Legal lynching: The deliberate destruction of America’s Sheriff

Larry Klayman is a man not short on credentials. A former Justice Department prosecutor and the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, his legal expertise is impeccable.  For that reason, we are happy to bring you his WND commentary “ll Duce’ judge out to destroy Sheriff Joe,” as our Weekend Reading Guaranteed to Make You Smarter.

After reading this exposé, we ask that you send the link out to your email list.  It’s that important.

If this can happen to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a career lawman who worked for the feds within the DEA — ultimately heading the agency in Arizona, none of us are safe.

  1. Villanova says:

There were ample reasons for Judge Snow to recuse himself from this case, not the least of which was the news coverage of his wife’s conversation overheard in a restaurant. That alone should provide basis for appeal.

  2. MacBeth says:

The pro-amnesty for illegals Arizona Republic newspaper has engaged in a shameful and ongoing war against Joe Arpaio for years. Still he has prevailed and holds the distinction of serving as Maricopa County Sheriff longer than any previous sheriff in state history.. Despite the far left’s efforts against him he has outlasted many of the so-called reporters who have been dedicated to taking him down at the failing newspaper, now staying afloat with student reporters and a skeleton staff.

    • Truthseeker says:

Tim Casey, Arpaio’s former arttorney in the Melendres v. Arpaio hired a PI by the name of Don Vogel. After Vogel investigated the Grissom report about comments allegedly made by Snow’s wife, it was determined that the Grissom claims lacked substance and merit. Casey advised Arpaio not to go forward with the Grissom matter. At one point, Klayman was considered a possible witness in the Melendres case. Klayman also represents a Dennis L. Montgomery in another case. Montgomery is the individual that Sheriff Arpaio paid as a confidential informant and was at the center of the Seattle Operation conducted by Sheriff Arpaio, allegedly to discredit Judge Snow and his court as he presided over the Melendres v. Arpaio case. It is expected that Judge Snow will make criminal referrals against Sheriff Arpaio and some members of his command staff for intentional acts related to Sheriff Arpaio’s admission of being in civil contempt. Arpaio’s acts of defiance have resulted in a $50 million dollar expense for the tax payers of Maricopa county and as a result, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted to approve an increase in property taxes due to a budget shortfall. Maricopa County needs a new sheriff.

      • MacBeth says:

And you need a new playbook. You’re hardly a “truthseeker,” more like a regurgitater of liberal talking points put out by the slimy local newspaper. Joe Arpaio has been repeatedly elected and reelected because the people of Maricopa County support him.

  3. East Valley Conservative says:

Larry Klayman’s article is excellent. I recommend it to anyone seeking honest information. What we get relating to Sheriff Joe Arpaio is reliably skewed to the left and crafts this good man who has dedicated his life to public service, into a monster. The biased press does a bang up job of filling that role, not Sheriff Arpaio….who has done the job he was repeatedly elected to do for and by the citizens of Maricopa County. He will always have my vote!

    • Ajo Joe says:

Ditto! We also wholeheartedly support Sheriff Arpaio — with our votes AND donations, so he can run again while fighting the thugs who aim to take him out. We cancelled our subscription to the Arizona Republic a few years ago when it began the multi-pronged attacks on Maricopa County’s best ever Sheriff. I’m an Arizona native and have paid attention to politics my entire adult life.

  4. Sally Forth says:

Thank you. Mr. Klayman. This is the first piece I’ve read that presents the facts about the witch hunt being conducted against Sheriff Arpaio. He’s a hero and deserves far better than the maltreatment he’s getting in the agenda driven local media. Taking notice of the fact that the court system “has become politicized and corrupt,” is a point we’d rather not believe but know is increasing the case. Sadly, Judge Snow’s vendetta against Sheriff Arpaio clearly exemplifies that.

  5. LAURA L. says:

Sheriff Joe is the only Sheriff I know about (besides Sheriff Babeu) who actually enforces the laws! Every illegal alien has not only committed a “misdemeanor” for sneaking into our nation(which in Mexico it is a “felony” = serious crime involving years in prison,a huge fine and personally escorted out of their country) but they are actually ALL “FELONS” BECAUSE EACH AND EVERY ONE COMMITS “FRAUD” (A FELONY) by making the decision to buy and use either “phony documents” or “stolen Americans’ ID’s” (and wreck those Americans’ lives by doing so! Sheriff Joe actually not only charged them with illegally coming into our nation but also with “fraud” for buying & using fraudulent or stolen ID’s!
Also, this Judge is biased! and should have recused himself. His wife stated he had made the statement that he would make sure Sheriff Joe does NOT get re-elected (showing his bias right there! And Sheriff Joe had every right to investigate if this Judge actually said that as that would mean he has a biased Judge on his case which is NOT RIGHT AT ALL! This Judge should have stepped down from the case and allowed an impartial Judge to judge it! It is ridiculous that a Sheriff should be persecuted for following the law. If the majority of illegal aliens (they are “NOT” immigrants) sneaking over and breaking our laws are from Mexico and Central America, a Sheriff and any law enforcement should not be looking for people who look like Scandinavians but people who appear to be Mexican & Central American. Even if it is “profiling” – a L.E. officer MUST look for the person who meets the description of the criminal perpetrator and not look for someone who looks completely different! IT’S CALLED “COMMON SENSE”!!! A Judge has no right to tell a Sheriff NOT to enforce the law!

Can someone explain to me what is happening. Did the Ninth Circuit not already dismiss this case? I am not that familiar with these processes, but could have swore that it made the news that Arpaio’s case had been dismissed. Different case?

  7. Saguaro Sam says:

Being reported today that there is an exodus of older judges retiring from the federal bench. How convenient. Just in time for Obama to stack the deck further.

A lengthy story a few weeks ago told the story of a female who paid her way through Villanova University’s school of law in Pennsylvania entirely by acting as an escort for men. She graduated debt free, but what price will she pay down the road? She opens the door to the possibility of being blackmailed.
What happens when someone needs a favor? How much will she charge for that?

By the way, another reason to nail the borders shut:
The president of Turkey, a Muslim, is returning once again to the U.S., this time to attend Mohammad Ali’s funeral.

    • Attila The Hunny says:

I read more of the nonstop coverage of the death of Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr./ Muhammad Ali that he was viewed as a hero by American Muslims who thought of him as an emissary to their faith. Sorry, but I remember him as a draft dodger supporting the Viet Cong who referred to whites as “the devil.” He aligned with Louis Farrakhan and Elijah Mohammad of the racist Black Muslim movement. Clay/Ali became immensely wealthy because whites supported and revered him as a sports hero, though he despised them. Yet it was this “devil” who worked for equal rights and desegregation. He changed his name from a “white” one not realizing it was the Arabs (whose name he took) who were the slave traders in Africa.
