Our interest was piqued Monday by a comment on SRAZ linking to this Breitbart report. To call it disturbing would be the height of understatement. Cloak and dagger mysteries have more light directed on them than HR.1044. (Text).
This list, with Democrats first, followed by go-along to get-along Republicans, details who signed on to U.S. House Leftist Zoe Lofgren’s Green Card Giveaway Act. The bill authorizes expansion of the importation of college-educated Green Card workers, mainly from India, who will displace American citizens with college degrees and new grads who have trained and gone into debt obtaining their educations.
We expect to see AZ Democrats Ruben Gallego, Ann Kirkpatick, Tom O’Halleran and Greg Stanton signing on to this unprincipled legislation, though surprisingly Raul Grijalva‘s name was missing. But seeing Arizona Republicans Debbie Lesko and David Schweikert, canoodling on this bill with the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortz, Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler was jarring.
Jessica M. Vaughan, Director of Policy Studies for Washington based Center for Immigration Studies, notes “House Democrats reportedly are trying to pass the bill on the Consensus Calendar, which allows the bill to pass on a fast track without a hearing or rule for amendments.” The bullet points on her brief but informative fact sheet, are must reads.
Jon Miano, writing for CIS, provides an overview, referring to the “Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act,” as misnamed — calling it out as “dishonest.”
The vote was scheduled to take place Monday. Attempting to research who voted aye or nay dead-ended. Pertinent information is under wraps.
Earlier this year, Rep. Zoe Lofgren and Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced the Agricultural Worker Program Act (H.R. 641) intended to “shield farm workers from deportation and put them on a path toward earned legal status and eventual citizenship.”
Democrats view illegal aliens as a powerful voting bloc, which is why they are in the forefront of normalizing their illegitimate status, with sanctuary cities and offering them free health care and taxpayer-funded social benefits — as if they needed inducements. This amounts to unsustainable lunacy.
In 2017, the fiscal burden of illegal immigration was factored at $216 Billion yearly in this report compiled by the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
On average the U.S. generously admits a million legal immigrants yearly. We have a right, as well as an obligation to our own citizens, to control our borders and determine who enters. The recent caravans of hundred of thousands of Central Americans invaders given access by Mexico, only stopped when President Trump threatened imposing tariffs against Mexican imports. He was widely assailed by the left for his stance, but it worked. Now congress is engaging in a devious end run.
