US House passes criminal aliens bills — will Senate act?

Kate’s Law is named to memorialize Kathryn Steinle, 32, who was shot and killed in 2015 by an illegal alien brandishing a stolen firearm as she strolled the San Francisco pier with her father. The shooter, Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, a Mexican national, was a repeat felon who had been deported five times.

This past week, the U.S. House passed two bills to address the laxity that allowed this tragedy, and other such crimes, to occur.

The bills —  Kate’s Law (HR 3004) and the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act (HR 3003) —  increase penalties for illegals who reenter the United States after being deported for criminal acts. Sanctuary cities or states that provide protections to illegals would be ineligible for certain federal funds. Arizona U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-CD 5) co-authored HR 3003, which included his bill Grant’s Law.

It was a victory that Kate’s Law passed. That it passed with these skewed, largely party line numbers — 257-167 — stands as a stark reminder that liberals appear content with the status quo.

Rep. Biggs’ excellent commentary —Dealing with illegals who deal in crime,” appeared in the Thursday edition of the Washington Times, describing the pressing need for the legislation. Biggs provides background that takes the victims from momentary names in the news to real people whose lives were brutally taken by criminal aliens.

In 2015, Seeing Red AZ detailed the callus murder of Grant Ronnebeck, a 21-year-old Mesa convenience store clerk whose young life was cut short by the previously convicted felon who had been given a sweetheart deal, releasing him from federal custody prior to deportation.

The future of these much needed bills remains uncertain when they get to the U.S. Senate.

Call the offices Arizona Sens. Jeff Flake and John McCain  (Contact information under links)  and urge them to act admirably and vote for passage of these bills. They are both committed amnesty proponents, so their natural inclination would be to protect illegals.

Having grown up in the East Valley with very little to no representation in DC (ie. Congressmen McCain and Flake) I am reminded daily by Congressman Biggs of what we missed out on. I have little doubt that the Ronnebeck family’s tragedy would have been buried and forgotten had anyone else been elected with the possible exception of Olsen.

Do they still answer the phones over at Johnny & Jeffy’s clubhouses?
Or does one get this—-“press 1 to make a campaign contribution, otherwise stay on the line till Phoenix freezes over”?

As we prepare to celebrate our God-given freedom, you might not be surprised to learn that Obama is in Indonesia speechifying about the dangers of nationalism and generally holding a verbal diarrhea session regarding the terrible USA and Trump.

Obama is now A-OK with talking at length about his childhood home, Indonesia, waxing eloquent to the throngs of poverty stricken folks leaning on his every word.

Here’s the link to the article, which also includes how President Trump in spending this weekend honoring our military.
(The Trump stuff comes after the Obama BS.)

The contrast could not be more jarring.

    Stay safe everyone.

Due to the type of profession I’m in, my outgoing phone number is blacked. Our senators, supposedly elected to represent us, won’t accept my calls unless I clear my number to accommodate their whims. There is no harm that could come to the staffers who answer the calls through a phone call. I find this beyond arrogant and insulting to those of us who have have the need for privacy.

They don’t make their personal numbers available to us, and we pay their salaries.

Buy a throw-away phone at WalMart or similar store. They sometimes come with 60 free minutes of talk time before you have to pay to re-load. When you activate the phone, you can have the caller ID show up as Jose or Juan, etc.–whatever you choose.
Bet McFlakes peeps would pick up before it rang twice.

As an aside, the Govt Accountability Office just released a statement that a huge number of free Obamaphones are registered to folks who have been deceased for a long, long time.
And not only do the dead talk—it appears that they also Vote!

You might have had your tongue firmly planted in your cheek with your comment about the throw away phones, but I like it, Sam!

Isn’t it a shame that this is even an issue? We are being governed by elitists who have no consideration for us except for their desire to use us to return to breathe the rarefied Potomac air. I read a comment on this site sometime back, which I now observe. It urged that we stop standing for these politicians when they enter a room. We have created the monsters they have become by treating them like deities. Applaud after they’ve spoken and if you agree with their comments, but stop standing!

Count on this: Hell will freeze over before Flake or McCain vote in favor of penalizing illegals, even murderous ones. They need to be handled with kid gloves—after all, they had a difficult time in the desert on the way to invading Arizona and then getting situated on the gravy train for any and every benefit they might desire, from housing, food, schooling for their ninos, medical care for the family, apprenticeship training with tradesmen, who teach them framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting etc, so they can pay the illegals less than Americans keeping them unemployed while Pedro works at the same job as Pete but for less!

These bills will die in the senate as AZ’s two traitors align with Charles Schumer and his cohorts to stick it to us once again. Flake is up for reelection, so he’ll have his finger to the wind, but my prediction stands.

  5. Kathy says:

McCain and Flake will mysteriously not be around for the vote or they will abstain. Why, because they have so much blood on their hands and also Soros will withold funds.

McCain and Flake have no honor or integrity and do NOT uphold our Constitution as they have sworn to do.

Well, I believe the Lady has pretty much summed up how OUR “?senators?” will handle this situation. Strong work, Kathy.
