Lifelong “leopard” Glassman deviously changes his Dem spots

Fakes eventually expose themselves, but elections are not the proving grounds for opportunist political infiltrators

We’ve all heard the adage, “A leopard never changes its spots.”  Maricopa County Assessor candidate Rodney Glassman is deceptively trying to make Republican voters believe they can. Though he now refers to himself as a “conservative,” his background tells another story.

Flashy Glassman has run for and lost numerous statewide offices as a Democrat. His interest in the under-the-radar County Assessor’s post, currently filled by the capable Eddie Cook after the removal of a criminal predecessor, is not due to a burning desire to deal with property tax evaluations. Glassman is looking ahead to a more high-powered office, and desperately needs a launching pad.

Conservative Eddie Cook is a trusted, conservative community leader, technology expert and former member of the Gilbert Town Council where he served for nearly a decade. Cook was unanimously appointed by the Board of Supervisors as Maricopa County Assessor over 10 other GOP applicants, including Glassman. Cook is restoring trust and accountability to the office, eliminating waste and saving taxpayers money. Take time to read his priorities and accomplishments.

Incumbent Eddie Cook is being challenged by lawyer Rodney Glassman, a lifelong Democrat operative who opportunistically switched party affiliation, hoping to boost himself to a higher level political career from this post. He has run for and applied for appointment to numerous positions as success eluded him.

Glassman has an unlikely background for someone seeking political office as a Republican and newly embracing the term “conservative.” Early on, he worked as a D.C. staffer for radical leftist, open border pushing, Congressman Raul Grijalva. The job was procured by Glassman’s wealthy father, a Fresno-based agri-business tycoon, who met with Grijalva.

Rodney Glassman also ran for the U.S. Senate from Arizona as a Democrat. Notably, he was a candidate for state chairman of the Arizona Democrat Party, hoping to guide the statewide strategy for defeating Republicans. The words “pro-life” never pass his leftist lips.

The AZ Democrat chairman post was one in a long string of offices he sought and lost. After magically recasting himself in 2018 he ran as a Republican for the Arizona Corporation Commission and lost again, just as he previously did as a Democrat carrying the UFCW Union endorsement.

Integrity is not on Glassman’s radar. While hoping for an appointment to the assessor’s office, he hosted a fundraiser for a member of the Board of Supervisors who would be tasked with selecting criminally charged former assessor Paul Peterson’s replacement. The invitation can be seen here. Glassman was bypassed.

A genuine Republican, Eddie Cook continues to amass support and has won the endorsement of Arizona Congressman and former State Senate President Andy Biggs, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus.

This is an important election. It’s crucial to retain incumbent Eddie Cook as Assessor. Don’t be conned by the biggest signs placed by wealthy political changeling Rodney Glassman, desperate for a win, whose intent is to buy his way into office…any office.

  1. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

Rodney Glassman should be regarded as what he is: A verified enemy infiltrator who has failed at offices he’s sought as a Democrat and is now trying his luck as a Republican. He is definitely looking ahead to running for either governor or congress. Republicans should not foolishly provide him this spring-boarding opportunity.

    • MAGA Hat Man says:

Well stated! This guy has no interest in property taxes, not even his own, which his indulgent parents probably foot the bill for. He’s got his eyes on a bigger prize. Republicans who vote for him now will have a much bigger nightmare for deal with as he seeks higher office. Money isn’t his problem Integrity is.

There’s a lot of that going around.

  2. Frankly Speaking says:

Rodney Glassman lives in a newly constructed $ multimillion mansion in the Arizona Biltmore Estates, financed by his wealthy parents. He’s an empty suit.

    • Patriot Mom says:

He’s also a con man and a user. As a Democrat, he supported Planned Parenthood and now calls himself a conservative? That’s a brand of conservatism I’ve never encountered before and hope never to again. Glassman must have trained as a sleigh of hand magician.

  3. Tucson GOP says:

During one of his many losing campaigns, Rodney Glassman stated that if elected, he would model his service after Congressman Raul Grijalva, the extreme leftist he worked for in DC, who called for an economic boycott of Arizona in protest of SB1070, and often showed up for work drunk. The Washington Times carried the report:

Off Topic, but important to know:
President Trump has signed an Executive Order regarding the situation in Hong Kong and the Chinese Communists.

This is going to ramp things up by a factor of (place very large number here).
They brought the bio-engineered novel Corona virus to us (US) and the world because of economic sanctions placed on China by President Trump.
This E.O. not only will pucker the azzes of the Chi-Coms, but also will cause loss of sphincter control among the globalists.
Their ability to raise hell is endless.

What will cocaine Mitch do? Him and his Sec. of Transport wife whose family owns a Chinese Shipping conglomerate.
Feinstein, Pelosi, McConnell, Biden, Romney, etc.
    The list is very long.
    Very dangerous times.
Please pray to God for safety and protection for President Trump, his family, his loyal staff and our U.S. military (who are doing more than you know).
And pray for the people of Hong Kong who have gone from being free and prosperous to being persecuted—in the blink of an eye.

  5. LD 23 PC says:

Former Secretary of State Michele Reagan endorsed Rodney Glassman during one of his previous political incarnations. Knowledgeable voters booted her out of office.

  6. Realist says:

When he ran for Corporation Commission in 2017, sloppy Glassman had to file an amendment to correct the spelling of commission in the name of his campaign “Glassman for Corporation Comission.” You can’t be sloppy when dealing with property taxes.

  7. Braveheart says:

Perennial candidate and first class opportunist Glassman would run for dog catcher on the Green Party ticket if he thought it would benefit him. He’s not deserving of any Republican’s vote.

  8. Paying Attention says:

Glassman’s new found alliance with Royce Flora has caused me to withhold my vote from Flora. Their color coordinated and oversize signs abut one another, dominating every street corner. This is too cozy for me, though the word circulating within the party is Glassman is footing the tab for the signs and paid to get them up early, grabbing prime locations. It’s a case of one hand washing the other, but doesn’t pass the smell test.
