Andy Biggs victorious in nail bitter AZ CD 5 race

If you’re ever tempted to think your single vote doesn’t matter, remember this 2016 5th Congressional District election, where former AZ Senate President Andy Biggs beat challenger Christine Jones by a mere 27 votes as the final votes were tabulated in the Republican primary election. Jones previously ran for Governor in 2004. Congressman Matt Salmon term limited himself, creating the vacancy.

Congratulations to conservative Biggs.

Since I don’t live in the district Andy Biggs has represented in the state legislature, I know little about him, so I just lifted his bio from his AZ Senate page. I think we’ve hit the jackpot! This is what it says:

Senator Andy Biggs is an Arizona native and has lived in Gilbert with his family since 1986. He is married to Cindy and they have six children.

Andy is a retired attorney. He is licensed to practice in Arizona, Washington, and New Mexico. The Senator has a bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from BYU and a J.D. degree from the University of Arizona. He earned a M.A. in Political Science from ASU and has done additional graduate work there.

Sen. Biggs served the old Legislative District 22 in the State House of Representatives for eight years before being elected to the State Senate in November of 2010. As a freshman in the Senate, he chaired the Appropriations committee and was the Vice-Chairman of the Government reform and Judiciary Committees. Andy also served on the Rules Committee. Later in his freshman term, Sen. Biggs was chosen by the Republican Caucus to be the Senate Majority Leader. In 2012, Sen. Biggs was re-elected to the Senate to represent Legislative District 12 and was chosen by his caucus to be the Senate President. In addition to his role as Senate President, Sen. Biggs chairs the Rules Committee.

Andy has earned the designation “Champion of the Taxpayer” from Americans for Prosperity for his cumulative service in the state legislature, has been honored numerous times by the Goldwater Institute as a “Friend of Liberty,” and has received the Guardian of Small Business Award from NFIB for his career-long championing of small business interests.

such a “pure” conservative and staunch republican, but no real surprise since he and hillary have the same owners. CoC and uniparty uber alles..

cruzlims overjoyed and chanting to the cruzlim sharia

Cruz: “If Something Happens To Hillary, I Agree To Run As A Democrat Against Trump”

“However, according to a source who attended the meeting, Cruz refused to endorse Trump and, instead, threw a bombshell that left most of the Republican attendees speechless: Ted Cruz plans to run against Donald Trump after all. Truth be told, he didn’t vow to do it, he merely suggested the possibility. And according to the source, the only way that would ever be possible is if it turns out the rumors are true and Hillary Clinton is prevented from running against Trump on account of her deteriorating health.

Asked to verify the allegations made by one of the attendees, who requested anonymity, Cruz initially seemed genuinely surprised, but later said, “I figured it would get out sooner or later. Might as well be sooner.” “It’s true,” the Texas Republican senator revealed, “I did make that proposition. And I made it for one simple reason – there is no way I am giving up on stopping Donald Trump from running this great country into the ground. And if I have to switch over to the Democrats to do it, then so be it.””

Please rick perry run against this charlatan and get him out of politics permanently

You better do a fact check on that false flag put out that Cruz would run against Hi liary even the liberal Snopes states it is false so give it up. Trump won, Cruz lost and lets just beat her and not feed the division by stirring the pot.

    • East Valley Conservative says:

azgary: What does Ted Cruz have to do with AZ senate president Andy Biggs who just won the US House Republican primary in CD5? Biggs IS a conservative. His record speaks for itself. It sounds as though you were out celebrating the baseball teams that refuse to stand for the national anthem and had a few too many pulls on the bottle last night.

      • azgary says:

what does rafael cruz being a fake conservative and carpetbagger like christine jones and me pointing it out have to do with baseball and traitors?

        Et tu brute

  3. azgary says:

better biggs than jones, but she will be running for something else once another election comes up, she seems to just be a well financed VanSteenwyk.

i suppose i would vote for her vs flake, but thats about it.

  4. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

All Arizonans, regardless of their district, have been fortunate to have had the able leadership of Andy Biggs as state senate president. We will be even more so to have him in Congress. azgary is clearly off his meds.
