Higher education reaches its nadir*

Illegal invaders now charity recipients, courtesy of Berkeley

Gone are the days when a university degree was indicative of attaining a higher education. Nurtured in a curriculum of liberal indoctrination from the earliest grades, students are pawns in an ideological crusade. This appalling example from Edina, Minnesota is not an anomaly, but is reflective of teaching throughout the United States.

Is it any wonder that by the time the barely out of wet-diaper toddlerdom, kindergartners are propagandized, matriculating as brainwashed high school students, ultimately reaching institutions such as Berkeley or Princeton, they engage in full-throated lunacy?

The student government at the University of California, Berkeley, “voted to financially fund the migrant caravan in a resolution passed by the student senate,” as Breitbart reported. “US imperialism and white colonialism has been implemented in Central American countries,” said a teary-eyed student, adding that she would be ashamed to see anyone in the student senate vote against funding the migrant caravan. Once again students illiterate of history accuse anyone they disagree with as being “Nazis,” although there are no brutal labor camps with ovens specially constructed for humans or gas streaming from shower heads, killing men, women and children given bars of soap to make the victims more compliant. Janet Napolitano, formerly Arizona’s radically leftist governor and Obama’s appointee as a worthless Homeland Security chieftain, is now the president of the University of California system.

On the East coast, Princeton sophomore Noa Wollstein was so offended by the “toxic masculinity” expressed in the song, “Kiss the Girl,” she was moved to write to the student newspaper, The Daily Princetonian to complainShe declared the Disney song performed by an all-male a cappella group, the Princeton Tigertones, was misogynistic and dismissive of consent. In the cartoon film, The little Mermaid, it is sung by Sebastian a talking crab, urging him to kiss Ariel, the little mermaid.

“Remove the context of magic and mermaids,” Wollstein wrote, “and the lyrics blatantly encourage a man to try to make physical advances on a woman without her consent.”

FrontPage mag exposed, “Another week of leftist lunacy,” writing, “One worrying illustration of this comes from – none other than – the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) with, chapters at more than 500 universities and colleges throughout the U.S. According to Campus Reform, the AAUP is urging its members to combat legislative proposals meant for “the protection of free speech” on campus.”

Imagine that?

* That’s ‘rock bottom’ for those of you who graduated from an Ivy League school.

I have gone through life extremely grateful for parents who generously put me through a private high school that provided the best English education money could possibly have bought – no need for an asterisk on words like “nadir” for me! :) This school’s ZENITH of curriculum also strongly encouraged and promoted independent thought and helped provide me with the discernment to detect a lot of liberal bovine excrement with which the professors at my “Catholic” university later attempted to shovel me. The importance of keeping one’s children shielded from the cesspool of public so-called “schools” cannot possibly be overstated.

You were among the fortunate ones, although as you so well point out the parochial universities run by Jesuits are bastions of liberalism. Remember when Notre Dame invited the pro-abortion President Barack Obama as commencement speaker and recipient of an honorary degree, despite student’s protests?

In 2001, Obama was the only Illinois senator who rose to speak against a bill that would have protected babies who survived late term abortions. Obama objected stating if the bill passed, and a nine-month-old fetus survived a late-term labor-induced abortion was deemed to be a person who had a right to live, then the law would “forbid abortions to take place.” Obama stated the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment does not allow the killing of a child, so if the law deemed a child who survived a late-term labor-induced abortion had a right to live, “then this would be an anti-abortion statute.”

Since this post mentions Janet Napolitano (it’s for the children—for the children—all about the children) as she used to bellow when she was AZAG and the Gov., and responses here are about right to life:
Please, do not turn away from this:

This is what is happening, worldwide.

President Trump and Jeff Sessions and thousands of U.S. military operatives have been working on this matter of human smuggling (and much, much worse) since day 1 of his presidency. They hit the ground running because of what they already knew.

You can go to the global incident map for human smuggling and see it as the arrests and raids unfold daily around the world.
The reasons that this continues to happen would make you ill.

        Yes, JayNo, we know. . . .

Please pray for good to defeat evil.

Saguaro Sam asks us to pray to GOD to defeat evil. God helps those who help themselves. GOD will give us a way but we need to do the work.

    Stanford University:

The Sigma Chi fraternity was on probation last year. So the fraternity tried to improve its image with the university so that the probation would be lifted and the fraternity be allowed to continue.

According to senior Pablo Lozano, class of 2018, as well as other students who asked not to be named, a Stanford University administrator “encouraged” Sigma Chi to take down the American flag flown in front of its house in order to improve its image on campus.

To Sigma Chi’s credit, the fraternity not only declined to remove the American flag from its house, they replaced it with an even bigger one — from a 3×5 ft. flag to a 4×6 ft. flag. The former flag was then framed and placed on display inside the house. In Lozano’s words, Sigma Chi’s decision was a “silent but visible protest” against the classification of the American flag as a potentially stigmatizing symbol by a member of the Stanford administration.

    And the upshot?

Sigma Chi is gone. The fraternity was shut down last May and no longer exists at Stanford University.

(However, the university administrators had No problem with the Dominican flag flown by a student from his bedroom window. And No problem with a Palestinian flag hung across the street at another frat house.)

The Stanford Review had the story.

This is the audio of Obama arguing for denial of care to a baby born alive during a late term abortion. It did not dissuade the liberals at Catholic Notre Dame University, where religious teachings about the sanctity of life take a back seat to liberalism.

Prominent pro-abortion Catholic politicians include Nancy Pelosi, the entire Kennedy Clan, Joe Biden, Kathleen Sebelius, John Kerry, Susan Collins.

And we look at Liggett as our best investment in you. One of your teachers (I believe Mrs. Von Ryan) said she couldn’t keep you interested and challenged because she had to spend so much time bringing slower students up to grade level. I’m ever thankful for Janet MacKenzie’s recommendation.

Hillsdale college is the only one I know of that doesn’t take federal money and doesn’t indoctrinate but actually educates students.
