Petulant Dems play risky, calculated political games

Obama sends American troops to Russian border

The newly sworn-in Republican-majority Congress is in unchartered waters with Donald Trump just two weeks from his Jan. 20 inauguration. They are faced with an unconventional leader whose much used Twitter account has 18.5 million followers. Members of the 115th Congress have to come to terms that Trump is far more popular in their districts than they are. Overall confidence in Congress has fallen sharply as this Gallop polling going back to 1977 illustrates.

But such facts are of little consequence to Senate Democrats still reeling over their massive losses — not only having their hopes of Obama’s third term played out by Hillary Clinton, dashed —- but losing governorships and U. S. House and Senate seats.

Writing for National Review Kevin D. Williamson assesses the scorched earth facts, adding a bit of whimsy to the Dems harsh reality:

There are 25 states in which the state legislatures and governorships are controlled by Republicans, and two states with executive/legislative divides in which there are Republican legislative majorities large enough to override a veto from the Democratic governor. Sixty-eight of the country’s 98 partisan state legislative chambers are Republican-run. There are only four states with Democratic governors and legislatures; it is true that these include one of our most populous states (California), but the majority of Americans live in states in which there are Republican trifectas or veto-proof legislative majorities. Two-thirds of the nation’s governors are Republicans; more than two-thirds of our state legislative houses are under Republican control. Republicans control both houses of Congress and have just won the presidency.

Democrats control the dean of students’ office at Oberlin.

Yet in typical fashion, Democrats react by turning out John McCain’s favorite leftist Chuck Schumer to announce that they will do whatever it takes to scuttle the nominations of at least eight of President-elect Donald Trump’s “rigged Cabinet” selections, as reported by the Washington Post. Their scheme, calculated to cause a fissure in the new administration, is to stretch confirmation votes into March — an unprecedented break with Senate tradition.

So much for Obama’s shallow words pledging a “smooth and efficient” transition for his successor. Obviously, he ditched his promise before the words left his mouth.

President-elect Trump’s popularity has soared in the days since his election, according to a new, not known to favor conservatives, POLITICO/Morning Consult poll of registered voters.

And soon-to-be-out-the-door Barack Obama? Back from his final taxpayer-funded, Hawaiian Christmas/golf vacation, he’s now busying himself deploying American special forces troops to join NATO at the Russian border to rein in “aggressor” Vladimir Putin.

McCain is so proud of Obama right now. Fools all. Man-child is playing toy soldiers with real life consequences. Pray for God’s help.

  2. MacBeth says:

Barack Obama and his Democrat goons care less about the USA and Americans than they do about trying to take down Republicans, despite their own vast nationwide losses. They have no capacity for seeing the big picture, feeling embarrassment or acting in a righteous manner to benefit the citizens of the United States.

Obama is capable of anything at this point.
He has set the stage to blame Russia for the election results, because he is psychologically unable to place blame where it rightly belongs.

After last night’s airing of the hour-long interview that Hannity conducted with Julian Assange on Monday, Obama HAD to do something to (in his mind only) retain control of the situation.

In his dangerous mind, here’s the formula:
Interview between Sean Hannity of FOX with Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks = Obama sending U.S. troops to the Russian border.

Remember that, in response to Obama (from Hawaii) ordering the ousting of Russian diplomats from the U.S. was met with Vladamir Putin inviting the children of U.S. diplomats in Russia to the Kremlin for a Christmas party.

Obama will never give up the WH. He wants to do what the President of Venezuela has done to that country in just a two year period of time—–the middle class has been erased; people are starving; shops are closed; there is no medicine available in hospitals, government services have been halted.

President Pantywaist will kill us all —–start a world war—-because the checks and balances put in place by our Founding Fathers were not put into action by Congress or SCOTUS.

No one with authority stopped the Narcissist.

Conservative columnist Gerald Warner, a brilliant journalist from Scotland, wrote a column that was published in the Telegraph U.K. on Obama’s first inauguration day.

    It was entitled,
“This Emperor Has No Clothes—- It Will All End in Tears”.

something im sure his friend jonny “amnesty” mccain loves, like most other things obama does.

    then there is this……

After Biden gave the oath of office to McCain, and the senator’s family approached for a photo, the two engaged in small talk.

“Thank God you’re here, John,” Biden told McCain. “I’m so glad you ran again.”

“Thank you, we love you,” McCain said in return.

Biden then moved in for a kiss and some close talk with Cindy McCain.

Gotta see this story with embedded video.
Crazy Joe Biden had a field day with the ladies yesterday, during swearing-in ceremonies.

Check out the video of the female infant who was having none of it.

Corrupt and psycho creeps in the swamp.

    • Seen It All says:

Of course Joe Biden was happy John McAwful won. He’s on the same page with the Democrats, and always has been. Never forget, McCain had to be forcefully “persuaded” by the then-powerful Phoenix 40 not to try to run as a Democrat for the congressional seat being vacated by retiring House Minority Leader and strong conservative John J. Rhodes. Rhodes was a brilliant and well respected man who represented the East Valley in what was then CD 1. He was a Harvard Law School grad who was brought in to tell President Nixon it was time to resign. Rhodes carried such authority because he was known as a decent and fair minded man. To show their commitment the McCain’s even moved to the East Valley for the two years he was in the U.S. House, but the then hickified EV was not in keeping with their posh lifestyle and they returned to Phoenix when he ran for the Senate.

How nauseating – two old political hacks fawning over each other. McCain looks old and Biden is so full of it, you just want to barf.

Ted Cruz put forth a bill for term limits on these lifers and the positions they hold so dear. Three terms (2 years each) for the House and two terms (6 years each) for the Senate. I’m betting with snakes like those two – it won’t go anywhere.

      • azgary says:

rafael cruz straining for relevance when he has NONE.

he knows it will go nowhere, just more grandstanding by a phony.

  5. Army Of One says:

Remember Michael New? He was a member of the U.S. Army who objected to wearing a United Nations insignia on his uniform. This was implemented during Bill Clinton’s administration….not all that far removed from Obama’s odd timing of sending our troops to join NATO fighting Russia when he’s days away from no longer being president..

  6. Kathy says:

I wonder if Wikileaks will release info (if they have info) on McCain, Grahamnesty, Ryan and all the others who have aided Obama in arming terrorists? There is a dangerous game being played and many are dying!

      Speaking of moving vans:

United Van Lines, which keeps track of who is renting their moving vans and where they’re taking them found that in 2016 their customers were mostly fleeing East Coast states like New York and New Jersey and heading to places like South Dakota, Oregon, and Idaho.

“The Western U.S. is represented on the high-inbound list by Oregon (67 percent), Idaho (65 percent), Washington (58 percent), Nevada (58 percent) and Arizona (57 percent),” says the company’s press release. “Of moves to Oregon, the highest ranking Western state, a new job or company transfer (53 percent) and retirement (19 percent) led the reasons for most inbound moves.”
