Joe Biden’s wife takes cue from McCain’s mother

August 21, 2019

Jill Biden advises Dems to “swallow a little bit,” not to look for the best candidate, but one who can “beat Trump”

John McCain was a distinctly unpopular presidential candidate in both 2000 and 2008. Like Bob Dole, who also lost his bid in 1996, the longtime senators — misreading the Republican base — considered the presidency their “due.”

In 2008, John’s mother, Roberta McCain, became known for her advice to reticent voters, essentially recommending, “Hold your nose and vote for Johnny.”

Fast forward to 2019. Speaking of her gaffe-prone husband, perennial presidential candidate Joe Biden, Jill Biden gave a bizarre reason for supporting him in the crowded Democrat primary election field. Biden unsuccessfully sought the presidency in 1988 and 2008.

“I know that not all of you are committed to my husband, and I respect that. But I want you to think about your candidate and who’s going to win this race.”

Dispensing an unusual bit of candor, Jill Biden also said that Democrats’ goals should not be to elect the best person for president, but to defeat Trump.

“My goal is to beat Donald Trump,” Mrs. Biden said. “We have to have someone who can beat him. So if you look at the polls, if you look at Joe with his record with independents…your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, health care than Joe is. But you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election. And maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘OK, I personally like so-and-so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.”

AZ jury awards Planned Parenthood informant $3M

August 20, 2019

Victory for life in Arizona!

It’s always been mystifying that a group that exists primarily to slaughter pre-born human babies could call itself Planned Parenthood. The abhorrent concept is analogous to Auschwitz, a notorious Nazi death camp, blandly referring to itself a care center.

There is some good news, however, concerning the abortion mill. LifeSiteNews reports:

An Arizona jury has unanimously awarded $3 million in damages to a former Planned Parenthood director who was fired after reporting an abortionist’s illegal conduct and high complication rates, falsification of affidavits and patient records, incomplete abortions, and failure to report statutory rape.

Mayra Rodriguez, who ran three Planned Parenthood clinics in Arizona and worked for the organization for 17 years, sued after being wrongfully terminated from her position in October 2017 for repeatedly reporting that Planned Parenthood was endangering the health and safety of its patients, according to And Then There Were None (ATTWN), a non-profit that helps former abortion workers leave the industry.

Rodriguez’ lawyer, Tim Casey, hadn’t asked the jury for any dollar amount during the trial. Yet after only three hours of deliberation, the jury unanimously awarded her $3 million in damages following the two-week trial, which ended last Friday, August 16, 2019.

Bryan Howard, president of Planned Parenthood Arizona, was reported to be “disappointed” with the verdict.

Just like Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life advocate, Rodriguez won Employee of the Year the year before she left. Johnson now runs ATTWN.

“I’ve stared down Planned Parenthood in court. I know how hard it is watching your friends lie about you,” said Johnson. “It’s always good to take down Planned Parenthood but it’s not without hurt.”

Johnson’s conversion story is told in the movie. “Unplanned,” which as of August 7, 2019 made $18.9 million after being produced with a $6 million budget, according to boxofficemojo.com. The movie just became available on DVD and was the top selling film on Amazon on the day of its release.

“When Mayra came to And Then There Were None with her incredible story, I felt solidarity with her, having gone through a similar situation when I worked for Planned Parenthood. Standing with her through the trial and rejoicing in the ultimate victory has been amazing,” said Johnson.

The abuses Rodriguez documented are serious. Complications from abortions can result in severe, permanent health problems for women — even death. Incomplete abortions can similarly cause serious health problems for the mothers in whose uteruses parts of their aborted unborn babies are left. ATTWN didn’t specify how old the minor was whose sexual relationship with an adult Planned Parenthood covered up, but the age of consent in Arizona is 18.

And Then There Were None, is a ministry founded by Abby Johnson that has helped more than 500 abortion workers leave their jobs.

Abby Johnson will be the keynote speaker at the next Arizona for Life March & Rally on January 18, 2020. Find out more about Arizona’s biggest pro-life event here.

Drag Queen Story Hour: Libraries dedicated to corruption of our kids

August 19, 2019

Perversion being taught as the new normal to America’s children

Remember when libraries were havens for learning and study? In school we learned the Dewey Decimal System of cataloging, to read for pleasure and to expand our base of knowledge. Libraries, whether city owned or housed in our schools, provided a window to the world.

Today that window reeks of lunacy and is steeped in perversion. The American Library Association (ALA) through its Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) division, including the Intellectual Freedom Committee, promotes “continuing education programs” for children. The ALA provides guidelines on promoting this depraved agenda.

This American Library Association link and quote is today’s new reality:

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions…”

That paragraph is an example from the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) self identified as “a network of more than 4,000 children’s and youth librarians, children’s literature experts, publishers, education and library school faculty members, and other adults committed to improving and ensuring the future of the nation through exemplary library service to children.”

Interested in bringing Drag Queen Story Time to your library? At its annual convention, ALSC committee members “received tips for optimizing success from library pioneers who have already done it. We also had the chance to meet a Drag Queen who talked about the value of offering this program, including fostering empathy, tolerance, creativity, imagination and fun.”

This video features very young children being indoctrinated by a man dressed as a woman, teaching them about “gender fluidity.” The children, not more than toddlers, come away from the indoctrination thinking that the story was about “being nice to other people.”

Parents and grandparents must pay attention. This is not the world in which we grew up. Leftism carries a disturbed agenda that includes more than radical politics.

Anti-Trump press gears up for 2020 election

August 17, 2019

Media afflicted by Trump Derangement Syndrome

Editor & Publisher provides an inside look at how the press intends to cover the 2020 Presidential election.

The pathetic 2019 quarterbacking report is filled with recriminations over not giving enough significance to Donald Trump’s emergence on the political scene and the press’ assumptions that he was nothing more than an annoying gnat on the backside of the anointed donkey-rider Hillary Clinton.

Absent is the fact that American citizens were energized by his MAGA message and fed up with scandal-plagued Hillary, who arrogantly dismissed us as a “basket of deplorables.” The equally arrogant press’ most colossal blunder was misreading the electorate, whom they regarded as easily duped by their incessant left-wing coverage.

Realizations of the massive awakening across America was a pill too difficult to swallow. Voters heard a compelling message from the political novice New York businessman. There was an unmistakable authentic clarity to his message.  Hillary’s fate was sealed as reports trickled out of her involvement in the destruction of thousands of emails when they were under congressional subpoena and preservation orders. A practiced charlatan, she blatantly lied about the attacks resulting in the deaths of four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador, at the embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Prior to the Presidential debate, her cohort Donna Brazile — a political strategist and former DNC chair — using her position as a CNN commentator, fed the questions in advance to Hillary Clinton’s campaign. These are merely tip-of-the-iceberg corruptions in which Hillary engaged.

Meanwhile Donald Trump was building a loyal base raising the issues that resonate with Americans from coast to coast. Since being elected he has gone to work fulfilling his promises and has overseen the lowest unemployment rates in decades. The economy is soaring and he’s nominated two justices to the U.S. Supreme Court and many others to the federal district benches.

Editor & Publisher erroneously concludes, “Disillusioned voters blamed the press for a failure to present Trump as a viable nominee, let alone as their likely future president. Some declared that journalists missed the story of the Trump voter entirely.”

The publication either doesn’t comprehend the enormity of President Trump’s energized base or chooses to ignore it. Despite the leftist press’ irrational excuses, and predictions to the contrary, Americans won  (video) and will again in 2020.

Associated Press out of the BDS anti-Israel closet

August 16, 2019

This deceptive Associated Press headline, “Israel bans entry to outspoken US congresswomen,” should have read, “Israel bans entry to virulently anti-Semitic US congresswomen.”  The intentionally misleading word parsing clearly displays the media’s skewed bent, which it no longer attempts to conceal.

Far-left freshmen Democrats Reps. Rashida Tlaib (MI) and Ilhan Omar (MN), both Muslim members of congress, support the Palestinian-led BDS movement which advocates boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israeli businesses, products, universities and cultural institutions.

National Review recently headlined its revealing report:Omar to Introduce Resolution Declaring Support for Anti-Israel BDS Movement.” On Thursday Omar ludicrously accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of imposing a “Muslim ban,” declaring, “It is an affront that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, under pressure from President Trump, would deny entry to representatives of the U.S. government.”

Arizona Sen. Martha McSally, who prior to retiring from the Air Force as a full Colonel, was deployed in the Middle East and supports President Trump’s resolve on the issue.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who said his country is “open to critics and criticism,” noted that Tlaib and Omar’s itinerary for the trip “revealed that they planned a visit whose sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us and deny Israel’s legitimacy.”

Omar, who PJ Media reported engaged in a marriage with her own brother to perpetrate immigration and student loan fraud, irrationally stated, “Trump’s Muslim ban is what Israel is implementing, this time against two duly elected members of Congress.”

The women, members of what has been described as the congressional “Squad,” routinely refer to the sole democracy in the Middle East in the most derogatory of terms, and, for good measure, condemn President Trump. Omitted from their anti-Semitic tirade is the inconvenient fact that since the formation of the state of Israel in 1948, there have been Arabic members of the Knesset, the legislative body similar to the U.S. Congress. They have been Muslim, Druze, and Christian.

The U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, endorsed the decision to ban Tlaib and Omar, saying Israel “has every right to protect its borders” against promoters of boycotts.

Illegal aliens: The stark realities

August 15, 2019

A favorite cliché is “they’re just coming to do the jobs Americans refuse to do.”

We’ve heard the mantra incessantly over the years. The open-borders/amnesty influence peddlers on the left have been phenomenally successful at getting the Beltway elite and the media to embrace their blanket platitudes about illegal alien invaders. In fact the term itself has been declared verboten by none other than Associated Press.

The deceit surges as elections near. Democrats exploit the issue to lay the groundwork for embracing a racial divide they hope will benefit them. Presidential candidates and U.S. Senators Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, both part of this leftist horde of two dozen challenging President Trump, are vowing to create a White House office to combat “white supremacy” and hate crimes if elected.

Ignored are the vicious crimes perpetrated by illegal aliens.

This headline is a recent example: Illegal alien impregnates 11-year-old Phoenix girl.

Child rapist Carlos Jacinto Cobo-Perez must have been inspired by Enrique Jacobo-Valdez, another illegal alien with a proclivity for 11-year-olds.

Mauricio Berrar-Navidad, 29, and Carlos Palacios-Amaya, 28, both in the United States illegally, though previously deported, repeatedly raped an 11-year-old child in Maryland.

Fidel Lopez, boasting a sixth-grade education preferred raping a small dog, which subsequently had to be euthanized.

United States Illegal Alien Crime Report is filled with recent crimes committed by illegal aliens. The wide variety of criminal categories includes: Terrorism, Assault, Murder, Cop Killings. Drug Crimes, Rape, Children, DUIs, Identity Theft and Most Wanted. Spend some time on the site for a dose of harsh reality.

Don’t be conned by the open borders leftists. President Trump is right. Our sieve-like border must be secured. The safety of American citizens takes precedence over misguided and dangerous political correctness.

2020 Presidential Election: Crucial facts, your vital role

August 14, 2019

it’s a good bet that even those who consider themselves politically astute wouldn’t be able to name many of the seemingly endless list of increasingly radical 2020 Democrat presidential candidates.

Our focus is on reelecting President Donald J. Trump, whose first term accomplishments* have exceeded the expectations of even his most ardent supporters.

Fox News provides this wide-ranging site to keep us informed on nearly every aspect of the political scene with continually updated information. The compilations include a national map detailing where candidates have been on the campaign trail, and how much they’ve raised in campaign contributions — with President Trump prominently topping the list.

What is most significant is the populist president’s support among small dollar donors. In a powerful show of strength, he’s even doing surprisingly well in leftist California, the Times of San Diego reports. Sixty-one percent of contributions raised directly by the Trump campaign this election cycle has come from small donors (donations under $200), according to Federal Election Commission figures.

The map shows the states he’s visited recently. Under campaign visits is a box labeled “Heat Map of All Candidates,” which includes a pull down list of candidates. President Trump is definitely connecting with his base.

He’s doing his job. We need to do ours.

It’s vitally important we recruit GOP precinct committeemen to ensure the president’s reelection. Precinct committeemen (PCs) can be appointed until they are elected during primaries in their own neighborhoods and are integral in getting the vote out. There is no campaigning for the unsalaried, but essential job that is an influential voice for freedom.  Any questions can be answered here.

Aging small fry used against Bill Montgomery’s Supreme Court appt

August 13, 2019

There’s a new, albeit pathetic arrow, in the quiver of the leftist newspaper’s relentless campaign to scuttle Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery’s appointment to the Arizona Supreme Court. Since Montgomery made the short list, the partisan war against him has revved into high gear.

Gov. Doug Ducey has approximately 6 weeks to name the replacement to the seat of recently retired state Supreme Court Justice John Pelander.

Republican Montgomery was initially elected to lead the prosecutor’s office in the nation’s fourth most populous county in 2010, bringing a résumé of impressive credentials. A West Point graduate, decorated Gulf War veteran, former deputy county attorney and a professional prosecutor, he has dedicated his personal and professional life to serving others.

Though Montgomery’s credentials makes others pale in comparison, he has attracted a distinctly marginal detractor described in the newspaper’s Page One headline as a “son.” For a man in his 60s that’s more of a put-down than what he’s maliciously trying to serve to Montgomery. The “son” is the grandpa-aged child of former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. A RINO apple who didn’t fall far from his maternal tree — Sandra O’Connor reveled in being the swing vote frequently siding with the high court’s Democrats — Scott  thinks Montgomery is “too political” to be an effective Arizona Supreme Court Justice — an absurdity on it’s face.

Prior to Scott’s mother being appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, she also had a “political career.” Sandra O’Connor campaigned and was elected to the Arizona state senate, and later (prior to the current system of judicial selection) campaigned, ran and won a seat on the Maricopa County Superior Court as a Republican. But she was sufficiently left-leaning enough for liberal Democrat Bruce Babbitt, that the then-governor appointed her to the Arizona Court of Appeals in 1979. That fact alone should have given President Reagan pause.

Unfortunately, she was able to con President Reagan who nominated her as the first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court, where she delighted in being the swing vote, regularly aligning with Democrats. Reagan knew the O’Connor’s as friends of his Arizona in-laws.

In 2012, O’Connor’s son was the appropriately distrusted GOP Legislative District 28 chairman. At the time SRAZ wrote,Dist. 28 (formerly 11) recertifies its RINO status Update: O’Connor responds.”

Venomous column signals bent of Republic’s new ownership

August 11, 2019

The steady decline of the Hillary-endorsing Arizona Republic appears to have exacerbated with its recent acquisition by Gatehouse. The newspaper was actually founded in 1890 as the Arizona Republican, a name it kept for nearly half a century. Later, the then-conservative newspaper flourished under the ownership of Eugene and Nina Pulliam, changing its direction after their deaths.

The best indication of the course being taken is the massive photo of an elephant’s backside atop this headline: “I leave GOP as it turns its back on what it stood for.”

The “Your Turn guest column,” a shifty vehicle for securing free editorials, is written by a Mesa immigration lawyer with the incongruous name of Yasser Sanchez. A dichotomy of complexities, he’s also a graduate of BYU.

As our astute readers have likely guessed, President Donald Trump is at the core of Sanchez’ complaints. Among Sanchez’ litany of criticisms is what he refers to by the left’s favored contrived term of “nativism.” “Nationalism,” a reliable indicator of love of country and patriotism is also the recipient of his ire. According to Sanchez, such feelings are pejoratives.

The lawyer needs to revisit our nation’s founding documents. Included in his litany of things that “sicken him” are the freedoms delineated in the Second Amendment. He is also “repulsed” by President Trump.

Sanchez, who says he came to the United States as a child with his parents doesn’t clarify if they entered legally, but he misuses the termundocumented immigrantswhen describing illegal aliens, the legally correct, precise term used by the U.S. Supreme Court.  The high court has decided numerous cases involving federal immigration law using “illegal alien” — as Hans von Spakovsky, Senior Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation, capably points out in this brief column.

Sanchez also has an aversion to the term “invasion,” though it would be interesting to know what he calls hundreds of thousands of people who illegally breach our sovereign border on their way to accessing American taxpayer funded benefits while flipping off border agents.

As pointed out in this Media Research Center’s now older though still accurate report,The Liberal Media: Every Poll Shows Journalists Are More Liberal than the American Public — And the Public Knows It.”

The policy of insulting its few remaining readers that brought Gannett and the industry to it’s knees, is obviously the path the that will be followed by the newspaper’s new ownership.

If you still subscribe, save your money. The insults will keep coming.  Why fund them?
