Ryan: The answer to GOP establishment‘s death wish

Following Marco Rubio’s humiliating loss to Donald Trump in his home state of Florida Tuesday, Rubio suspended his presidential campaign. Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s death watch campaign was briefly revitalized in Ohio, but has zero chance of being removed from life support. Watching him mulishly dig in his heels in order to keep this from being a Donald Trump / Ted Cruz primary borders on obscene.

From stage left, exactly on cue enters Paul Ryan, another RINO sprung from the same political gene pool as Bob Dole (1996 – losing to Bill Clinton), John McCain (2008 – losing to Barack Obama) and Mitt Romney (2012 – losing to Barack Obama). Ryan  is now equivocating on whether he’d accept the nomination if Republicans are faced with a brokered convention in Cleveland this summer. That’s been the Establishment’s plan since it became evident presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is not beholden to them, could wrest control from the elites and place it in the hands of the people. The GOP power bloc doesn’t like independent minded conservative Texas Sen. Ted Cruz any better.

From the catbird’s seat, creating havoc appears to have been the Republican syndicate’s scheme from the moment it was apparent Trump might be unstoppable. Ryan at a Glance, a brief overview, should be at the top of conservative’s reading list today.

Failed presidential contender Mitt Romney’s disappointing running mate, now House Speaker Paul Ryan, is keeping his options open

“You know, I haven’t given any thought to this stuff,” Ryan fudged Tuesday night. “People say, ‘What about the contested convention?’ I say, well, there are a lot of people running for president. We’ll see. Who knows?”

“Who knows?”

Boehner backs Paul Ryan for president – POLITICO

    From the article:

“In the same question-and-answer session here, Boehner referred to Ted Cruz as “lucifer.” He previously called the Texas senator, who led the failed Republican effort to shut down the government over Obamacare, a “jackass.””

Poor ol Boehner – spouting off again. He spends his time in OH, DC and FL where he owns an $835,000 condo on the golf course. Where does a bar owner’s son come up with that kind of life having been in government forever. I answered my own question.

  2. East Valley Conservative says:

Newsmax outed Paul Ryan in Dec. 2015.

Originally promoted as a numbers cruncher extraordinaire, Paul Ryan immediately caved on the nearly $2 Trillion budget deal giving in to Obama’s demands.

Rebukes were swift. Ann Coulter said he is ready for a challenge in the primaries.
Breitbart.com proclaimed that “Paul Ryan Betrays America.”
Laura Ingraham called Paul Ryan an “declared enemy of the Base,” and Mark Levin deemed him “already a disaster,” noting a provision in the budget package to increase visas for foreign workers.
Rush Limbaugh said the GOP has sold the country “down the river,” with the funding bill.

  3. Fed Up says:

Imagine that this consummate political insider was actually promoted as a conservative. Why do we continually allow ourselves to be duped? Was there a voice raised against Ryan in the AZ GOP congressional delegation? I sure missed it if there was. Does anyone remember?

  4. Frankly Speaking says:

Here we are told point blank that we the voting citizens of the United States don’t matter to the establishment!! I want to hear a response to this from the AZ 5 GOP congressional delegation. I’m way past accepting the silent treatment on issues that matter from them all. Speak up Martha McSally, Paul Gosar, Matt Salmon, David Schweikert and Trent Franks. If you can’t represent us, you should get another job.

    • Doc says:

…this guy needs his eyes DOTTED & his TEETH CROSSED! Arrogant P.O.S.! I heard Rinse (acknowledged mis-spelling on purpose) yesterday say that this clown was from N.D., & they don’t have Dedicated (wrong word but you get my meaning) Delegates in N.D., so “technically” he’s correct. HOWEVER, this guy is on the RNC Rules Committee. So, his arrogance applies to ALL of us regarding the Convention.

…honestly, my “being civilized” button is just about broken. These idiots will never change…unless of course, they’re shown the error of their ways & frankly, being “civilized” just doesn’t seem to be working.

  5. Hunter says:

The answer is Ryan, but what is the question? Good point! Your question (How do you destroy the GOP establishment?) is the right one.

It would be revealing and probably entertaining to have a GOP Jeopardy game to have the answers pop up and get participants to provide the questions. If all GOP candidates running in primaries had to play and have their answers published, voters would be better informed.

    • Ajo Joe says:

The candidate “Jeopardy ” game is an intriguing idea. It would need a less liberal host than Alex Trebek, however. His debonair persona hides the fact that he’s an Obama supporter and dedicated leftist. If you watch the show regularly you’ll notice how often Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly are featured, along with treating climate change as gospel. I’d like Ann Coulter, Mark Levin or Rush Limbaugh to host.

  6. Kathy says:

Flake to meet with Obama’s supreme court nominee – typical, RINO’s will cave as usual!!!!! Don’t believe McConnell’s lying lips – the Biden Rule will stand.

    • Conservative Since Birth says:

Kelly Ayotte is a John McCain acolyte. He glommed onto her as soon as she won the senate seat in NH. Same method as with Rubio. She;s now fighting to keep her seat and possibly lose to a Democrat. McCain’s troops will meet with the nominee – he can’t make it this year – he’s up for reelection, yet again.

  7. Saguaro Sam says:

    And the Death Wish continues:
Jeff Flake, Kelly Ayotte and Susan Collins agree to meet with Obama’s SCOTUS pick, who is a HUGE Gun Control wimp weasel.

McCain’s groupies dancing to his tune, yet again.

    • CD 8 PC says:

Arizona conservatives should learn from past experience with McCain, and not fracture their votes among the numerous McCain abetting deceivers. Only Dr. Kelli Ward is the real deal. She’s a two term state senator who knows the process. As a physician, she is ideally suited to be on board addressing the horrendous nightmare of Obamacare. We have a clear choice with no room for mistakes.

  8. Conservative Since Birth says:

Schumer: GOP Will Crack, Have Hearings and Vote on Obama’s Supreme Court Pick – Breitbart

Goodbye Second Amendment, good bye Constitution, farewell to the Rule of Law if McConnell gives in. Republicans are already “cracking” including our very own Jeff Flake.

    It Was Barzini All Along

There has been much talk of a brokered convention these days, as the heads of the various factions that make up the crime syndicate known as GOP Inc. hunker down in dim, yellow rooms to plot the destruction of the crass interloper Donald Trump.

This brokered convention stuff is real, folks, and Ryan is likely the guy waiting in the wings. Moreover, Ryan is not just a puppet; he’s one of the guys devising and implementing the strategy. These Mafiosi don’t like outsiders invading their turf, and they will stop at nothing to cap Trump in a bottle and send him out with the Japanese current.
