Obvious cracks in AZ Corp. Com. candidate Glassman

Rodney Glassman is a ‘Class A’ phony who should not be trusted with a seat on the Corporation Commission which sets rates on AZ’s public utilities

Rodney Glassman is determined to tell to Arizona voters he’s the “conservative” running for a seat on the Arizona Corporation Commission. His signs are emblazoned with the word and his auto dialers blithely toss it around as an identifier. But the Democrat who opportunistically switches political parties with the same ease the rest of us change our underwear, has shown himself as a facile master of chicanery, who blithely places expediency above principle.

With chutzpah oozing from every pore, Glassman submitted a commentary to the Scottsdale Independent, in which he grandly announces,  “There’s a crisis of integrity at the Arizona Corporation Commission…”  That this man, who doesn’t know the meaning of the word, uses it glibly to define others is preposterous.

SRAZ wrote this revealing post about Glassman, March 16, 2018, titled, “Opportunist ex-Dem Glassman now GOP Corp. Com. Candidate.” It includes a link to the stellar expose of Glassman by investigative reporter Linda Bentley writing for the conservative Sonoran News. She exposed Glassman in this June 2017 report:Recycled Democrat Rodney Glassman running as Republican for ACC.

Bentley wrote, “Hailing as a progressive Democrat at the time, Glassman was a former legislative aide for U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, a far-left Democrat and advocate of open borders with Mexico.” Seeing Red AZ posted about Grijalva settling a $48,395 “severance package” in 2015 with one of his top staffers who threatened a lawsuit claiming he was frequently drunk and created a hostile workplace environment.

Perennial candidate Glassman has previously declared, that if elected, he would model his service after Grijalva, who called for an economic boycott of Arizona in protest of SB1070, which passed in 2010 and required police to determine the immigration status of someone arrested or detained when there is reasonable suspicion they are illegally present in the country. That most hotly contested provision of the law was subsequently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Adding to the collection of Glassman exposes is this latest one, “Rodney the Ungood,” by Joel Feinman, a Tucson criminal defense attorney who teaches justice studies at the UofA. Feinman’s article appeared in the June 10, edition of the Pima Liberator. Each of the reports are chock full of information about the smarmy Rodney Glassman.

Most shocking is the con he has pulled on elected Republicans— all of whom should know better — yet have endorsed this political opportunist, who has shown himself to be totally devoid of principles.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery, a Republican, whose name is now missing from the endorsement list, is inexplicably still listed on filing documents as Glassman’s campaign chairman.

The actual conservative candidate in the race is Jim O’Connor. Check out his website by clicking on his name.

  1. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

As stated in this revealing article and series of links,(which I have yet to finish reading, but will make doing so a priority) Rodney Glassman is a slippery opportunist, He’s every bit as much a chameleon as liberal Kyrsten Sinema who has no party identifier on her ads or signs and has morphed from a radical leftist to a soft spoken, bi-partisan “moderate.” Like Glassman, she will do and say whatever it takes to get reelected. In her case it’s even more of a disaster, since the U.S. Senate confirms Supreme Court justices. She will vote to block anyone President Trump nominates. Don’t be fooled by either of these deceitful liberals. Glassman and Sinema are both lying through their teeth.

Thanks, SRAZ, for the in-depth information.
    How else would we know?

    Meanwhile, Something nice happened.
Remember when Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her young family were given the bum’s rush by the Lefty restaurant owner in Lexington, Va a few week ago?
Yesterday, Ms. Sanders accompanied President and Mrs. Trump to Windsor Castle to meet the queen. And Sarah was served tea by the queen’s staff there in Windsor Castle.
(so, cluck you Red Hen Lefty)

The queen chose to give our President just 48 minutes of her time.
48 minutes at Windsor. Prince Harry and Prince William refused to attend and were, instead, watching tennis balls bounce back and forth at Wimbledon. They’ll need President Trump one day.
Obama got a State dinner at Buckingham Palace. And complete devotion from Harry and Wills.

Please pray to God for safety and protection for our President; his family; his loyal team and our U.S. Military.

Risk assessments revealed that the UK is the #1 spot in the “civilized world” where our President is in the most danger.

  3. State Delegate says:

Omitting the “GL” from Glassman’s last name would give a more accurate description of this political opportunist. Why any Republicans would endorse or support him in any way is beyond my comprehension. I’m making a list of those people and will withhold my votes from them. They are willing to sell us down the river in this very important AZCC race making them deserving of receiving our ballot ire,

  4. Trevor says:

Glassman reminds me of Senator Cindy Hyde Smith from Mississippi. She was a longtime dem until the tea party wave forced her to switch cause she would not be elected. Oh…and she voted for Hillary in 2008!

  5. Rob Haney. says:

I read the list of Glassman’s endorsers. Brenda Barton, Karen Fann, Barbara Leff, Denny Barney, David Livingston, Michele Reagan, Sal DiCiccio,
Jay Lawrence, Noel Campbell, T.J. Shope, Doug Coleman, Maria Syms, Heather Carter, Becky Nutt, Sylvia Allen, Kelly Townsend, etc.

What a total, utter disgrace. Is it any wonder why we have RINO legislation coming out of our state legislature with Republicans endorsing an extreme leftist. No wonder AZ is considered easy pickings for going Blue.

    • East Valley Conservative says:

These Glassman endorsers are all major disappointments. And what the hell is Bill Montgomery thinking? He can’t still be taking his marching orders from obviously diminished McCain, but is probably looking to a future run when he will need to have some red meat to throw at the Dems to entice them to vote for him. “Look, I was Rodney Glassman’s campaign chairman!”

That’s the best I can come up with, since taking this oversight position on Glassman’s campaign is beyond screwy. There’s got to be something in it for him.

    • East Valley Conservative says:

PS Montgomery’s Yavapai County counterpart, Sheila Polk, is also a Glassman endorser.

      • Saguaro Sam says:

She was a State Asst AG during the Grant Woods years and she lived in Maricopa Co. In the environmental crimes unit. big yawn.
Supposedly, her father-in-law is/was a mover and shaker in Yavapai legal circles. And, like magic, she relocates to Yavapai and ascends the throne.

    • Observer says:

Polk’s mother-in-law is now concealed as an “Independent.” She was previously an active Democrat. Polk’s son was hired by Montgomery.
