Lack of information exposes the falsehood of adage “No news is good news”
The local newspaper isn’t giving this any ink, but Pamela Geller reports ISIS is in Phoenix and plotting to attack a midnight mass and Tucson Jewish community center. Also on Derrick Thompson’s attack list found by officers during a search of the apartment he shared with his wife and young child, were a military recruiting center and fitness location. Thompson, who also goes by the name Abu Talib Al-Amriki, is a home-grown, Phoenix raised jihadist. He’s a convicted felon, prohibited from purchasing firearms, which he has repeatedly attempted to do online. He was arrested by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Geller links to an ABC 15 Arizona report.
Thompson’s arrest comes a month after Mahin Khan, an 18-year-old Arizona man, was sentenced to eight years in prison for terrorism convictions stemming from a plot to attack a motor vehicle office in metro Phoenix.
While the Arizona Republic busies itself denouncing President-elect Donald Trump and irrationally comparing him to German mass murderer Adolf Hitler weeks before his inauguration, fundamental Islamic terrorists are working to decimate us. The newspaper — which often reprints the identical story in another section of the same edition — can’t claim it has no additional space to inform Arizonans of the terrorists in our midst. It might just be it has no will to do so.
This nearly six-year old SRAZ post, Hezbollah on our doorstep: Radical Muslims in border towns, includes this ABC 10 San Diego news report detailing the Shi’a Muslim terrorist group Hezbollah has a long established foothold in Tijuana and other border towns.
Read the shocking results of this Center for Security Policy poll conducted among U.S. Muslims who say they would trade the U.S. Constitution for Shariah law and specify that the Quran should be highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion.
After famed neurosurgeon and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson responded to a question by saying that he would not support an obedient Muslim for president because Islamic law is incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, the former brain surgeon’s roasting among media talkers and politicians of all stripes took on a life of its own.
There’s no doubt that Dr. Carson was correct. But among dedicated liberals these days political correctness trumps being correct — even if we are ensuring our own demise and burqas for our granddaughters.
