Donald Trump became the president with speech to Congress

Americans watched transfixed as the election returns came in on November 8, 2016 and Republican Donald Trump was declared President of the United States. A shell-shocked Hillary Clinton called to concede in the early morning hours the next day. Conservatives cheered the election of the populist, swept into office by citizens of all political persuasions frustrated with the status quo.

Conceited liberals were unable to process the results. The leftist press has relentlessly brutalized him. The rest of us knew he would ably represent us.

Tuesday evening, after less than two months in office, President Trump delivered his inspiring first speech (video) to the joint session of Congress signaling what can only be described as a powerful beginning — setting the marker for his entire presidency.  Fox News’ Chris Wallace was compelled to call it “one of the best speeches [he’s] heard a president give.”

President Donald J. Trump concluded his dynamic address (full text)* with these words:

The time for small thinking is over.  The time for trivial fights is behind us.

We just need the courage to share the dreams that fill our hearts, the bravery to express the hopes that stir our souls. And the confidence to turn those hopes and dreams to action. From now on, America will be empowered by our aspirations, not burdened by our fears, inspired by the future, not bound by the failures of the past, and guided by our vision, not blinded by our doubts.

I am asking all citizens to embrace this Renewal of the American Spirit.  I am asking all members of Congress to join me in dreaming big, and bold and daring things for our country.  And I am asking everyone watching tonight to seize this moment and — Believe in yourselves. Believe in your future. And believe, once more, in America.

Thank you, God bless you, and God bless these United States.

I was brimming with pride as I watched and listened to President Trump last night. I have no doubt he will emerge as one of America’s great leaders. My barometer was on high alert last night when not a single one of the liberals I know called after his address to Congress! If they can’t gloat, they clam up. Last night the “clams” must have been in a collective stupor.

The stock market, which has been surging since Donald Trump’s election, bumped even higher today after the jubilant reaction to his speech to Congress, Trump is a business man and in many respects his background is preferable to having been an entrenched politician. That fact and his clear commitment to honoring his campaign pledges, have made him a welcome antidote to politics as usual.

So the ugly, angry Dems added small and petty to their description last night.

And the gaggle of female Dems, dressed all in white supposedly to champion the suffragette movement——-wonder how many of them even knows the history of that? The aging sorority sisters even posed for official group photographs—-which we the taxpayers no doubt paid for.

Once again, they are on the losing side of history and blinded by their ideology.

Anyone notice that the camera paused a moment on McCain and his date for the evening, Lindsey?

Meanwhile, when Trump gave a speech recently and made remarks about Sweden, he caused quite a stir in the media.
    As usual, Trump is right.

Please take a look at the story written by British journalist (and brave cancer survivor) Katie Hopkins.

After being contacted by many women in Sweden, she went there to meet with them and to see for herself. Her description of the no-go zones in Stockholm and photographs of the muslim males milling about day and night is the first real truth that has emerged about the “problem” in Sweden.

Today marks the untimely passing of Andrew Breitbart, who has now been gone from us for five years.
Where would we be without his bravery and tenacity?
May his soul be at peace with God in Heaven.

( I will always believe that he was killed by Dem operatives.
He was about to expose something about John Podesta and had put Podesta on notice.)

Saguaro Sam – I chuckled seeing the twosome sitting together both looking glum, McCain and Graham that is. They looked like the Democrats! And I agree with you about Andrew Breitbart.

    • Patriot Mom says:

Thank you for reminding us about Andrew Breitbart, a heroic conservative, who died far too young in what many regarded as a mysterious fashion.

I was unaware of his research into John Podesta. Given that, your conclusion makes perfect sense. Does the name Vince Foster come to mind? Nothing that is linked to the Clinton cabal would surprise me.

Remember when Michelle Obama, who went to a prestigious university and law school on diversity scholarships paid for by taxpayers, said she had never been proud of the United States until Barack was nominated on the Democrat ticket?

Well, I can finally say that since Ronald Reagan was elected, I’ve never been as proud of any president as as I was watching Pres. Trump last night.

From the moment Donald J. Trump walked into the room last night, I saw a man who should be president. He looked more at ease than anyone else. He spoke from the heart. He hit all the right notes. He was inclusive in a responsible way – he said everyone is equal in America. He stuck up for us, American citizens. And I saw somewhere this morning that he referred to himself 60% less than the previous inhabitant of the White House. When he referred to “the First Lady,” the applause for her was thunderous. She’s the epitome of what a First Lady should be.

All that hype we had to endure about Obama and what a wondrous speaker he was – well, President Trump last night blew Obama away in every regard – delivery, honesty, selflessness, caring for others, sincerity, and a love and respect for our country. He reminded me of Ronald Reagan.

Hey bother and sister Deplorables! Looks like we were right – right from the start about this terrific man. I never had any doubt.

The Democrats put on display their disdain for We the People and this Nation. They sat on their hands regarding American Jobs, fighting terrorism, honoring our law enforcement, honoring our military, etc. They booed the Father who’s son was brutally murdered by an illegal alien – and this Father is black, talk about racists!! They refused to support education for all – very telling since the Dems want to keep many ignorant and poor. In the Dems minds they were protesting President Trump when in actuality they were protesting We the LEGAL Citizens of this Nation and this Nation as founded. I also include the establishment Rino’s with the Dems.

McCain and Grahamnesty looked so depressed – I guess all of their dirty work is NOT bringing down Trump.

Another note – George Bush never said one word in 8 years against Obama and now he is coming out against President Trump. Mr. Bush is part of the establishment and are losing their status.

    • Ellsworth says:

The inseparable duo John McAmnesty and Lindsey Grahamnesty were likely holding hands out of the range of the camera’s prying eyes. But where was Jeff McFlake? He refused to endorse Donald Trump and then made a spectacle of himself saying he wouldn’t vote for him, and that he “couldn’t and shouldn’t be elected.” Just a bit off base with his flaky predictions, I’d say. President Trump makes Jeff Flake look like the lyin’ flake he is. We need to vote him out!!

As to GW Bush, he comes from a family of disreputable establishment hacks. So glad Jeb got kicked to the curb. The Bushes were quickly disabused of he notion that it was “his turn.”

The only ´President´ in history to attempt to overthrow his successor.

His narcissistic personality disorder (mental illness) will not allow him to ever step down or step aside. He possesses all Nine of the diagnostic criteria necessary for a licensed practitioner to render a diagnosis.
Displaying 5 of the 9 criteria is required in order to be diagnosed. but narcissists rarely seek help because they think no one is as smart or as qualified as they are.

If a narcissist does seek professional help, it is usually because their family or a spouse has had it and is about to pull the plug on the relationship. Sadly, the narcissist May tolerate one visit to the shrink, but then decides that the perceived problem is the fault of everyone else.

Google: diagnostic criteria for narcissistic personality disorder

Obama, because of mental illness and his radical ideology, is potentially the most dangerous man in America.

Now with another 60 million dollars, in addition to all the money from the never-ending fundraisers, he can buy as many protestors and rioters as can George Soros.

  9. Night Owl says:

One of my favorite take away lines tucked in near the end of Trump’s speech:
“Free nations are the best vehicle for expressing the will of the people — and America respects the right of all nations to chart their own path. My job is not to represent the world. My job is to represent the United States of America. But we know that America is better off when there is less conflict — not more.”

Great speech. Great delivery. Is proving to be a great president.
