Establishment GOP targets conservative U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar

Truth takes a back seat when passing off RINOs as conservatives

It comes as a disappointment but not a surprise that Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar finds himself targeted for removal from office by the party elites, who are never inclined to back the  proven conservative when a malleable squish candidate is in the wings. Dr. Gosar, a dentist, was elected to Congress with no prior political experience but a burning desire to make a difference and challenge the D.C. status quo. He ably defeated Anne Kirkpatrick the incumbent liberal Democrat in his first election. His impressive list of ratings from conservative organizations follows his bio.

Roll Call exposes the shameful antics being used in an attempt to oust conservatives in general and Dr. Paul Gosar, in particular.

Politico reports that conservatives in the House say they are under siege.

“Absolutely, we’re being targeted, absolutely,” said Rep. Paul Gosar, a House Freedom Caucus member who’s seen a group called Right Way PAC drop $211,000 on negative radio ads and mailers (and promise more to come) ahead of his late-August primary. “Over and over again [this year], you see the same thing with them. Look, the Freedom Caucus hasn’t challenged anyone who’s a sitting member. We’ve only played in open seats, but isn’t that interesting that K Street and Wall Street are playing against members?

“This isn’t a game for this year, but a game for next year. This isn’t just a short game, this is a long game,” said Gosar, who’s still expected to win his primary

Richard Viguerie’s Conservative HQ titles it’s coverage of this establishment-led travesty, “Outing Ray Strauss, the Phony Conservative Running Against Rep. Paul Gosar in AZ-4.”  Regardless whether or not you live in CD 4 the information is crucial, since the anti-conservative tentacles could reach your district next.

Congressman Gosar has an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and is the NRA endorsed candidate in the race, yet in one radio ad aired by the deceptive Right Way PAC Ray Strauss is touted as the candidate “to protect the Second Amendment. Right Way PAC’s ads also hit Gosar for “voting to fund Obamacare” when, in fact, he supported the effort to defund the massive takeover of the nation’s health care delivery system on numerous occasions.

The House Freedom Caucus’ mission statement describes the group as “giving a voice to countless Americans who feel that Washington does not represent them. We support open, accountable and limited government, the Constitution and the rule of law, and policies that promote the liberty, safety and prosperity of all Americans.”

No wonder its members are targeted for defeat by well-financed, rampaging political insiders.

Seeing Red AZ supports proven conservative Dr. Paul Gosar.

  1. Frankly Speaking says:

Obviously state Republican chairman Robert Graham is aware of what’s going on. Why the silence? Is he in lockstep with those responsible tor this outrageous campaign to remove conservative Gosar? As a known McCain/Flake supporter, it’s clear where he stands. But Gosar’s in the House, not the Senate, and Gosar is the incumbent. The Arizona Republican Party is rudderless with Graham at the helm.

    • Doc says:

mcGraham knows fully well EXACTLY what’s going on. The fact that he isn’t wearing chrome bracelets & languishing in Sheriff Joe’s tent city says volumes about his connections with mcTraitor.

I’m in CD-4. Who’s this Ray Strauss guy? I’ve never heard of him. Dr. Gosar will be receiving my support & my vote. & someone else posted here that he ought to run against mcFlake in 2018. Hear Here!!

…if you’re pissin’ th’ elites off, you’re DOIN’ IT RIGHT!!!

  2. jakesez says:

Maybe Graham is using some of the money he collected from the convention attendees. No one seems to have an accounting of the expenditures of all the monies collected. Maybe he is spending it to attack conservatives.

  3. Conservative Since Birth says:

From the above posted by SRAZ: “Right Way PAC’s ads also hit Gosar for “voting to fund Obamacare” when, in fact, he supported the effort to defund the massive takeover of the nation’s health care delivery system on numerous occasions.”

These PACs – out there to take down anyone who won’t go along to get along by lying about the person is criminal. Paul Gosar sold his dental practice and got into politics on the issue of Obamacare. He wanted it gone. He also, as a Catholic, refused to go with his fellow politicians to listen to the Pope talk about climate change instead of abortion or the Islamic terrorists. I admired that. He said if the Pope talks like a politician, he’ll treat him like one.

My congressman is conservative, gets good grades, but never speaks out of turn. He doesn’t stand up for issues important to him or his constituents. I prefer a representative like Paul Gosar – who has turned out to be a good conservative who isn’t afraid to buck the crowd. That’s why he’s being targeted by Republicans In Name Only.

    • Dennis O'Brien says:

Gosar was absolutely right to boycott the pope’s political address to congress. His stated reason for doing so could only have been more effective if he called the pope out for being a redistributionist Marxist. I wish I was able to vote for Congressman Gosar. He’d have my support in a hot minute.

  4. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

The Politico article makes note of the fact that “donors unknown” were injecting half a million dollars into the effort to remove a conservative incumbent in rural Western Kansas. Either you support RINO party hack “leaders” like John Boehner or Mitch McConnell or you political life is taken from you. .

  5. Realist says:

Paul Gosar is clearly the most conservative AZ U.S. Rep. He is not on board with the illegal invasion and is an unapologetic Second Amendment supporter. Those are part of the reason why he’s being targeted. These are the others, which he proudly displays on his website:
    RATINGS

  6. Disgusted in Arizona says:

Maybe we could get him to run for Senate and oust Flakey McFlake in two years

  7. East Valley Conservative says:

I’ve seen the question posed here before, but I’ll give it another shot. Where are the rest of the Arizona Republican delegation on calling out what’s taking place? They all appear to be too frightened to speak out against McCain’s abhorrent tactics steeped in lies, the DC corruption, and the undue influence of lobbyists. Why aren’t they coming to Paul Gosar’s defense? Matt Salmon isn’t running again and can’t be harmed by McCain and Flake, but he stays silent as well. I’m beyond sickened by each and every one of the AZ delegation who sit on their thumbs and watch as conservative Gosar is being politically drawn and quartered. Shame on them all.

  8. CultureShocked says:

Rep Gosar is my rep in district 4. I have commended him more than once on his positions that I supported. So I find it interesting that even though I told him I was an avid supporter in those emails to him I have not once received an email asking for support in a monetary way. I would be glad to do so, just like I have with Ward, but I assumed that he did not need the money or was unopposed. I guess I will have to call his office tomorrow and make a pledge.
