Dignity, collegiality and propriety? We need a fighter

Author Evan Sayet provides a rational look at the political world as it is. Take a couple of minutes to read, “He fights.”

The title comes from a wartime statement made by President Lincoln describing General Ulysses Grant. Donald Trump is America’s first wartime president in the Culture War. The analogy is unmistakable.

I wish everyone would read this article. Most conservatives will get it and perhaps a few libs will as well. We have two choices, the swamp or President Trump.

Outstanding article. I have a friend who said “I wish Trump would stop with the tweeting.” That friend got caught up with the ‘criticism’ of how a president ‘should act.’ I hope President Trump never stops fighting. He’s doing it for us. The pathetic “collegial” cast of characters we have in D.C. are just there to keep things like they’ve always been. Finally – we have a fighter!12

Lincoln got it right and so did the citizens of the United States in 2016 who understood what we are up against. Trump is no Ronald Reagan, but he’s given us a conservative Supreme Court Justice with the appointment of Neil Gorsuch, worth its weight in gold, and is now hamstrung by his own party in attempting to make good on his promise to repeal and replace the health care debacle known a Obama Care.

    Brilliant column by Mr. Sayet.
Loved the way he contrasted the builder Trump with the destroyer Obama.

If GW Bush had spoken up, instead of staying utterly silent, perhaps this would not have gotten so completely out of hand.
Still to this day, GWB’s sidekick Dana Perino continues to belive that staying silent in the face of lies is the way to go.

Never, ever go to Mexico and don’t drink their beer. There are many better places to visit and many better ways to imbibe, including the USA and American beverages.

  6. Conservative Since Birth says:

Trump is fighting for us. All good except Robert Graham, the phony “conservative.”

Flake-out: RINO’s feud with Trump could spell conservative win

    • Realist says:

Describing Robert Graham as a conservative has got to be a joke — a bad one at that. He’s a McCain clone.

  7. Saguaro Sam says:

McCain, hours after CA dx goes public, rips Trump in statement.

    How low can he go?

I saw this on another website:

Incredible timing for sympathies in light of this Huge scandal:
Illegal Billion dollar Syrian (ISIS/Al-Nusra) rebel weapons project Timber Sycamore – a McCain & Graham pet project exposed for being the biggest scandal / bigger than the Iran Contra Scandal in the black market arms trafficking world.

      • Saguaro Sam says:

All SIXTY of those “rebels” the US taxpayers funded to fight ISIS ending up running away or being killed.

        Rebels and mavericks, oh my.

Where did all the money go?

Trump, Get US out of the Middle East!

  8. Jakesez says:

Great article. Many of us have wished for years that the republicans would join in the knife fight rather than turning the other cheek. Even when we did have a candidate that would fight back it seems that he used a butter knife because he didn’t want to violate the rules the leftist had made for the conservatives to abide by.

Wake up, stop supporting anyone who calls themselves a republican and start being selective with your support and money.

Good article but everything can’t be Shoot from the Hip like it seems to be now.
