According to this time line report in the daily, Black Lives Matter protesters took to the streets in Phoenix — many with their young children in tow — “to teach them to stand up for themselves,” according to one parent. Their children were able to witness the defacing of American flags and objects thrown at Phoenix police.
Jarrett Maupin, II, once considered an Al Sharpton protégé, now sporting a shaved head and extra pounds, also refers to himself as Reverend, although like Sharpton, he has no church or congregation. His only flock consists of sheep-like, easily enticed rabble-rousers. One 60-year-old who showed up identified himself as a former member of the Brown Berets, a Chicano Nationalist group. He said he saw similarities between his movement and the protesters.’ “I believe there is a lot of police brutality and injustice,” he said. “People of color, or leftist Americans, they have a right to rebel.”
Seriously? They’ve had one of their own in the White House for 7½ years. What exactly are they rebelling against?
“We’re headed to 7th Street and then “to the interstate,” Maupin agitated. “Are you enjoying taking over the streets of your city?” he shouted. His intent to block I-10 was thwarted by Phoenix Police Chief Joe Yahner.
Maupin has had run-ins with the law as reported here (2008) and here (2009), and is, as we pointed out in 2012, a despicable racist himself. In 2013, SRAZ posted Council candidate Kate Gallego subject of incendiary race baiting,* in which we identified Gallego (who won the Phoenix City Council election and whose husband Ruben Gallego now represents CD 7 in congress) as being subjected to incendiary raced-based smears as a white woman running in a predominantly minority district.
Maupin referred to Kate Gallego as a “white sham candidate in brown face,” “an interloping political puppet, and a “power-hungry white…who is not openly campaigning as white.” Maupin also accused a Democrat councilman who endorsed her of “practicing the politics of racial exploitation and engaging in the attempted “political lynching” of Phoenix’ black community.
His contemptible words come right out of Sharpton’s playbook.
Following Jarrett Maupin anywhere for any reason is a fool’s errand and serves only to give this creep the prominence he so desires and which rightly remains unattainable.
* The Gallego’s are both Democrats. The article we posted regarding Kate Gallego was not an endorsement, but exposed the despicable race baiting practices of lowlife Maupin.
