Deploring Charlottesville’s violence gets selective coverage

A rally originally planned to protest plans by the city of Charlottesville, Virginia to remove a statue of Gen. Robert E. Lee, turned violent and deadly Saturday as a car driven by James Alex Fields Jr, 20, intentionally plowed into the crowd of counter protestors, injuring dozens and killing a woman crossing the street. Terrorist Fields, an Ohio resident, has been charged with murder. Two officers were killed in a police helicopter crash.

Torch-bearing protestors, estimated at an alarming 6,000, began assembling Friday night in Emancipation Park formerly known as Lee Park. Charlottesville, home of the University of Virginia has a population under 50,000 residents.

Reports of the deplorable violence identify the protesters as white supremacists, neo-Nazis, members of the Ku Klux Klan and the “alt-right” — a fairly recent construct that no one seems to be able to pinpoint, but clearly — and unfairly — targets conservatives.

How is that conclusion reached?

The Daily Mail concludes, “The extreme right hopes to have a stronger showing thanks to the presence of various leaders of the ‘alt-right’ movement that has been emboldened by Trump’s ascent to the White House.” Another from the U.K. headlines, “Donald Trump condemns violence at ‘far-right’ rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, saying ‘we all must be united’“

Although both President Trump and First Lady Melania, issued messages of condolences and condemned “the hatred, bigotry and violence,‘ he was criticized for not responding quickly enough and using the wrong words. Politico went so far as to accuse him of specifically “failing to condemn white supremacists.” Sunday morning, when Ivanka Trump tweeted “There should be no place in society for racism, white supremacy and neo-nazis,“ the left’s obsessive hatred of her father fueled the replies. Hate monger Keith Olbermann, now reduced to a twice weekly YouTube show called “The Resistance,” displayed his vile contempt for the president with this very tasteful tweet.

The  Arizona Republic, working feverishly to buff up the bottom dragging image Jeff Flake has created for himself, thought Flake’s tweeted condemnation of the riot’s white supremacy was worthy of a stand alone Sunday edition news article.

And so it goes.

History is just that. Whether some deem it politically incorrect today doesn’t make it less of who we are. If we obliterate whatever is fashionable to deplore today, we have no history at all. How do we learn from the past when there is none?

The fact is there was a massive war between the north and south. The North won. Over 620,000 Americans committed to their own side, died in the Civil War. We should remember, not eradicate the American story. Do the protesters advocate we burn history books or use the Orwellian trick of rewriting our past to suit the current whims? Taking down monuments is trendy among the left today. What will they demand tomorrow?

Philosopher George Santayana, wisely said, “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

A “reporter” from the Associated Press blindsided the mother of the man who drove his car into the crowd in VA.

Terrible moment for her and the reporter just kept on.

Unfortunately, everything she said has been documented and will be used against, well, everyone who is white, especially if you in any way support Trump.

Charlottesville, Virginia is a lovely town full of history—–the history that Soros’ gang du jour is trying to erase and replace.

Obama did this with Soros’ money.
And McCain and his gangsters on the Hill were complicit.

Black Lives Matter, Antifa etc. can riot for days and weeks with little or no response, but white people assemble to peacefully protest removing an historical monument and all hell breaks loose – police move right in. It’s just automatically assumed just that side is at fault. There’s still more to come out as to how very prepared Antifa was for battle. They had weapons (maybe not guns) at the ready. The driver of the car is immediately assumed to be “alt-right.” The negative name-calling is outrageous. How would you feel being maligned with the description of white supremacist. The Left gets away with it. If they say it often enough – ‘it’s true!’

Politicians on both sides are tripping over themselves commenting on how evil American culture is – Marco Rubio, John McCain, et al. On the other side, Obama, Terry McAuliffe, et al say “I told you how racist this country is.” It’s the same old story. Nobody ever learns from these things. The Left uses this as a political weapon and gets away with it. The hatred being spewed on college campuses toward whites in general, white males in particular is happening year after year and is not addressed by the Left and only a few like Tucker Carlson. President Trump condemned the violence. Obama let Baltimore burn for days. He took the side of blacks in other cases – “The police acted stupidly.” Trump gets criticized for caring about the country.

    Look who’s taking a hike:

Megan is glued to his side as usual, so intent upon taking the reins.

  5. VINOAZ says:

Olbermann is as low as they go. But, how sick are those who follow and agree with him? More of you are agreeing with my prediction that McCain would not finish the 6 years and that horrible Megan would be appointed. Doug! Don’t do it. Appoint yourself.

    • MacBeth says:

It’s exceedingly doubtful Meghan McCain will be appointed to fill out her father’s term. Hold your nose, but Grant Woods name is being floated. Woods was McCain’s chief of staff and was later AZ Attorney General. He ran as a Republican but frequently supports Democrats. His name was prominently displayed on the infamous list of “Republicans for Janet” (Napolitano) !! He does more damage as a RINO than if he’d re-register as the Democrat he is. He is also a committed amnesty for illegals guy.

    FYI everyone:

Confirmed in Navajo and Yavapai Counties: Fleas tested positive for presence of bubonic plaque.

Humans and pets and other domestic animals are at risk.
    (wild animals, too)

As usual, the politically correct CDC in Atlanta is down-playing this. Just as they did decades ago with the first signs of AIDS.
Just as they do with Hanta virus, Noro virus, etc.
Don’t expect them to ever send a team of investigators unless the case is in Hawaii.

Stanford University course to study ‘abolishing whiteness’ – The College Fix

Ernest Miranda, a spokesman for Stanford, told The Fix via e-mail that “‘abolishing whiteness’ is a concept put forward in the 1990s by a number of white historians. Their belief was that if other white people would, like them, stop identifying politically as white, it would help end inequalities.”

Typical of the brainwashing of our once fine colleges and universities.
