WaPo pulls vile toon depicting Cruz’ daughters as monkeys

Desperation of liberal media

A knuckle dragging cartoon appearing in the left-wing Washington Post, has been removed for its overt display of bad taste. It was replaced by this editor’s note from editorial page editor Fred Hiatt, saying that it had generally been the newspaper’s policy “to leave children out of it.”

“I failed to look at this cartoon before it was published,” he wrote. “I understand why Ann thought an exception to the policy was warranted in this case, but I do not agree.”

Ann Telnaes, the recipient of Planned Parenthood’s 2002 Maggie Award for Media Excellence, for her “editorial cartoons in support of reproductive rights,” depicted pro-life Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz in a Santa suit with an organ-grinder and his young daughters Catherine, 4, and Caroline, 7, as dancing monkeys on leashes. In defending her indefensible actions, she had referred to the Cruz children as “fair game.”

Telnaes’ award is named in honor of Margaret Sanger, the racist, eugenicist and founder of the nation’s largest abortion chain.

Sen. Ted Cruz, who is surging in the recent polls, is the liberal media’s worst nightmare.

Denouncing the tasteless attack Cruz wrote in an email sent late Tuesday, “My daughters are not “FAIR GAME.” I’m sickened … I knew I’d be facing attacks from day one of my campaign, but I never expected anything like this.”

The unwarranted attack is in response to this spoof ad which aired in Iowa on the night of the recent Democrat debate, playing during Saturday Night Live.

The Washington Post despises Ted Cruz. The newspaper even thinks its relevant to point out that his full name is Rafael Edward Cruz. This article on presidential candidate’s and president’s names is interesting since not only are first names not used or replaced by nicknames, but so are last names. Bill Clinton’s last name was Blythe until he changed it as a teenager. We actually had a president who was born Leslie Lynch King.

The spoof ad mentioned above is pathetic.

Obama’s daughters are “fair game” as he used them as political props during the DNC convention.

Never forget how the mainstream media mocked Trig Palin and Romney’s black grandchild. Never saw an apology.

Hillary received the “Margaret Sanger Award” in 2014, a woman she so admired. Saw a cartoon depicting Hillary with leashes to two “dogs” – each dog said “New York Times” and “Washington Post” put out by Ted Cruz. Classy comeback.

Can you imagine the firestorm that would overtake this country if the Obama daughters were regarded as “fair game” and depicted as monkeys? It would be a racist slur and be the impetus for setting cities on fire and looting.

The left will do whatever it takes to gut the viability of conservative Ted Cruz. The readers of the Washington Post likely agree that this was an appropriate cartoon since most of them are hoping for Rubio as the GOP nominee. He is actually palatable to the Democrats I speak with.

Rush Limbaugh is quoted saying this about Ted Cruz:
“We stopped the Gang of Eight bill. Ted Cruz led the fight against the establishment. We would be living under amnesty right now if Cruz had not succeeded.”

This is Ted Cruz’ plan to secure the border, which I found on his website.

Marco Rubio was a major player in pushing the McCain-Schumer led amnesty bill, as were Republicrats Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham, who also joined with liberals. Rubio is an open borders and amnesty huckster, who should never be confused as being conservative. Though they are now adversaries, he was mentored by Jeb.

Mark Stein, sitting in for Rush Limbaugh today, said that McCain and Romney are in cahoots to back Rubio in New Hampshire and block Trump from possibly winning. McCain is a mischief-maker of the worst kind. He detests Ted Cruz. Romney is becoming tiresome with his meddling. He comes off as Mr. Milquetoast but behind the scenes – watch out. He has a home in New Hampshire and connections. To me, Rubio is a Democrat in GOP clothing….not unlike McCain and Romney.

      • Former GOP PC says:

Glad to hear this expose of the McRINO colluders by Mark Steyn. He along with conservatives Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh are among the few trustworthy political pundits these days. Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt are in the tank for Rubio, after previously supporting Jeb Bush. Now that Jeb is in the toilet, his protégé Rubio is their last great hope. Rubio was fundamental to the amnesty Gang of 8 deceit and now he’s trying to distance himself from his participation.

My wife and I were among the casualties of McCain’s rage after his embarrassing censure. Not only were we replaced by McRINOs, but those who replaced us never bothered showing up to district meetings. We were ousted after working our tails off for the GOP for years.
