At their core — assuming they have one — Democrat politicos know President Donald Trump has done nothing to warrant impeachment. They’ve used every trick in the book, from bogus Russian and Chinese collusion, to Ukrainian quid pro quo dealings, which recently morphed into Godfather-like “extortion and bribery,” after deciding to “ditch the Latin,” in a futile effort to gain traction in their attempts to oust the duly elected Republican President. Nothing sticks, because there is no ‘there,’ there.
Adding urgency to their deception, the Dems are up against an 86-year old ticking time bomb whose fuse is primed to ignite. Former ACLU lawyer Ruth Bader Ginsburg was nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court by Bill Clinton. Her 1993 senate confirmation vote was nearly unanimous, with only three Republicans voting in opposition. When it suited his purpose, John McCain claimed to be pro-life. Ginsburg clearly was not, McCain voted in support of her confirmation.
Ginsburg has never hidden her contempt for the U.S. Constitution, as evidenced by this 2012 suggestion (brief video) to Egyptian revolutionaries.
Nearing 90, she has undergone repeated, serious bouts of lung, stomach and pancreatic cancers requiring surgeries and lengthy radiation treatments. Earlier this month, she missed Supreme Court oral arguments due to a stomach infection and previously, due to broken ribs suffered in a fall.
Ginsburg was initially evaluated Friday at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. She was then admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after experiencing what was described as “chills and fever,” where she received intravenous antibiotics and fluids, according to this Nov. 23, Supreme Court press release that minimizes the severity of her condition — though serious enough to require a change of hospitals.
Ginsburg passed on retirement during Obama’s administration, opting to be replaced by Hillary, a major miscalculation in which conservatives can rejoice. Since the election of President Trump, she has clung to the SCOTUS seat by her fingernails rather than grant him the opportunity to make a third appointment to the high court after Neil Gorsuch (2017) and Brett Kavanaugh (2018) provided a 5-4 Republican majority on the court.
On Nov. 8, 2019 SRAZ wrote, “Trump impeachment driven by specter of Ruthless Court.“ If you haven’t read it, you need to. If you did, it’s well worth reviewing. It provides the backstory to the impeachment urgency.
