Judge vindicates Sheriff Arpaio’s workplace raids, upholds law

The powerful impact of the vindication of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was buried amid the flurry surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday, as football, recipes for turkey stuffing, and which newly released movie is least dreadful took center stage. But make no mistake.  This. Is. Big.

In his recent ruling U.S. District Court Judge David Campbell said the laws used to back Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s workplace raids will remain on the books, capping off a two-year lawsuit filed by  leftwing Hispanic advocacy groups that claimed Arizona’s identity-theft statutes targeted illegal alien workers.

Judge Campbell appears to have reversed his Jan. 5. 2015 issuance of a  preliminary injunction prohibiting Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery from enforcing state law that make it a felony for illegal aliens to use stolen identities to obtain work. This is Arizona’s Proposition 200, passed overwhelmingly — 55.6 to 44.4 — by Arizona voters in 2004, and which became law.

In the newspaper account, the illegals are repeatedly referred to as “immigrants” as though they arrived in the U.S. via the legal route to become American citizens. Judge Campbell, however, correctly identified them as “unauthorized aliens.”

“The laws were passed in part for their effect on immigration by unauthorized aliens,” Judge Campbell wrote, “but the legislature was also addressing a pressing criminal problem that adversely affected Arizona residents.”

This good news comes too late for Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who lost his bid for reelection to Paul Penzone, a George Soros backed, spousal abusing Democrat. Penzone received $millions from the multi-billionaire globalist who disdains sovereign national borders and is focused on replacing elected law enforcement professionals across the United States. Sheriff Arpaio has been elected to an unprecedented six 4-year terms.

“I have taken a lot of criticism for going into the businesses, arresting workers that are here illegally,” Arpaio was quoted as saying. “I said from the beginning my main objective was to enforce the ID laws, so I’m very happy that the judge ruled in our favor.”

Joe is a man of principle and courage, a true American patriot. Concepts foreign to liberals. We need more public officials like Joe who are willing to stand up for the people and do what is right. God Bless you Joe. Thank you for your years of loyal service.

They went after Joe every 4 years, they finally got him out. Joe did nothing but enforce the laws the state passed. Who should have been sued were the Sheriff’s who refused to uphold the laws.

  2. Kathy says:

Soros got his man in and Joe out. The citizens of Maricopa county are less safe. Finally Joe won one battle and hopefully more. Thank you Joe for your tireless work.

  3. Conservative Since Birth says:

Vindictive forces, George Soros and the Obama administration, timed this perfectly to get their man. Sheriff Arpaio didn’t have a minute’s peace since 2008. The majority of Arizonans probably don’t know he’s been vindicated. Evil people. I hope karma gets them and we all get to witness it.

Soros is also behind the “vote recount” in WI, MI and PA. It won’t change anything, but it does create chaos.

Could the timing of this decision be more suspicious?
After all this time, now–now that the other guy stole the election, now the Obama/Soros tag team calls off their dogs.

Sheriff Joe deserves our respect for having upheld the law.

I have no doubt that Obama realized that Trump would get involved in this and fix it come January.

What they did to Sheriff Joe is just another example of the “legacy” of BO.

Meanwhile, as we approach the Christmas season, popefrancis meets with scientists at the Vatican and encourages them to solve the problems of the world. Most of those in the room were noted to be atheist.

And then popefrancis struck a deal with China that now allows the Chinese government–not the Vatican— to choose Catholic bishops in that country.

The problems of the world cannot be solved by men, unless God wills it. Seems like francis would know that. Just another politician in a world that longs someone to re-introduce and reunite us with God.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is an honorable man and a professional career law enforcement officer. He is renown throughout the United States and worldwide and has put Maricopa County in the forefront of dealing with the illegal invasion from south of the border as well as numerous other nations. They all make use of the Mexican coyotes and our sieve-like border to gain access to our homeland, making us sitting ducks for terrorists. The border was my major reason for voting for Donald Trump. I hope he keeps his word on building a wall. It’s worked very well for Israel, and kept the mongols out of China hundreds of years before the birth of Christ.

Glad to see this ruling is garnering national attention. What a shame that this decision was reached after the votes were in. Add this as another reason election month benefits no one. Often voters mail in their ballots and discover new facts too late for them to have an impact. Having a single Election Day curtailed that possibility.
