What’s going on with the AZ GOP?

It’s time to take back the AZ Republican Party

Frosty Taylor, editor & publisher of Republican Briefs, is a reliable conservative source who has unfailingly gotten essential information out to Maricopa County Republican activists. A former newspaper reporter, her commitment to integrity was honed when that was a career goal of people once known as journalists.

Monday’s Jan. 2, 2017 Briefs is loaded with crucial facts regarding the Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC) Statutory Organizational Meeting to be held Jan 14, 2017 at El Zaribah Shriner’s Auditorium, 552 N 40th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008. The state GOP Statutory meeting (time and location not yet announced) will follow the Maricopa County meeting on Jan. 28. There are three candidates for AZ GOP Chairman: Briefs has sent identical questions to each of the candidates and will print their responses each day. Jonathan Lines, Frank Thorwald and Jim O’Connor’s replies are available under the Briefs link.

Candidates running for AZ GOP office and Maricopa County Republican Committee office during the January 2017 Mandatory meetings have been asked to submit their bios and positions to help PCs get acquainted with them and their views.

Worthy of note are the shenanigans current State Chairman Robert Graham has been engaging in. SRAZ has written about his deception on numerous occasions. Here is but one example. He is not only establishment, but self-serving and obviously angry that his aspirations to head the Republican National Committee have evaporated before his eyes. Opposing Donald Trump, he takes his marching orders from the McCain/Flake cabal, who both opposed Trump. Additionally, Graham was well aware and likely even complicit in the most recent McCain orchestrated ousting of conservative, elected precinct committeemen.

This upper echelon party effort to systematically remove conservatives from the Arizona party ranks previously made the national news. In 2012, former Sen. Jon Kyl also engaged in these despicable actions against dedicated PCs.

Be sure to check out  the Jan. 1, 2017 cartoon published by The Arizona Daily Independent, depicting how the Republican Establishment continues to wage war on the party Grassroots, as the GOP syndicate lines up against Jim O’Connor.  The conclusion drawn is, “that means he must be good….”  He is.  Of the three on the list, O’Connor is the one to support.

MCRC candidates announced for the Jan 14 Mandatory meeting election of officers, according to MCRC Nominating Committee Chairman Raymond Jones:

Chairman: Chris Herring and Tristan Manos

1st Vice Chairman:  Aaron Flannery

2nd Vice Chairman:  Yvonne Cahill

Secretary: Cindy Casaus

Treasurer:  Wesley W. Harris

  1. GOP PC says:

Having elected Donald Trump in a stunning upset over Hillary Clinton should have made the AZ GOP brass gleeful. Instead Jeff the Flake went on every program that would give him air time to say he wouldn’t vote for Trump. McCain quickly withdrew his limp endorsement. These two are embarrassments to the Republican Party and infuriate me as a longtime Republican precinct committeeman. They are amnesty clones who care more about their ability to collude with liberals than do about representing us. Have you ever noticed that “bi-partisanship” only works when Republicans cave in to Democrats? Flake won’t have a basketball playing buddy once Trump assumes office and Barack O, the worst president in my lifetime, is out the door.

Robert Graham is a slickster. Nothing matters more to this practiced con than himself. I was briefly taken in by his “sincerity” when he first ran. It didn’t take long to see that he was a fraud. He is backing
Jonathan Lines a cohort from Yuma. If Lines thinks Graham is going to win conservatives to his campaign, he’s sorely mistaken.

After two terms of Graham and his arrogance, I am more than ready for less flash and more integrity. I’m usually a pretty good judge of character, but was initially deceived by the act.

    Jim O’Connor has my vote.

With so many people fleeing the high taxes and oppressive regulations of California; Oregon, and Washington, I wonder just how much longer AZ will remain red.

A few weeks ago, we were talking about the possibility of Robert Graham being gifted the RNC chairmanship. And now we know that it went to the young niece of Mitt Romney. She had zero political experience prior to joining MItt’s failed run for the WH.

Seems like everyone is racing to reach the bottom rung of the Republican ladder.

In Israel today, police have placed black curtained barricades around Prime Minister Netanyahu’s home as he is being questioned by Israeli police over allegations of corruption.
Remember when Obama sent his peeps to Israel to try to influence their election? Sounds like he is meddling again.

    • State Delegate says:

Benjamin Netanyahu is the Prime Minster of the only Democracy in the Middle East but was treated like garbage by Obama, who knew he was out of his league when dealing with this highly intelligent man. When the PM was invited to speak to our U.S. Congress, Obama pitched a fit, knowing he would be shown for the petty creep he is

Staying with the topic, I applaud both Briefs and SRAZ for exposing Robert Graham’s go along to get along attitude when it comes to McCain and Flake. He tries to play on the same level with the “big boys,” but is only their useful idiot, albeit with a colossal ego. In truth Robert Graham is pathetic. Will be glad to see him go. Just wonder here he’ill show up next. He’d be a great used car salesman. I’d buy a used car from him just so he could see me laugh.

  4. Constitutional AZ patriot says:

One can only hope that the County candidates realize there is NO I in the word TEAM and it is MHO that Cindy Love for 2nd VC who will be running against Cahill makes it important to vote for Cindy who works well with others and gets my vote. Tristan Manos has been good at putting his hard work and the Party first into action and not the rabble rouser that Chris Herring has had a long history of demonstrating at the EGC. As for Aaron Flannery, his alignment with the establishment leaves something to be desired. Wesley Harris, too, seems to not always try to be part of the team. Maybe some good patriots will step us and run for offices that at least gives the PCs a choice for better candidates. A word of advice, elections have consequences so vet before you vote.
As for the State Go Jim, Go Gabby, Go Bob Lettieri!!! They get my vote as well.

    • Realist says:

If you’re a Constitutional AZ patriot, I’m a monkey’s uncle. Your No “I” in Team is right out of the psychobabble playbook of academia. I must have heard that a thousand times through El-Hi and beyond. It’s a means of keeping everyone manageable, with no leaders other than the establishment certified ones. Pure BS.

To accuse Aaron Flannery of having establishment ties is so preposterous as to be side splitting. When he challenged County Recorder Helen Purcell who had been in office when lanterns lit the streets, he clearly showed he was anything but establishment. He courteously debated her and stepped aside like a gentleman when she barely squeaked through the Primary. .Unfortunately we ultimately ended up with a liberal Democrat who will now be in charge of vote tabulations, which I suspect makes you very happy. Purcell should have moved on and endorsed Flannery but she couldn’t bring herself to do anything so noble when it meant walking away from power even in her 80’s like her friend John McCain.

Wes Harris? He’s known for having LED the team, starting the first tea party group in Phoenix. He is a fixture at Phoenix City Council meetings watching out for our interests and doing an excellent job! You appear to prefer sheeple to motivated people. If you support conservative Jim O’Connor, Aaron Flannery and Wes Harris should top your list as well. That’s why I find your comment reeking of that foul odor emitted by RINOs.

    >strong>Liberals Panic as Trump Could Flip Left-Leaning Ninth Circuit

Liberals are panicking about the fact that President-elect Donald Trump will be able to fill four vacancies on the historically left-leaning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals when he takes office later this month.

    • Kent says:

Aside from Chuckie Schumer, McCain and ‘lil Lindsey Grahamnesty had no “bipartisan coalition” to give this very partisan scheme legs. They pulled the plug because they had no choice. It was going to be payback to Trump for having the temerity to win the presidency when McCain handed the victory to Obama and Grahamnesty couldn’t get out of 17 place.

During the swearing-in ceremony today for new members of Congress. this happens”

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4085826/Wait-till-home-New-congressman-s-teenage-son-dabs-swearing-photo-op-Speaker-House-tells-cut-out.html

Teenage son of an “establishment” Repub. tries to do a little dance move called a “dab”, which is brought to you courtesy of some NFL players. The new Congressman, John Marshall of Kansas, beat out the Tea Party candidate.

The newly sworn-in liar tried to cover for his son by saying that he was trying to sneeze, although the son was standing behind him, out of his range of vision at the time of the incident.

The video clearly shows his moves.
