Dem opportunist Rodney Glassman now a “conservative”

Current and former Republican politicians are mysteriously crawling over one another to give their endorsements to a newly minted Democrat-turned-Republican candidate for Maricopa County Assessor. This under-the-radar, but important office deals with property tax evaluations for nearly 2 million parcels and requires utmost integrity.

In early October the bombshell broke that Assessor Paul Petersen was arrested, facing multiple state and federal charges in connection with a fraudulent adoption and money laundering scheme stretching from the Marshall Islands to Arizona, Utah and even Arkansas. He recently pleaded guilty and faces lengthy prison time.

Since then the office has been in the capable hands of Maricopa County Assessor Eddie Cook, a trusted, conservative community leader, technology expert and former member of the Gilbert Town Council where he served for nearly a decade. Cook was unanimously appointed by the Board of Supervisors as Maricopa County Assessor over 10 other GOP applicants. He is restoring trust and accountability to the office, eliminating waste and saving taxpayers money. Take time to read his priorities and accomplishments.

Conservative Eddie Cook, the recipient of a national award for improving efficiencies, is being challenged by lawyer Rodney Glassman, a lifelong Democrat operative who opportunistically switched party affiliation, hoping to launch a higher level career from this post. He has run for and applied for appointment to numerous positions as success eluded him.

Glassman has an unlikely background for someone seeking political office as a Republican and even embracing the term “conservative.” He worked as a D.C. staffer for radical leftist Congressman Raul Grijalva. He also ran for the U.S. Senate from Arizona as a Democrat. Additionally, Rodney Glassman was a candidate for state chairman of the Arizona Democrat Party, hoping to guide the statewide strategy for defeating Republicans. This post was one in a long string of offices he sought and lost. After magically recasting himself in 2018 he ran as a Republican for the Arizona Corporation Commission and lost again, just as he did as a Democrat carrying the UFCW Union endorsement.

Integrity is not on Glassman’s radar. He hosted a fundraiser for a member of the Board of Supervisors who would be tasked with selecting Paul Peterson’s replacement. The invitation can be seen here.

A genuine Republican, Eddie Cook continues to amass support and has won the endorsement of Arizona Congressman and former State Senate President Andy Biggs, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus.

This is an important election. It’s crucial to retain Eddie Cook as Assessor.  Don’t  be conned by the biggest signs placed by wealthy political changeling Rodney Glassman, desperate for a win, whose intent is to buy his way into office…any office.

I’ve been hoping SRAZ would take on Rodney Glassman. To call him an “opportunist,” is being too kind. He’s a duplicitous belly crawler, intent on winning any elective office to propel himself into something flashier. He’s noted for wanting titles, but not willing to do the work.

  2. AZ Conservative Guy says:

What Glassman lacks in principles, he more than makes up for in raw nerve. Thanks for this background. I’ll be voting for Eddie Cook, who I never heard of until today!

  3. State Committeeman says:

    Important information here.
Rodney Glassman deserves to be shown the political door. What would induce any Republican to support him?

  4. Sam says:

    Look for $oro$ contributions.
$oro$ has been very successful in bankrolling the campaigns for the office of District Attorney or County Prosecutors.

That’s why the chick in St. Louis and the chick in ATL have been throwing the book at a certain group of people and letting serious criminals walk.

Harvard is not sending their best:

Harvard senior, Ms. Janover, posts a video threatening to stab anyone who dares to say that all lives matter. And goes all gangsta.

Ms. Janover was the president of Harvard’s Model Congress Middle East, a nonprofit that teaches high school students about the American government and international politics. She previously worked at Planned Parenthood Action in Connecticut, her Facebook says.

Now, Ms. Janover, Ms. Harvard, is afraid.
Because she is now getting death threats, according to her.

  5. Patriot Mom says:

Glassman has no shame. He is intent on getting a “win” under his belt, without any concern of where it comes from. Why would any rational voter trust him? He is an equal opportunity user. The rest of us align with a political party because it represents our values. Glassman obviously has none, which allows him to waffle back and forth. His only allegiance is to himself!

  6. Attila The Hunny says:

I don’t “get’ this affinity that Republicans who call themselves conservatives have developed for dyed-in-the-wool democrat Rodney Glassman. I notice that Royce Flora’s campaign signs are color coordinated with Glassman’s and they stand side by side on every corner. The only conclusion I can draw is that Glassman is footing the bill for Flora’s signs.

Whatever the reason, I’m thoroughly disgusted by Republicans who cut deals with democrats whose aim is to neuter us and our candidates. I’d bet the farm that phony Republican Glassman is voting for Joe Biden.

  7. jake sez says:

Very interesting. I was not aware of this information. Thank You as I was looking at Glassman. Now I will go for Cook. Will need to take another look at Flora’s background as well.

    • MAGA Hat Man says:

Don’t be alone in casting your ballot for Eddie Cook. Send a link to this post to your friends and relatives. Rodney Glassman is a self serving fraud, not deserving of anyone’s trust.

  8. Observer says:

Can’t figure out County Treasurer Royce Flora and Russell Pearce’s alignment with Glassman. He is a coreless fraud, who cares only about winning regardless of which party or office. I will not vote for anyone on Glassman’s endorsement list. I’ve heard that he’s ponying up money for Flora’s roadway signs. Don’t know if that’s accurate, but they abut one another, so I would not be surprised.

    • Casper says:

Flora sent out a letter endorsing this con man. I was disgusted when I read it, but it lends credence to the claim that Glassman is helping Flora. It’s impossible to miss their large adjoining signs on every corner.
