Dumping Flake: Nov. 6, 2018 a much anticipated day

We’ll start with the truism that each day is a gift. Wishing them away is beyond foolish. But conservatives can be excused for looking forward in anticipation to the Nov. 6, midterm general election.

As the votes roll in, it will signal the end of the showboating, contrarian political career of the exceptionally mediocre Jeff Flake. He began his time in office under the guise of deceit — vowing he would only serve three terms in the U.S. House. When the time came to fulfill his pledge, he inanely grinned while glibly admitting, “I lied,” and ran for a fourth, fifth and sixth term, before heading to the senate in 2012 with major assists from John McCain and retiring Sen. Jon Kyl.  Even with the senior senators going to bat for the marginal Flake, he won by a mere 3 points.

In retrospect, it’s a good bet Flake’s far more accomplished opponent, former U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, M.D., a man with a powerful personal story and background in the military and law enforcement would have served Arizonans better. The impoverished high school dropout who won two Purple Hearts for combat wounds in Vietnam, got his GED and earned numerous degrees eventually becoming a nurse, medical doctor and professor. Due to a disagreement with George W. Bush, the president who appointed him, the registered Independent allowed himself to be recruited by the Dems, which was a mistake.

Flake’s main job outside of feeding at the public trough was as a registered foreign agent lobbying in D.C. on behalf of Rossing Uranium, a company which operates a mine in the African nation of Namibia — where he previously lived during his church mission and became fluent in Afrikaans. The company is among the world’s largest suppliers of nuclear fuel —- and partially owned by Iran.

A total of 468 seats in the U.S. Congress (33 Senate seats and all 435 House seats) are up for election on Nov. 6, 2018. Heading into the election, Republicans hold a 52 seat majority in the 100 member Senate. There will be several special election due to congressional resignations including Trent Franks, here in Arizona.

Like amnesty supporters McCain and Kyl, Flake had no trouble jumping on the amnesty train. In fact, he and McCain were the architects of the infamous Gang of 8 amnesty schemers. Flake cultivated a friendship with Barack Obama, traveling with him to Kenya and Cuba, and even promoting his lame duck appointment of Democrat Merrick Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court to fill the vacancy that occurred by the unexpected death of conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.  The election of Donald Trump put an end to that disastrous attempt. President Trump nominated Judge Neil Grosuch, who had earlier in his career clerked for Scalia. He was eventually confirmed.

Now we read that as a lame duck, with nothing to lose, Flake is back in the amnesty— a word he abhors — saddle again.

This important report by John Binder describes the trickery currently being engaged in by committed anti-Trump fanatic Jeff Flake. In the past, we’ve said he is aptly named. On further consideration, the moniker ‘Jeff the Snake’ is even more fitting.

Conservative Dr. Kelli Ward, formerly a two-term state senator, is running to replace Flake in the U.S. Senate and is deserving of our support. We can’t afford another mistake.

Joe Arpaio is a terrific guy and was a great Sheriff, but at age 85, he needs to enjoy retirement. He needs to support Kelli Ward!!

      Senate terms run six years.

    • East Valley Conservative says:

I’ve been a big fan of Joe Arpaio, but this is distressing. He’s going to take votes from Kelli Ward. Those of us who are lucky are granted plenty of years, and good health, but his time as an office holder has come and gone. He’s going to be 86 on his next birthday. He has entered a new phase in his life and it doesn’t include elective office.

Why would any American patriot be in favor of open borders, illegal immigration or amnesty?

    • Arizona Conservative Guy says:

Two reasons come to mind. Either they are not patriots or they are closet Democrats who want to ensure that party’s ranks are permanently swelled. That would be the ultimate result of the amnesty scheme.

Last night, President Trump attended the GA-AL college football game. He stood on the field, surrounded by members of the U.S. military, placed his hand over his heart, and joined in singing our National Anthem.
Projected onto the exterior of the stadium in illuminated lettering was the statement ‘F_ _ K TRUMP’

On January 26, it has been reported that a gala will be held in honor of Jeff Flake at the “edgy, sophisticated” Camby hotel (description per their own website).
Wouldn’t it be Fantastic Fun if Flake was greeted in a similar way?

Being from a border state, one would think that a “Republican” politician would know, first hand, what headaches and heartaches an open border causes – rancher murdered, Border Patrol murdered, and just plain dangerous for Americans to even go to certain areas of their own country along the border with Mexico. Flake and McCain are hated by conservatives across this country. They’ve done nothing to secure the border or discourage illegal aliens from coming here. This is probably the reason Joe Arpaio wants to run.

Flake would like a “realistic and bipartisan approach” to fix DACA. The man never stops. I can’t stand Pence for dragging this loser in for his same old two cents. I hope Trump doesn’t stray from his promise to the people. It will be foolish. The Left and the RINOs will still despise him and they’ll still want to impeach him.

  4. No doubt the very left-leaning miscreants who fear a Ward senate seat have coaxed Mr. Arpaio into running as the only way to defeat her. After the primary, they will turn to the Democratic opponent to offer a landslide of support. If you think Pres. Trump has been viciously attacked all this past year, it will not compare to the savagery lying in wait for our beloved sheriff. These artful dodgers will gladly wave g’bye to Uncle Joe, as he cannot possibly win, much less even finish, such a race.

  5. Conservative Since Birth says:

Seth & Chris on their radio show are saying that Sheriff Joe’s time is over and a race between Kelli Ward and Martha McSally would be a real race. My comment: He should sit in his easy chair and watch the battle on the TV news and send money to Kelli Ward.

    • Trevor says:

Seth and Chris are speaking truth, it really is gonna be McSally vs Ward, I mean Arpaio probably won’t last he must be using this to pay for legal bills.

Hmmm – He fires Steve Bannon and this happens.

    • Saguaro Sam says:

      Something to mull over:
The book about Trump and his inner circle which is causing all the hubbub may have been an orchestrated publication aimed to cause a division between Bannon and Trump.

How often can someone get a book so quickly published and on the shelves? How can an author publish something as being factual and now give interviews saying otherwise?

It was another set up by the Left.

      RE: Sheriff Joe.
      Can’t believe this.
He needs to stay close to home and
take care of his dear wife.

Flake: I Was ‘Surprised’ at President Trump’s ‘Flexibility’ During Immigration Meeting – Breitbart
    http://www.breitbart.com/video/2018/01/09/flake-i-was-surprised-at-president-trumps-flexibility-during-immigration-meeting/

Flake said, “I went in with pretty low expectations. You don’t put 22 people around the table and expect to really negotiate, and we’re at a point now where we really need to negotiate. But I was surprised that when the cameras left at the president’s flexibility on the matter, and that he actually went in and explained what he meant by a wall and border security, and that’s helpful. It really is.”

I’m dying of curiosity as to what’s going on. If Flake’s “surprised” and I heard CNN is “happy” – I need to know what Trump’s doing.
