart cites the list of grievances against the liberal McCain, and notes Sen. Ward’s first quarter fundraising, an achievement it states “that at least in recent history has only been outdone by Sen. Ted Cruz.

“The momentum is building for Conservative Republican Kelli Ward and with your help we can win this race! The most recent Gravis Marketing Survey shows Kelli Ward leading John McCain among Republican voters by a 9-point margin, 45% – 36%,” reads a portion of the CCC PAC message.

As a practicing physician, Dr. Ward understands the negative impact of Obamacare on America’s citizens and outlines a plan to repeal the costly and care-rationing monstrosity.  Remember Democrat Nancy Pelosi told us, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it — away from the fog of the controversy.”

As our Friday post we ran “McLosers featured at Mesa campaign rally,“ referencing the extreme measures Team McCain is taking in an effort to fill the house at his upcoming campaign event. They have resorted to announcing the “surprise special guest” — Mitt Romney — two weeks in advance of the actual program.

Visit the comment section to see two brief but stellar videos posted by SRAZ readers that flawlessly exemplify John McCain. SRAZ has an entire section “McStench” dedicated to Arizona’s pro-amnesty senior senator, who will be 80 by Election Day and is running for another 6-year term. He says he still has more to do.

After more than three decades of his colluding with the left, Arizona ‘s citizens who desire a truthful senator, not a self-proclaimed “maverick,” have already had all they can stomach.

Congressman David Brat proved there can be dragon slayers. Conservatives neither need nor want fire-snorting, long-in-the-tooth reconstituted 1960’s hippie radicals, which is what the left embraces with Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. .They are content to be lied to. We are on to McCain’s deception and are fed up. That’s why he was censured at the State GOP meeting and at county GOP meetings around the state.

It’s my fervent hope that Sen. Kelli Ward can give McCain the kick out the door that he so richly deserves. She needs help to get her message out. This otherwise excellent post gives the erroneous impression money doesn’t matter. In Brat’s case that was an anomaly since Cantor wasn’t paying attention. McCain will spend his millions giving himself a whitewash that will be bought by newcomers and voters who know nothing about him other than having familiarity with his name. If you want a change, send what you can to Kelli Ward. I have. I also talked her up around the Thanksgiving table and was surprised at the people who were unaware there was a challenger to the ancient McCain.

  2. Frankly Speaking says:

It’s hilarious that Mitt Romney is regarded as an inducement to bring people in to hear more lies from McCain. McCain couldn’t even remember Romney’s name when he tried to introduce him when Romney ran against Obama.

  3. Doc says:

OMG!!! mitt romney!!! WITH john mcTraitor!!! In MESA,AZ.!!! Just th’ THOUGHT OF IT makes me wanna’ RUN OUT TOWARDS MY CAR AND….

…stop & throw-up. Anybody voting for mcStain needs to be relieved of their driver’s license because they aren’t sentient enough to drive a motor vehicle.

Lord willing we’ll have Dr. Ward representing Arizona in 2017…& maybe jeffy mcFlake will make an off-color comment to her & she’ll slap th’ taste outta’ his lyin’ mouth…

  4. azgary says:

Dave Brat is for deporting illegals and signed the F.A.I.R. pledge:

TRUE immigration reformers all over the country were ecstatic to see how the issue of immigration played a key role in Virginia’s primary, where challenger Dave Brat upset House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Not only was immigration the pivotal issue in the campaign, all those who followed it know that Dave Brat signed the FAIR Congressional Task Force (FCTF) Questionnaire, while Eric Cantor refused.

Ward is much more aligned with our AZ “republican” politicians who are for amnesty but refuse to call their mass legalization amnesty.

    Do some checking.

comparing ward to Brat is inappropriate unless she comes out and says deport illegals. I hope she does, but i very much doubt she will.

    anything else is amnesty

    • Arizona Conservative Guy says:

You always skirt the specifics of exactly how the deportation would be enforced. Would buses arrive at the homes of illegals? How would the illegals be differentiated from legal Hispanics? Who would be doing the checking? What happened to their personal belongings? What if the “pick-up” arrives when some of the family members are at work or school? Would that necessitate sweeps in the predawn hours? What if the enforcers are met with armed resistance? Would that signal the need for bloody shootouts across America? Not all of the illegals are Mexican. Will there be flights to Honduras and Nicaragua? What about illegals from the Mideast and Asia?

Please answer. azgary. I don’t favor illegal alien hordes swooping into the USA any more than you do. I just want a realistic idea of how you think this deportation of approximately 35 million (NOT the 10 – 11 million the establishment has talked about for the past decade or longer while deceptively telling us many are self-deporting).

Donald Trump also talks big on deportation, but then says he’ll “bring the good ones back in.” Are you OK with that? How he will determine who’s “good” is never answered. He’s going to build a wall “with a door in it.” He’s also OK with the so-called Dreamers staying, telling us he has a “big heart.” Dreamers are also illegals.

In Arizona, only one single candidate, Chuck Wooten running for the House in AZ CD 02, is listed on the F.A.I.R. website as having taken the F.A.I.R. pledge. I’ve never heard of him. He has no website.

    • Arizona Conservative Guy says:

“The way every other law is enforced. do you think there is a difference?”

You bet I do. Those were the operational orders of Hitler’s SS troops. Please cite the US “laws” that allow for millions of people to be taken from their homes and sent to countries around the globe without due process. Who pays for this roundup and mass deportation? What happens to those who refuse to get into the bed of your pickup to be driven to the railroad station, airport or greyhound bus depot? Who underwrites the gas, food, damage to conveyances or inflicted on the drivers or pilots?

As I said before, I am firmly against the illegal invasion and any type of amnesty. I am also interested in your answers to the questions I’ve posed. I think you have none.

    • Anthem Al says:

Chuck Wooten ran in 2014 and carried only 22.9 percent of the vote to Martha McSally’s nearly 70 percent. The F.A.I.R. pledge didn’t help him.

  5. SuzanneC says:

And the same bunch are spoiling the election, Van whatever and now Alex whatever. McCain will walk right back in office. Van the perennial candidate is just an ego maniac, and the same bunch Jim O’Connor and Lynn Breyer are trying to get a foot hold in politics, they must have been turned down by Kelli Ward for some perceived crazy request so they are spoiling Kelli Ward’s run against McCain. Why don’t these people realize we had someone making lots of headway and the Maricopa people did not like it. THIS IS WHY THE CONSERVATIVES LOSE MANY ELECTIONS.

  6. Conservative Since Birth says:

Kelli Ward is expected to be interviewed shortly on “A Call to Rights” with Steve Cates – 1100 am on the radio dial.

    • Conservative Since Birth says:

Dr. Ward was on the show, albeit for a short amount of time. She stated clearly her views on the Second Amendment (she was on a gun rights show) – she’s as strong as you can get, as opposed to McCain. Somebody mentioned others also running and gave the example of the despicable, unpopular in S.C., Lindsey Graham won with 31% of the vote because there were so many also running. Sounds like the McCain way of doing things. She needs money and more exposure, which she’s willing to do, and people to vote for her in the primary.

  7. LEO IN TSN says:

There may be numbers of independent-thinking Mormons, educated in the political intrigue, who can’t stand and would never support a McRomney-endorsed cadidate like McTraitor. But, given history, this is a smart move by the McTraitor campaign. There is still a huge community of LDS Zombies who take their voting orders from the church heirarchy. They probably have no idea that McRomney, still warmly embraced by the LDS decision makers, is pro-abortion, pro-AMNESTY, pro-obamaocare and pro-QueerNation. They may have no idea that McTraitor is a terrible threat to America. They will just march with their voting orders into the voting booth. This is why we are now battling the efforts of the likes of McTraitor & Jeffie “Blond Boy” McSnake in DC, and Lewis & Worsley in Phoenix.

I surely hope that the independent thinkers will work to challenge LDS voting orders, and will strive to communicate the truth throughout their community. We desperately need to awaken large numbers of the Zombies from their induced hypnotic stupor, and bring them back to intelligent, patriotic, independent-thinking life. And the same applies to the non-LDS low-information name-recognition “R” primary voters who don’t have a clue. It’s time to get past the “war hero” tales. And this means getting out and working/talking for Sen. Dr. Kelli Ward.

    God bless America.

    • Dennis O'Brien says:

Catholics are no different, LEO. The pope is a committed Communist but the sheep in his flock continue to follow and donate. That’s what it’s all about. He is on the same radical Saul Alinsky page with Barack Obama on Marxist redistribution of wealth. He believes in climate change (caused by the wealth producing nations, ie America) and open borders. He’s even given the nod to the homosexual agenda, saying “who am i to judge?” The day I came to the realization that most organized religion was conceived to keep the predominantly uneducated giving money and bending a knee to the church hierarchy, it was like I’d eaten the proverbial fruit of the tree of knowledge. I continued attending church for a couple of more years, hoping I would find a reason to clear my head of the growing doubts. Just the opposite happened.

Why do you think the pope’s trip to the USA rated so much air time on the networks? He speaks the language of the left! They were thrilled to cover him.
