Trump just referred to Ted Cruz as “a brilliant guy with a great future.” That’s quite a different tune than he was singing while repeatedly and disgustingly calling him “Lyin’ Ted.”.

I have been a Cruz supporter and didn’t think the juvenile slurs were Trump’s finest moments, but I will support him as the Republican nominee. I now hope he beats Hillary and appoints conservative legal scholar Ted Cruz to the U.S. Supreme Court. Justice Scalia would be proud.

    • Hunter says:

Maybe Trump will ask Cruz to be his VP. At least there would then be one conservative on the ticket.

Anybody but Hillary. Trump’s speech was quite good tonight. The people are rising up…. What we’ve been promised has been nothing but lies. Trump might not be “perfect” – but isn’t that the song the RINOs have been singing – “there is no “perfect” candidate – well, here’s the non-perfect candidate. Suck it up!

Sadly, the media has conditioned the public to insist on nicey nice in politics. Truth is, no other platform requires fiesty battle more than the one that threatens personal liberty. Be nice in the boardroom and the soccer field, but please be ready to kick butt when it comes to public policy.

While Cruz and Kasich were smoking pot in their dormitories, Trump was publishing solutions to the American economy. Donald Trump is not my savior, but he’s the right man for such a time as this. I admire his willingness to speak up in controversy. Restricting your speech to what others want you to say is cowardice, not courage. For the next steps in this race, courage is the key.

Newt Gingrich: Trump Could Be ‘The Most Effective Anti-Left Leader in Our Lifetime’ (VIDEO)

First of all, Donald Trump may turn out to be the most effective anti-left leader in our lifetime. He is against political correctness. He is against bureaucracy. He places American nationalism first which I think we desperately need. I’m tired of being told we have to phony agreements and phony efforts and I watch John Kerry rush from five-star hotel to five-star hotel trying to get a phony peace agreement that is an absurdity… I think Trump could be a return to a more of an Eisenhower kind of realism that none-the-less is conservatism. And he may do more to dismantle the left than anybody in our lifetime… The other side is, if you’re not for Donald Trump, you’re effectively for Hillary Clinton.

    • Hunter says:

Not politically correct – except for transvestites using the restrooms of their “gender identity” rather than their sex. Conservative – except for supporting increasing ethanol mandates and subsidies to encourage burning our food to inefficiently run automobiles instead of eating it.

Trump is not quite as bad as McCain, but almost. If we’re lucky, he’ll only be like Nixon who set the Conservative movement back at least a dozen years. Yes, we got Reagan about 7 years later, but it took Reagan’s two terms plus part of Bush 41’s term to defeat the Soviet Union and we still have the EPA today.

      • azgary says:

Trump was THE ONLY conservative running.

Putting America and Americans first is as conservative as it gets.

Cruz is only the choice of radicals who wish to elect a preacher in chief and want a theocracy, and even there with cruz its a lie, one concocted to fool people. No better than a televangelist in this area

cruz is the goldman sachs candidate and hes been exposed as such.

Rafael Cruz is destroying his career by running for President

      • Hunter says:

Azgary, Trump’s new campaign finance director is a hedge fund manager who used to work for Goldman Sacks and also for an organization controlled by Soros. He has donated more money to Democrats than Republicans in Federal election campaigns.

        Look right here:

Trump also backtracked on not raising the minimum wage in a CNN interview after he was crowned as presumptive nominee. That’s not a conservative position.

Using a leftist with ties to Soros as a campaign finance director is also suspect. If Ted Cruz’s wife worked at Goldman Sacks, that proves Ted Cruz is an establishment guy and not a conservative according to Trump and you. But when Trump hires a former Goldman Sacks employee with ties to Soros to be his campaign finance director, it means Trump is the only solid conservative among the Republicans who were running for President – according to you.

You Trump supporters are fools. He conned you, and now he is well on his way to being another flavor of progressive – essentially a national socialist. That means we will have no conservative choice in the general election.

Congratulations on your victory. Enjoy it while you can still bask in your delusions about Trump.

Anti-Trump PACs vow to keep up the negative ads and to keep spreading lies.

Meanwhile, in Indiana, Heidi Cruz takes it on the chin, and on the forehead, and on the cheek. Holy cow, she’s gonna be remembering this night for awhile. RejecTED elbows her three times.

Newt Gingrich said it best: That Trump could be the best anti-Left leader of our lifetime.

There’s going to be a lot of people phoning their psychiatrists for prescriptions in the morning.

    Off Topic, but FYI:

McCain’s son goes on Twitter rant:

Grandson of Charles Keating killed in a “highly orchestrated” ISIS attack in Iraq. Reported to have been a US Navy SEAL.

Many of us having been wishing for a candidate who could stand and fight against a democrat. I think Trump just showed us how he fights and it is not pretty. He destroyed all the other republicans in the field and is now attempting to extend his hand to them. It is kind of nice to know our candidate can give better than he receives. As a former Cruz supporter, I look forward to seeing how the democrats react to his onslaught.l
