Gunning for Roy Moore: Why now?

The U.S. Senate race in Alabama has tentacles that reach deeper and encompass more than most casual political observers can fathom. It also exposes the seamy underbelly of internecine party politics — in this case — the go-along-to-get-along establishment Republicans who are all too eager to see conservative Roy Moore kicked to the curb.

Hauling out accusations of alleged inappropriate behavior with young women claimed as fact by questionable sources or those tied to the Democrat hierarchy, that ostensibly took place nearly 40 years ago is indicative of the lengths to which the desperate will go.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), which fundraises for Senate candidates has withdrawn its support of Moore despite four decades in which he has been a candidate in five statewide campaigns, three county elections and has remained outspoken regarding religious liberty and a public monument of the Ten Commandments.

But Mitch McConnell toady Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Col.), chair of the McConnell-controlled NRSC doesn’t care as he bizarrely threatens to nullify the vote of the people of Alabama, saying, “If he refuses to withdraw and wins, the Senate should vote to expel him, because he does not meet the ethical and moral requirements of the United States Senate.”

We missed similar demands regarding U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez, (D-NJ).

Even with close scrutinizing in the public media and with the intrigue of opposition research, these issues have never been raised against Roy Moore.

Why now?

The answer is simple. Running within the state of Alabama Roy Moore was insulated and safe from scurrilous accusations meant to take him out of his previous campaigns. This time is different.  He’s a conservative running for the U.S. Senate. The party apparatus — most notably Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — wants pliable. Roy Moore doesn’t fit that description. The story broke in the Washington Post, a far left publication solely owned by multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos, who didn’t think it important to cover the ongoing rape allegations against Hollywood insider Harvey Weinstein, but is dedicated to perpetrating politically based allegations against Roy Moore.

Mitch McConnell’s leadership position is riding on this U.S. Senate race. His shaky majority could well be upended by uncompromising conservative Roy Moore.

Curiously, none of Moore’s accusers were heard from when he was elected chief justice in 2000 and 2012 or when he ran for governor in 2006 and 2010, making the women’s claims even more suspicious.

The Washington syndicate can’t tolerate a man of conscience who won’t automatically fall in line with the D.C. power structure, which is why McConnell is now demanding that Moore, “ Step aside.”

But things are different on the home front in Alabama. “I got more calls yesterday for Roy Moore signs than I have since the primary,” Calhoun County Republican Party Chairman James Bennett told the Montgomery Advertiser on Friday. “I think they’re (Moore supporters) are very skeptical of the reporting four weeks before the election. They’re going to withhold their judgment, but they’re not going to withhold their vote.”

Speaking to supporters, Moore nailed it, saying,

“The Democrats, and the Republican establishment, know the importance of this election. In fact, most people in America know the importance of this election. They view it as a prelude to the elections coming in 2018. It may very well determine the future of our country. This is a prime example of fake news, an attempt to divert attention from the true issues that face our country like healthcare, military readiness, tax reform, immigration, and the national debt. We do not intend to let the Democrats or the establishment Republicans or anybody else behind this story stop this campaign. There are investigations going on. In the next few days, there will be revelations about the motivations and the content of these lies. They will be brought to the public.”

Prominent evangelical Christians James Dobson, who heads Focus on the Family and Rev. Franklin Graham praised Roy Moore in advance of Alabama’s Senate runoff.

Dec. 12 Moore will face Democrat Doug Jones.

An analysis of the handwriting and age of the ink in the yearbook would be interesting, Can the governor cancel the election and hold it next year as originally scheduled? Time is needed to sort this out and get to the truth, if it is even possible.

Another fact filled post. This lynching of Judge Moore by McConnell, McCain and their willing Republicrat establishment cohorts shows they are willing to outdo the most liberal Dems in destroying anyone who gets in the way of their agenda. This is a critically important race in that it reveals the actual culprits. I’m renewing my driver’s license soon and will be changing my registration to Independent from Republican. I first registered as a Republican in college.

Democrat and Republican establishment play book on display. I never see the Republican establishment fight this hard against a Democrat.
Heck their idol Bill Clinton has actual committed rape – not a word Lolita express – not a word. Hillary viciously went after the accusers – not a word (McCain loves her you know). HW Bush gropes women – not a word (alleged). Joe Biden gropes women – not a word (alleged). Ted Kennedy performed waitress sandwiches for years – not a word and then of course Mary Jo.
Has there been a trial? – have charges been brought?
To me this sounds a lot like another Fusion GPS set up – Trump “Pee dossier lie” – that the Republican establishment help pay for then the Clintons took over.
I ask this – what does your gut tell you? Remember we have no media – only propaganda.

Sorry about the length of this comment. This was in my email box ths morning from a group called Solution Fund PAC, which is raising money to assist Roy Moore:

11/12/17 9:15 PM CST Montgomery, Alabama
Here is the SHOCKING TRUTH about Roy Moore to the “Republican” and Democrat DC Swamp alike. They are absolutely shocked that they can’t buy him or compromise him so they will stop at nothing to destroy him and his family.
After nearly a year of weak kneed establishment “Republicans” obstructing the very things we voted for last November 8, we know it’s not enough to elect a “Republican”. We have to replace phony “Republicans” with people like Roy Moore who will fight for OUR VALUES and OUR CONSTITUTION to take our country back. When we beat Mitch McConnell with your donations and prayers in September to win the Republican primary, luxurious boardrooms full of the people that put America second and won’t defend our values were terrified. They immediately began their plot to not just stop this courageous man, but destroy him. First they lied about his salary. In all the months we’ve been working in Alabama to elect Roy Moore, we’ve only seen him wear two suits. He and has paid a high financial price for standing for God, America, and our Constitution. Then they even attacked Ms. Kayla, his wife of 33 years. It wasn’t enough… they will stop at nothing. The latest sickening and unbelievable false attacks are ridiculous considering Roy Moore has been in public service for 40 years, and is the most scrutinized politician in Alabama history because of his strong stands for God and America.

Here’s what Roy Moore said face to face with voters this weekend:

“Shortly after becoming the Republican nominee for the United States Senate, the Washington Post began an attack on the Foundation for Moral Law, on my wife, and on me. For weeks, we read about my salary which they distorted, about taxes where they said we were paid money we never got. But we endured that.

Later, they came out and endorsed my opponent in this race. Just two days ago, the Washington Post published yet another attack on my character and reputation in a desperate attempt to stop my political campaign for the United States Senate. These attacks are completely false and untrue about something that DID NOT HAPPEN NEARLY FORTY YEARS AGO. But more than being completely false and untrue, they are very hurtful to me personally.

I’ve been married to my wife Kayla for nearly 33 years. We have four children. I have one daughter, and I have five granddaughters. I have the highest regard for the protection of young children. When I returned to Gadsen forty years ago after military service, I went to work for the office of the District Attorney. I have served in public office for the last forty years.

These lies come only four weeks before the general election on Dec. 12. Why now?

For 40 years I have been closely scrutinized in the press and the public media. I’ve been in five statewide campaigns in which they do opposition research—they do investigations. I’ve been in three county elections and two major controversies over religious liberty and the Ten Commandments.

The Democrats, and the Republican establishment, know the importance of this election.

That’s the truth, but the fact is we are up against a newspaper owned by a billionaire, all the other Fake News Media, the Democrat Party the media works for…. And more significantly, the DC Swamp Republican establishment that from the very beginning would rather see a Democrat in this seat than a real conservative like Roy Moore. In fact, before these fake news lies were launched, we about to email you about former “Republican” congressional staffers that were already here in Alabama working to elect the Democrat Doug Jones. Yes they’ve been here working on behalf of Democrat Doug Jones who believes it’s just fine to abort a precious baby right up until the very moment that baby is born. When we send Roy Moore to the Senate, he will expose these phony “Republicans” for who they are so we can take our country back one seat at a time. But as we mentioned above we need your prayers and donations like never before. We must have the funds to get the truth to voters and get them to the polls. Stop and take a moment right now to pray for America, Roy Moore and his family, and donate to win this victory in the most important election we have seen in years. It’s the best investment for America you can make in any race, anywhere. We are THIRTY DAYS away. Your gift of THIRTY DOLLARS CAN REACH FIVE HUNDRED VOTERS to get them to the polls. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS CAN REACH TWO THOUSAND VOTERS WITH A TARGETED AD AND A CALL to get them to the polls. ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS CAN REACH FIVE THOUSAND VOTERS WITH A TARGETED AD AND CALL. If we all prayerfully give our best we will win the greatest victory for America in years.
there is a click on box to send money to help Roy Moore, but it didn’t copy here. I agree that this is a critically defining race for conservatives. If we need any evidence that establishment Republicans have become our enemy, we’re seeing it play out in Alabama.

When I read, today, that an Alabama official stated that even if Judge Moore won the election, it would be declared null & void due to the NRC’s disapproval, I knew this story was garbage of the worst political sort.

Wishful thinking from big mouthed RINOs.

I’ve been disgusted with politics before, but everything else that riled me pales in caparison to this web of deceit being pushed by the worst kind of scoundrels. The only good news is we’ll soon be washing our hands of the bogus Republican US Senators here in AZ. Their departures can’t happen soon enough to suit me.

    • Frankly Speaking says:

McConnell, McCain, Jeff Flake,Ted Cruz, Mitt Romney and all of the Republicans senators and other politicos who have withdrawn their support from Roy Moore are trying to play us for fools.
They’d rather have a Democrat elected than risk dealing with a conservative who won’t toe their line.

I’ve never stepped foot in Alabama, but today I am a proud Alabaman. I only wish I could vote for Roy Moore.

    • Kathy says:

I donated to Moore’s campaign yesterday.

I’m sure McCain has ties to Fusion GPS – this whole Moore attack reeks of another Fusion GPS collusion with the Establishment. If elected Moore will expose so much of the corruption in both parties that they are scared stiff.

Geez – Jeff Flake just came out and said he would vote for the Democrat in AL. Really – Jones believes in abortion up until the baby is born – so Flake supports infanticide!

  5. Conservative Since Birth says:

This whole subject sickens me. The media protected Ted Kennedy’s womanizing and protected Bill Clinton so that he made it right through to the end of his second term. They demonized all the women who came out against him, per the Alinsky handbook and even today, the husband of a two-time losing presidential candidate is revered among women of the Democrat party.

Now we have a person who’s been attacked and presumed guilty. The GOPe leadership, Gloria Allred, Hugh Hewitt, McCain and his sidekick Lindsey Graham and other RINOs are beating the war drums against Roy Moore. They’d rather have a Democrat in the Alabama seat than someone who won’t be controlled by the swamp. It’s not about sex. It’s about walking in lockstep with McConnell and his agenda. I am glad to see the real Mitch McConnell. He wants Moore out and there was fire in those usually dead eyes when he said he should step down. He never once had that fire when Obama was taking our country apart, piece by piece, for eight long years.

If you have a few extra minutes, here’s a profile on McCain’s dearest “friend” Ted Kennedy and his antics. The man was a menace.

Did you hear about that candidate stalking young women? No… the other one – Hot Air Hot Air

He’s a New Mexico Democrat, the son of a former Congressman.
    From the article:
“The woman, who attended a Halloween party at a hotel in Santa Fe on Oct. 28, said she started receiving persistent text messages from Alcon—one with a picture of his genitals, some suggesting that he was watching her, and others professing his love for her.

The woman said later that night he texted her that he was outside her apartment.”

    If he runs and wins:
“If so, I look forward to the calls from Democrats across the nation for him to “step aside.” If nominated, he should drop out. If elected he should not be seated. If seated he should be expelled from Congress. That’s basically how the drill goes, right? After all, the guy is a convicted stalker and now there are fresh allegations being brought against him. In 2017 we default to believing the accuser. Isn’t that the new rule?

We’ll all wait right here while the rest of you work on that.”

  7. Saguaro Sam says:

Why is there No Coverage of the bribery and corruption trial of US Senator Robert Menendez (D) (NJ)? The accusations also include
underage females (gasp!) LIndsay Graham testified that Mendendez was a fine, upstanding and honorable man.

Within the first two hours of jury deliberation, a juror sent a question to the judge asking, “what is a senator”?

After just a few more hours of deliberation, the jury is supposedly deadlocked. In Newark, NJ.

Just throw a couple of buckets of KFC in the room and watch what happens.

The Kennedy family, beginning with old man Joe, didn’t stop at being womanizers; no, they even drove women to their death.
(Ted and Mary Jo; RFK/JFK with Marilyn Monroe, and, later,
RFK, Jr. whose affairs supposedly caused his wife Mary to become so depressed and withdrawn that she walked herself to a barn on their upstate NY property and managed to climb into the rafters, hoist a rope, and hang herself. Yeah, the odds are very slim for a depressed female to complete that task successfully.)

And it was no problem when sitting Governor Jim McGreavy (D) (NJ) traveled supposedly on State business to Israel; brought back a gay lover; placed him in a high ranking NJ state government job despite having zero experience, and broke his leg whilecavorting with his foreign lover on the beach at night in full view of his State Police detail.
    Talk about rough surf.
McGreavy hobbled around, posing for photos, in a full leg cast and on crutches as if they were badges of honor.
All the while, married to his second (female) wife and being the father of two young daughters. Hey, once again, no problem.

Still waiting for that Poloroid photo that you know exists of Lindsay Graham in high heels, wearing a French maid outfit, waiting on

Now the snake Mitch McConnell (who does a good imitation of an aged grandma minus the bun and roiled down elastic support stockings) is trying to gin up support for a write-in of Jeff Sessions in this senate race.
I’ve never been so ashamed of being associated with the Republican Party as I am watching this unholy spectacle in Alabama.

Menendez mentioned in this article. Also photos of pervy Biden harassing women (and Hillary).

Why don’t the pervy pasts of Joe Biden and Bob Menendez get the same scrutiny as Roy Moore’s?
