Goldwater Institute: AZ teacher strike, school closures illegal

Actions violate students’ right to education

Watch Timothy Sandefur, VP for Litigation at the Goldwater institute:

This is the letter Sandefur sent Friday to school district superintendents throughout the state of Arizona, advising them of their constitutional obligation and consequences of failure to comply.

School closures occurred Thursday and Friday and are threatened to continue on Monday in conjunction with the illegal teacher strike. More than 800,000 students are being deprived of their constitutional right to an education.

Seeing Red AZ hopes the Goldwater Institute moves forward and prevails against the extremist, thuggish tactics of the now emboldened, overwhelmingly leftist teachers unions and their dues paying members.

It is never a wise policy to negotiate with, or capitulate to, terrorists. The #REDSforED thugs fall into that category. Gov. Doug Ducey, more interested in his future political aspirations than doing what’s right, has shown himself to be weak and ineffective by acquiescing to their demands. As they’ve upped the ante from a hefty 20% raise to launching a ballot measure put together by the radical, Chicago-based Center for Economic Progress, totax the rich,’ their socialist agenda is clear.

Know this: It’s not about “the children.”

Please do not think for a minute that these demonstrations were organic. It was planned. Why else would the Gov come straight out of the box offering such a generous raise and Then It’s Still NOT ENOUGH. Tactics to keep you focused on the wrong story.

Every parent scrambling to make arrangements for child care so that the parents can go to work. That will Definitely keep your Mind Elsewhere. Timing is everything.

The Soros puppet HAS to resign. He hid under the cover of health issues, buying time. So while DeuceCoup dances with the teachers union in the public eye, in private there are negotiations ongoing (testicles being twisted, OUCH) to name a replacement.

WE NEED TO FIND OUR VOICES.

Now, certain members of Congress have Finally been given thousands of emails and correspondence between the members of the cabal. AND IT’S BAD. VERY, VERY BAD.

Why do you think that so many members of Congress have announced their exit from D.C.? If they Really thought that our President was going to be Impeached, wouldn’t they have stayed to gloat? No, they know that Trump knows. He’s got it All. Very Serious Stuff. The worst. Everything from A to M to P to S to T. Crime Syndicate on steroids.

(Have you read Any of the thousands of pages of the JFK files released recently? Luckily, Smith Corona typewriters had no “delete” keys.
    Here’s a couple eye-openers:
Detailed FIBBERS plans to frame MLK with fraud. Who knew that the Fibbers had a “Rumor Unit”?
Specific plans to turn black people against him.

And, Wow, just Wow that a certain intel agency had a “false flag officer” (name shown on internals) whose job it was to plan ff’s.

    TODAY:
In Baku, Azerbaijun, a hotel that Trump bought in 2012 (after it had sat uncompleted for years)is ablaze. Another fire.
They’ll set the world on fire to save their black hats. After all, they are all-in for population control anyway.

How do you introduce evidence to prove this into the justice system? Maybe allow Gen Flynn to be interviewed, then charged Maybe allow Michael Cohen’s residences and offices be raided (remember that once upon a time, Cohen represented HRC in a certain matter, oops) Everything is connected, worldwide.

There is SO MUCH $$$$$$$$ sitting in foreign bank accounts belonging to the ones who sold US (us) that we could build a 20 foot wall around the country and still have money to spare. Trust our President and the U.S. Marines.
And pray for all of them. You have No Idea.

    Semper Gumby.

  2. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

It’s a shame when Republican voters can’t count on elected Republicans to act responsibly. Doug Ducey has become the poster child for reckless capitulation. After it was reported that he increased the salaries of approximately 40 members his staff, he might have thought he had no option but to surrender to the union demands. Tens of thousands of teachers are not even remotely in the same category. He should have said that. But instead, he gave in and as we’ve seen in the past few days, it was not and will never be enough to satisfy the union teachers.

Anyone who has raised children knows that giving into tantrums creates brats.

  3. Dennis O'Brien says:

God bless attorney Timothy Sandefur, for this stellar legal response to the marauding, union directed teachers. I sincerely hope he will move forward, because it’s clear their demands will continue to be ever more aggressive. I personally know two families who are withdrawing their children from their local government school. There are undoubtedly many others. What responsible, thinking parent would ever trust their children’s teachers again?

WILLIAMS: Educational Fraud Continues | Daily Wire
    https://www.dailywire.com/news/29989/williams-educational-fraud-continues-walter-e-williams

    From the excellent article:
“Earlier this month, the 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress, aka The Nation’s Report Card, was released. It’s not a pretty story. Only 37 percent of 12th-graders tested proficient or better in reading, and only 25 percent did so in math. Among black students, only 17 percent tested proficient or better in reading, and just 7 percent reached at least a proficient level in math.”

    Final paragraph:
“I’m not sure about what can be done about education. But the first step toward any solution is for the American people to be aware of academic fraud at every level of education.”

Thanks for the link to the Walter Williams column. He’s a brilliant economist and conservative in the manner of Thomas Sowell, who at nearly 90 has unfortunately retired. Both men rose from desperately poor backgrounds, to highly educated, conservative chroniclers of the dilapidated education system and its purveyors, the union teachers. Both lamented the poor conditions in inner city schools and the dire effects on black youth. Teachers no longer teach. They soft pedal their way to retirement by telling us how hard they work, when in fact they work far less than the rest of us who have fulltime jobs and don’t have unions to advise us on how to sock it to our bosses, in this case the taxpaying citizens.

I join in hoping the Goldwater Institute is successful in is effort to rein in the out of control educrats.

    • Villanova says:

Williams calls much of the education establishment and their “standards” a fraud. He’s absolutely right! Try discussing current events or American history with a teenager. They can’t write, they don’t read, they can’t even count back change from a five when they are manning the cash register at a store. They look at the screen and painstakingly dig he change of the drawer and then dump it in the customer’s hand with the receipt.

  5. Simply Karen says:

Ever since Obama became president everything decent was lost. Obama and his cronies favorite area was education. They developed Obama-core or as we know it, common-core. A pure indoctrinating curriculum that has turned our educational standards up-side-down. Unfortunately, our Az. state accepted common-core with open arms and the carrot-waving Federal dollars. This teachers strike only exposed the real intentions of the liberal teachers and their unions. The public school system has failed, and the only recourse is to take your children out of the system. There are other options to educating our children. If parents really care about their children they will find the right direction for their children.
