The robocall from Jon Kyl pushing a ‘yes’ vote clinched it for me!
Already voted NO! however. There are so many TV spots and signs at freeway exits and entrances urging a ‘yes’ vote – but I see very little in opposition. Very deceptive ads for it and if people don’t take the time to find out the details, it’s easy to be fooled – especially when you mention “teachers pay” and “taxes will not go up.” Neither is true. Vote no on 123 and 124.

Whenever the words “get more money into the classroom” are used, it actually means higher salaries for teachers. How many of the rest of us have jobs that give us the entire summer off, numerous half days for “training and development,” and holidays that no other employers offer? My kids are often off when my wife and I are at work. When you hear about low waged teachers, factor those components into the equation, and also be aware that the salaries we hear so often are based on those paid to recent grads who are new teachers.

The majority of teachers are union members and are not getting the short end of any stick. My neighbor and his wife are teachers and take summer cruises to Europe and own a lovely second home in Payson. We shouldn’t waste our time feeling sorry for teachers.

All valid points. You missed one vital one, however. The union teachers are overwhelmingly liberal and are propagandizing America’s youth on a daily basis. That’s the reason so many young voters are supporting self acknowledged Socialist Bernie Sanders. These kids disdain capitalism (which they don’t understand) and instead prefer the failed economic systems that brought down Russia and Cuba and are destroying European economies. The promise of free education appeals to them, without thinking who pays the professors, purchases the texts, pays the maintenance b and utility bills. In their foolish Utopia, “the evil rich” will pay for everything. No one has clued them in to the fact that the highest earners pay the highest taxes while many other people pay none. When was the last time a poor person gave you a job? Risk takers who work long hours to get their businesses up and running provide them.

This Forbes report provides a good explanation.

The AMP Calyspo Poll finds Nehlen leading Paul Ryan 48% – 41%

Paul Ryan is becoming more and more disliked throughout the nation, and in his own House district, with voters approving of his challenger by greater and greater margins according to the new poll released by AMP Calypso, showing Mr. Nehlen capturing a jaw dropping amount of support.

    • Braveheart says:

Let’s hope Paul Ryan and John McCain both go the way of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the RINO from Virginia who was kicked to the curb by fed up conservatives. Cantor outrageously outspent Professor David Brat who ran on a shoestring budget. But the people had had enough of the establishment elitism.

Mitt Romney created a mini-savior in Paul Ryan when he named him as his running mate, Ryan obviously believed the hype. So glad to see the people in his district don’t!

azgary – Great news about Paul Nehlen! I haven’t seen one poll yet on how he’s doing. Paul Ryan has been playing right into Nehlen’s hands by acting like a foolish rookie regarding Trump and people WILL NOT forget Obama’s Omnibus budget easily passed with Paul Ryan at the helm in his first act since becoming Speaker. Hopefully it’ll doom him.

Speaking of education, here’s how the black female cadets at West Point are feeling—-their feeling power to the black lives matter movement. Here’s their photo, wearing their military uniforms while standing in front of one of the military academy’s buildings:

Chances are, your tax money has paid the freight for these 16 females who look downright mean,.

Meanwhile, Obama gives the commencement address at Howard University, which is a predominantly black college.
He talked about the “unfairness” and the “injustice” that they still must address.
And he was gifted with an honorary doctorate degree in science.

Which means that Obama and Bill Nye are now equally qualified to lecture on climate change.
