McCain, pimping for Rubio, tries to disqualify Cruz

A frazzled John McCain is having trouble grasping reality.  Nothing new there. Without someone whispering in his ear, he often doesn’t know friends from foes.

The new political reality, which McCain is loath to accept is that Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are making wavesbig ones — on the GOP presidential primary landscape. The change of tide finds the political futures of establishment candidates Jeb Bush sagging and Marco Rubio lagging.

Both men, like McCain, are supporters of amnesty for illegal aliens.  Bush actually referred to those invading our country as exhibiting “an act of love,” saying the issue “shouldn’t rile people up.” Rubio eagerly hopped on McCain’s failed ‘Gang of Eight’ amnesty bandwagon, colluding with Chuck Schumer and a faction of other liberals and Republicrats to push this problematic venture.

On Wednesday, McCain appeared on local KFYI radio’s Chris Merrill Show questioning Sen. Ted Cruz’ eligibility to run for the U.S. Presidency, saying, “I think there is a question. I am not a constitutional scholar on that, but I think it’s worth looking into. I don’t think it’s illegitimate to look into it.” The “it” stems from the fact that Cruz was born in Alberta, Canada, to an American mother and Cuban father.

Cruz, a Harvard Law School honors graduate who served as Texas’ Solicitor General, has responded that it is “settled law” that a child born to a U.S. citizen, even if they are abroad at the time, is a “natural born citizen,” as required by the U.S. Constitution.

This is old news as McCain should well know. McCain, who was born in Panama in 1936, dealt with this issue during his 2008 presidential campaign. Barry Goldwater, who sought the presidency in 1964 was born in 1909 in the Arizona Territory, three years prior to statehood. George Romney, Mitt‘s father, faced these same questions when he ran for president in 1968 since he was born to American parents living in Mexico. None of them were disqualified.

Ted Cruz has previously been denounced and called names by John McCain for staying true to his conservative principles — something McCain is incapable of comprehending.

“There are few Republicans who have betrayed our conservative principles more than John McCain,” is how Senate Conservatives Fund describes John McCain on a page titled, Replace John McCain. Dr. Kelli Ward, a physician and two-term state senator, offers the intelligent alternative.

Now is the time to take action to ensure this much-needed change. U.S. Senate terms are six long years.

Ted Cruz can’t be hurt by the likes of the doddering John McCain. Cruz is acknowledged as brilliant even by those who disagree with his conservative views. “Off the charts brilliant,” is what liberal Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz said of his former student, adding, “I don’t agree with his politics.”

  2. State Delegate says:

The important thing for us all to remember is that McCain’s allegiance is to the invaders, not American citizens. In 2014, he vowed to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce: “I will never ever, while I’m alive and breathing as U.S. Senator, stop working to pass immigration reform.”

He also pledged, “When immigration reform passes I will make sure it is forever called the Edward M. Kennedy immigration bill”

Lets not give him the chance! Vote this decrepit liberal out. This is our year.

I don’t remember McCain questioning Obama’s eligibility. If anything, he protected Obama while he “ran” against him in 2008.

With the résumé McCain has, he should be shining Ted Cruz’s shoes, not undermining him. Does he not understand how dumb it looks for him to even touch this issue.

Kelli Ward was on the Laura Ingraham show this morning. Laura is behind her. She said if there’s a Trump or Cruz wave – many in the Senate could lose their seats. Glad to see Kelli Ward on the radio shows. The more exposure she gets, the better for her. She’s up against a nasty, lowdown evil person. He’s the male Hillary – he’ll do anything and everything to stay in power.

You’re so right! McCain did all he could to protect Obama even as he was supposedly his opponent. McCain even put Barack Obama’s middle name “Hussein” off limits, saying the use of it was inflammatory. Obama obviously disagreed since he used it in both of his inaugurals.

AZ is doubly “blessed” with turncoat senators. Jeff the Flake has long shared McCain’s amnesty position. When he was in the US House, he continually partnered with far leftist Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez to push this monstrosity, which negatively impacts Americans jobs and rewards people for breaking into our country. I wonder if these RINOs would be so cavalier if it was their own personal homes that invaders broke into and made themselves comfortable in, sleeping in their beds, eating their food, switching the TV channels to Spanish language Univison, wearing their fancy duds?

Speaker Paul Ryan claimed that amnesty legislation is “inevitable,” and Vice President Joe Biden, actually is quoted as telling the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that he believes illegal immigrants were “already American citizens.” Nutcase California Gov. Jerry Brown holds the same view.

Where are leaders who put America and Americans first? Wished I had heard Kelli Ward’s interview with Laura Ingraham. I’ll check and see see if it’s archived. Thanks for the tip.

We all must remember who McCain has sought out. He took money ($553,000)from Licavoli-Bronfman Mafia associate, Kemper Marley, and befriended stolen valor fraud Tully to win 32% of the vote in his 1982 run for Congress.
John McCain also admired Ted Kennedy while Kennedy recalled McCain’s Keating corruption. So the ethics of Charlie Keating met those of Chappaquiddick, and John McCain helped Ted Kennedy, Carl Levin, Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer give Amnesty to illegals, open our borders and radically change American culture.
In 1965 Kennedy pushed Hart Seller, a bad Immigration law, and spent 40 years adding to his mistake.
After 2001 John McCain co-sponsored 3 “Dream Acts” (conditional Amnesties for resident Illegals).
In 2005 McCain-Kennedy opened borders, expanded immigration and all visas and offered Amnesty (where many illegal immigrants in the US could stay here permanently by paying a non-specific fine.) In 2008 John McCain craved more power (but polls said most Americans wanted US borders closed).
So McCain ran for President against his own McCain-Kennedy and Dream Acts, saying, “American people want the border secured first” His cynical Presidential platform even said, “We oppose Amnesty.” McCain lost and quickly changed his “beliefs”…again – leading the Gang of Eight for Immigration Amnesty.
In 2013 McCain’s Gang of eight followed Teddy Kennedy by offering Amnesty to 18 million illegals, inciting more illegal immigration and adding 15 million more green cards (permanent visas). (1) (2) (3) (4)
McCain’s Immigration/Amnesty Bills became law while 9/11 was still fresh in American history.
Kennedy, McCain and many Liberals live in cocoons of wealth and never see Illegals, except in the news when 9-11 or Boston explosions violate some immigrant’s “visa status”. But Americans lose millions of jobs and too often are killed by illegal immigrants like Mohammed Atta and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. (2)
Why does John McCain want to diminish the United States of America? The US was founded with a unique Constitution codifying liberty and freedom based on our Judeo-Christian, Capitalist culture.
McCain knows failed countries produce millions of immigrants with vastly different culturesthan ours. He doesn’t care about the US!
If we cannot protect our borders, our culture or our laws, the US will be destroyed. I’m an ex-cop, Investigator, author of 3 books on betrayal, murder and politics (on Amazon). Check my facts and spread the word Bill Heuisler – 520-403-2939

…mcTraitor…idiot…Idiot…IDIOT!!!!! All above are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! This sham of a ?senator? PROTECTED obastard during the 2007/08 Presidential campaign. I personally believe with all my heart that this moron liar THREW the race!! Here’s a little more on our ?senator? questioning Senator Cruz’s Presidential eligibility:

Mark Levin, the great Constitutional scholar and radio talk show host, has stated that this is a non-issue as far as the law is concerned.

By the way, today marks the five year anniversary of the shooting in Tucson that took several innocent lives and injured Gabby Giffords.
She and her space cadet are proud supporters of Obama.

here’s a story, with photos of the happy couple standing in adoration of Obama:

Drudge Report leads with these alarming articles:
    94,103,000 Not in Labor Force…

17% of jobs now held by immigrant workers…

Americans are responding to Donald Trump for these very reasons. He says he’ll “Make America Great Again,” and we desperately want to believe him. I’m just concerned about that “door” he wants to put in the fence “to let the good ones (illegal invaders) back in.”

I agree with you. Chaffetz, along with Trey Gowdy, two touted as conservatives when they first arrived on the scene show their true colors getting behind a candidate who leaves a lot to be desired as a presidential candidate. They’re coming out of the woodwork to support the establishment pick. They don’t want Trump or Cruz.
