Gov. Ducey endorses his first boss’s husband

Gov. Doug Ducey has endorsed eighty-year-old John McCain, who is running for his sixth six-year U.S. Senate term. If the very senior, left-leaning “maverick” is reelected and serves out the term, he’ll be staring 90 in the eye.

Can’t we do better than this, governor? (video)

Arizona’s governor was still a teenager living in Ohio when McCain first ran for congress in what was then Congressional District One in the East Valley.

Could it be that Ducey is repaying this lukewarm endorsement McCain gave him on Primary Election night 2014 as McCain claimed Democrat “Fred DuVal will be a very formidable candidate”? In fact DuVal trailed in all fifteen Arizona counties.

But the larger point is Ducey owes his former boss Cindy Hensley McCain. Although Ducey back-burners it, after moving to Arizona in the 1980’s to attend Arizona State University he worked for Cindy’s Anheuser-Busch beer distributorship during his college years.

Worthy of note is the fact that McCain rolled out the Ducey endorsement after Luis Gonzalez’. McCain is obviously going for the sports minded voter rather than the politically knowledgeable. He’s all too aware that those who are paying attention will be voting for proven conservative, Dr. Kelli Ward in the Republican Primary.

    no surprise at all.

Chuckled at the “grabber” headline! It caught my attention immediately. Also appreciate the excellent links in the post. Each one tells “the rest of the story,” as Paul Harvey was famous for saying.

I agree! That’s quite a video reveal of how incompetent and deceitful John McCain actually is. Wow! Double Wow!!

  3. Clair Van Steenwyk says:

The title should be Ducey Enddorses his Boss’s 6th Term

I appreciate the support this site gives to Dr. Kelli Ward. McCain is an octogenarian. Clair VanSteenwyk is a septuagenarian, who can neither spell nor rein in his colossal ego. (Endorse has a single “d”)

The few votes he will get will serve only to aid McCain, but he doesn’t care. It’s all about Clair (the boy named Sue).

It’s clear from this comment that he has not read the entire post but he doesn’t need facts to set him spewing. In that regard, he’d fit right in with the Pelosi libs. Remember she said congress needed to pass ObamaCare before they could see what was in it.

Kelli Ward, at 47 is intelligent, vibrant and a family practice physician who has what it takes to tackle the monstrosity of ObamaCare and bring a strong conservative vice to the US Senate. The choice is clear.

Knowledgable, schmaledgable….McCain sought out Luis Gonzalez in the hope of bringing in Hispanic voters. McCain’s endorsed Donald Trump, since he desperately needs to hang on to Republican primary voters, but he’s said he thinks Trump will be a negative for the down ballot candidates since he’s offended Mexicans by vowing to build a wall. I work with several Americans of Mexican heritage and not a single one of them is bothered by the idea of a wall. They are Americans first, just as I am.

  5. VINOAZ says:

The fix is in. If he wins, look for Ducey to appoint McShames’ daughter to fill the seat when he retires or assumes room temperature.

  6. William Heuisler says:

Ducey screwed up. He has now connected himself with the now deceased Scottsdale Godfather, Kemper Marley.
Remember, McCain won the 1982 Republican primary against 4 well-known Arizonans, with 32% of the vote, benefitting from bogus newspaper endorsements from a bogus war-hero named Duke Tully… and by extravagantly outspending all the other candidates with over a half million Hensley/Marley dollars – in a primary!
    Why Hensley/Marley dollars?
McCain’s new AZ father-in-law, Jim Hensley, MANAGED United Liquors (AZ’s only beer/liquor monopoly distributer since the 1940s). United Liquors was wholly owned by Kemper Marley, millionaire Scottsdale developer, owner-operator of Transamerica Wire Service and protégé of liquor Baron (Emprise co-founder) Sam Bronfman who issued the very unusual and lucrative state liquor monopoly. McCain’s main money-connection was mobbed-up Kemper Marley, through Marley’s long-time employee, Jim Hensley.
    Way to go, Governor.

I appreciate the back story. We’d never get these facts in the local press. Thanks for filling in the gaps.

Obama is Jimmy Carter, all over again.

Here’s the skinny on the Turkish cleric living in exile in the US since 1999.

Take a look, he lives Very Large in Pennsylvania:
