Vicious AZ US Senate campaign ads: Follow the McMoney

You’ve likely seen the despicable televised ads attempting to link Dr. Kelli Ward, the sole conservative in the AZ U.S. Senate race, to Islamic terrorists and claiming she wants to leave our military vulnerable. This is contemptible since she is a military wife as well as a physician and former state senator. Her husband, Dr. Michael Ward is a Colonel in the Arizona National Guard where he serves as state flight surgeon. He has been deployed to global hot spots.

But facts can’t get in the way of the well-financed agenda when John McCain is running scared.

The ad’s tag line identifies Arizona Grassroots Action PAC as responsible for the content. Open Secrets/Center for Responsive Politics provides a link to even more, including the Federal Election Commission (FEC) 15-page report of the Alexandria, Virginia based PAC’s most recent filing, covering Jan. 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016 which can be seen here.

Gregory W. Wendt, the all too familiar San Francisco liberal who has bankrolled Barack Obama and other left-wing Democrats, is tucked in among the mostly out-of-state supporters of John S. McCain. Wendt and his wife Lisa have been longtime McCain benefactors — as has radical leftist billionaire George Soros who is not on this particular list, though he has funded McCain since 2001. Human Events lists 10 reasons Soros is dangerous, none of which concern John McCain.

D.C. based Lisa Lisker is listed as treasurer of the intentionally hazy, high-dollar group that misidentifies itself as “Republican/Conservative.” It spends the bulk of its well over a $ million “against Republicans” as shown in the Open Secrets graph titled Party Split by Cycle. — click on the header for the revealing graph.

Don’t allow yourself to be fooled. At 80, John McCain is running — scared — for another 6-year term. Although he uses bravado to target Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick in the General, it’s Primary challenger Kelli Ward he fears

Ward‘s solid message: “Send a fresh, new voice to the U.S. Senate — Let’s shake up Washington together, “ resonates with McCain weary Arizonans. Show these well-heeled tricksters Arizona Republicans can’t be bought by out-of-state McCain promoting liberals. .

  1. Former GOP PC says:

These connections to the left are what the so called “Maverick” has always been about. He has built alliances with Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and the racists at LaRaza to keep the border wide open. McCain partnered with Russ Feingold to curtail free speech. Russ Feingold was rewarded by being booted out of the Senate by the people of Wisconsin. He has also tried to shut down gun shows. McCain has managed to stay afloat like the one turd that won’t flush thanks to the uninformed public who know his name and not what he’s all about. I sense this election will be his Waterloo. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy. He is responsible for the fact that my wife and I were both ousted as PCs after decades of service to the AZ GOP. We were replaced by Vietnamese McCain enthusiasts who have never attended a District meeting.

  2. Saguaro Sam says:

I have seen the vicious ads, in black and white, calling Dr. Ward “Chemtrail Kelli”. The ad is paid for by “Friends of John McCain”.

I know that he has a crew—-but “friends”? It gives a new meaning to the word.

    By the way,
As the media and others mourn the death of draft dodger and a man who spoke in favor of the Viet Cong, please take a moment to remember this man. a real hero, who also died in Arizona this week:

Thomas E. Schaefer, a retired Air Force colonel who was the ranking military officer among the 52 Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days before being released in 1981, has died in Arizona. He was 85.

Schaefer was a military attache at the U.S. embassy in Tehran when militants seized the compound on Nov. 4, 1979, and 66 people were taken hostage.

From the first day of the takeover, Schaefer was singled out for special attention. As the ranking U.S. military officer in the embassy, he was accused of running a “nest of spies.”

His captors paraded him blindfolded in front of television cameras and threatened repeatedly to put him on trial and execute him.

He spent 150 days in solitary confinement and began his captivity enduring 14 days of relentless interrogation in a freezing prison cell with damp floors and only a thin blanket for warmth.

    • Frankly Speaking says:

Thanks for this information about a true hero and the comparison to Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. who is getting all the attention today. Not only was he a draft dodger who aided the Viet Cong, but he, like Lew Alcindor, Jr. (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) nursed such hatred for the whites who idolized them as sports heroes and made them wealthy beyond their dreams, that they foolishly took the names of Arab slave traders rather than keep white sounding names. Both men converted to Islam, the religion of the slavers. History was obviously not their strong suit.

  3. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

This video focuses on McCain’s rage and volital temper. It features military leaders, a former US Senator from Arizona, the former Executive Director of the Arizona Republican Party, Pat Buchanan, former Editor and Publisher of the Arizona Republic (when it was still a decent newspaper). Their comments reveal a great deal about this incredibly angry and mediocre man born with a silver spoon that afforded him privilege.

Quite a video! I hadn’t seen this one before. John McCain has been in Washington for decades and has done untold damage during his overly long tenure. It’s past time to show him the door. These ads of his are disgraceful and his funders are despicable. It’s obviously all about power, his and theirs. No one donates such large sums unless they have a vested interest and can benefit from their “generosity.”
