Time to inoculate against dreaded Reince Priebus disease

Although the bombastic Donald Trump has run headlong into a political block wall several times recently, this high-handed move by Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus is equally concerning. When you have a name that sounds like a mysterious contagion, it could well have a lifelong deleterious effect.

Following a Thursday meeting with Donald Trump and his advisers, Priebus made it known that he does not plan to let the Trump campaign take over the party apparatus if Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination in Cleveland this July.

This is in direct contraction to longstanding precedent and Priebus’ own words on the RNC website:

“Conventions are democracy in action and our Party’s gathering in Cleveland will be an exciting, transparent, and fair process.”

Priebus is either following Establishment dictates or irrationally thinks he’s been knighted supreme ruler — although as the former RNC general counsel, he should know better. Either way, he needs to hear from us: (202) 863-8500.

For a time after attending Trump’s first rally in Phoenix I considered joining his campaign….before coming to my senses. Though not a Trump supporter, I find the tactics of Priebus reprehensible. Whoever wins the Republican nomination should have the full support of the RNC. Thanks for including the phone number. I intend to call Monday morning.

Stephen Miller was a former long time staff member of Senator Jeff Sessions policy team. Miller joined the Trump campaign about a month ago.

  3. azgary says:

kasich is already mathematically eliminated, rafael cruz will be on or before 4/26.

the only reason he is staying in the race is because his masters at the uniparty and his owners like glodman sachs have told him to.

if there is a brokered convention, the nomination will go to a gope/uniparty favorite such as kasich, ryan, bush etc… giving the presidency to hillary or sanders and driving republican voters from the party permanently.

enjoy president hillary and the democrat controlled legislature and the permanent democrat control of everything nationally and soon statewide.

Breitbart has a fascinating article today, “Pro-Life Leader: ‘What Do You Believe, Mr. Trump? No One Knows.”
Breitbart obviously never met Trump clavoyant azgary.

Brokered Convention Talk-Walker Endorses Paul Ryan

“If it’s an open convention, it’s very likely [the nominee] would be someone who’s not currently running,” Ryan’s fellow Wisconsinite Governor Scott Walker said last week. Walker’s declaration follows an earlier pronouncement that he would be “just fine” with leaving his state’s Sanctuary Cities in place.

See this Cruz supporters? Your guy is the patsy for the RNC. He, along with Kasich, are only being backed now to stop Trump in order to install a donor friendly candidate at the convention. Cruz is too stupid to see this being set up, he is willingly going along with this nonsense, or thinks that he can suddenly force all the #NeverTrumps, in their alliance of convenience with Cruz, to vote for him at the convention on the second ballot.

rafael is only in this to throw the race to hillary.

the only good that will come of it is the republican branch of the uniparty will be destroyed, they have already been exposed for what they are.

      • azgary says:

much better article on breitbart today:
Concerns About Paul Ryan Emerging Out of Ted Cruz-Created Contested Convention as Nominee Dominate Wisconsin

Rafael cruz is ONLY in it to get hillary elected
so the gop keeps control with the uniparty staying in power

  4. azgary says:

crying about Priebus is kind of hypocritical when you love those who enable him like rafael cruz who enables him and does it for the same reasons and owners that preibus does, just like kasich.

priebus’s moves should make you happy.

It was a pleasure when you took a breather from your attempt to dominate this site with your multiple, snarky comments. Today it’s Rafael for Ted. Give it a rest. It’s obviously less work to troll SRAZ, but you need to start your own blog. Is that too tough for such a know it all as you, azgary?

      • azgary says:

If Cruz hangs on and doesn’t concede to Trump at the end of April, like Kasich is currently doing, Cruz comes across as unrealistic, out of touch and a sore loser.

April will be Cruz’s last hurrah. But on the bright side rafael will always be welcomed back home in Canada.

      • Maggie says:

Bravo!! My thoughts exactly. Azgary is a broken record who specializes in repetition and crassness. When I see a comment from him I ignore it. If you’ve read him once you’ve read him forever. I wish SRAZ would cut him off. He can’t engage in dialog, he must dominate over and over again. I’ll bet anything he’s single. Only a masochist could tolerate such a verbal batterer.

    • Realist says:

You didn’t answer my question about giving the rest of us a break and starting your own blog. I can guess the reason for your uncharacteristc silence. You know no one would read it, so you continue to try to make a successful blog your own.

      • azgary says:

if you dont like my posting comments, why dont you start a blog where you can block everybody who does not echo your opinions?

this is what priebus, graham, the gope, kasich and cruz are working towards.

    • Sgt. Preston says:

You’ve written more words than the post on which you’re commenting. That clearly shows that you don’t know boundaries.and points again to the fact that you are trying to turn this blog site into your own — something many of us resent.

      • azgary says:

        so comment more.
heres something to talk about, rafael cruz is joining forces to disenfranchise az voters with graham, the gop and the CoC

  6. Saguaro Sam says:

While most of us are watching politics, there is much going on in other arenas.

    Something that bears watching.
The leader of Turkey, Mr. Erdogan, has announced through his mouthpiece news media in his home country that he will be celebrating the opening of the new 100 million dollar mosque in Maryland “. . .sometime between April 2 and April 4. . .” while attending yet another summit in D.C.

The Turkish newspaper, controlled by Erdogan, wrote that the president of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama, will be joining Mr. Erdogan at the “celebration”. It was also noted that Maryland was chosen for this mega-mosque since Maryland was one of the original colonies and was named after Mary, the mother of Jesus—which is a false statement. .

    Also, an equally important:
Turkish president Erdogan has announced that he will be re-writing the Constitution of Turkey—and will then allow the citizens to vote on whether they like it or not. Yeah, right.
He has stated that he will rewrite the rules about lawful speech and redefine it in the his new Constitution.

Interestingly, Turkey has 4 political parties with one being made up of the Kurds. Erdogan has no love for the Kurdish people.

The rewriting of the Constitution of Turkey will enable Erdogan to get rid of anyone who is deemed to be speaking unlawfully.

Maybe Obama is studying at Erdogan’s knee this weekend.

Wow. How to rewrite a Constitution AND open a mega mosque all in one visit. Sounds like something Obama would love more than a round of golf.

Reince Priebus should have been gone after the loss to an unpopular, failed president in 2012. He and his minions engineered Mitt Romney to be the choice to go up against the Chicago thug and he’s free to do it again. God help us all.

Drudge has a big photo of Paul Ryan on his page this morning. If the establishment characters get him in the race, Paul Ryan will be the most hated man in America. Trump people will be upset and Cruz people will be furious. But it is what we might expect from the underhanded Priebus, Karl Rove, the retired, but all-in for Paul Ryan, John Boehner and the rest of the criminal GOP fraternity in D.C.

    • azgary says:

I dont know why cruz people will be furious, they know slick teddy has no chance, hes only still in it to block trump so goldman sachs and the Chambers of Commerce (aka cruz’s owner/operators) can get one of their hand picked puppets elected.

people need to wake up to the fact that rafael is up to his eyeballs in the establishment.

      hes just a poser.

GOP Establishment Still Refuses to Negotiate or Compromise With Donald Trump’s Voters – Breitbart

“It’s another reason to lay blame for this chaotic primary season squarely at the feet of the Republican Party hierarchy, which was blindsided by a populist surge it should have seen coming long ago, and should have absorbed instead of rejecting it. Alas, the Party bosses and GOP donor class were too busy smashing the Tea Party movement to learn anything from it.”

“The Establishment seems to have contingency plans for everything except listening to its base voters and addressing their needs.”

    • Casper says:

The voices of frustrated Americans gave rise to the tea party. Many–if not most–of those same folks are trumpeting Trump.

  9. Kimball says:

Reince Priebus doesn’t represent anyone but the fat cat donors whose agenda doesn’t comport with the average American worker who has, at best suffered job stagnation, and at worst, job loss. Many who lost their homes have not recovered. The devastation has been greater than the rosy uptick figures put out by the Obama administration. Frustration has turned to anger and that anger is moving Donald Trump forward. Priebus has his fingers in his ears because the Chamber of Commerce wants a continued flow of cheap (read: Illegal) labor. He and the party hierarchy are not going to kill the goose that lays their golden eggs. That makes Trump and Cruz both expendible.
