AZ Republic’s editor Greg Burton is wrong color, must resign

Who knew? Diversity of those who report the news is as crucial as the news itself

According to leftist thinking of those in charge at the anorexic and hemorrhaging subscriptions* Hillary-endorsing newspaper, hiring based on qualifications is a passé concept. In order to authentically report the news, diversity takes precedent.

This insulting concept invalidates professionals in all walks of life. Having a degree that relates to your line of work is no longer paramount. To be considered a valuable employee it’s imperative you represent a specific ethnicity and have the proper amount of melanin in your skin pigment.

A recent headline, “Representing our diverse community is crucial to telling Arizona’s story. Here’s a look at our staff today, includes a link to a chart detailing the race and gender of the employees. Each of the newspapers in the Gannett cabal have published the same demeaning stats reflective of staff ethnicity and sexual preferences.

This racial and gender marinated aberration has been gaining momentum as the newspaper routinely showcases minorities with contrived front page coverage with oversize photos, and focuses the entertainment section on black or LBGTQ performers. The lunacy has extended to news reports which increasingly refer to individuals as “the person” rather than “the man” or “the woman.”

From the article:

“For The Arizona Republic and to succeed, we must have an inclusive and diverse workplace where employees are valued and feel empowered.

We must build and sustain a workforce that is reflective of the diversity in the communities we serve. As part of our commitment to an inclusive culture, we will begin annually publishing the makeup of our newsroom staff.”

A more valuable commitment would be to a diversity of ideas rather than the constant barrage of radically leftward skewed news. But that rational concept is unacceptable to the purveyors of vitriolic hatred aimed at President Donald Trump, his dedicated supporters, GOP office holders and candidates. The newspaper, which was stunned when Trump easily defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016, declared it will no longer print pre-election endorsement lists, but doesn’t attempt to conceal its leftist bent on a daily basis. Greg Burton and his diversified staff should write their headlines and craft the articles in advance of the Nov. 3, election. They won’t be able focus when President Trump is reelected and dementia sufferer, Joe Biden can finally stop being exploited by his wife and his party, and return to his basement bunker.

The diverse and inclusive staff of the Arizona Republic do not know the difference between cement and concrete, or a slat and a bollard. Just this week, Daniel Gonazalez wrote:

“Most of the fencing that has been constructed since Trump took office is 30-foot-high, bollard-style fencing made of cement-filled steel slats.”

To be clear, cement is the gray powdery stuff when mixed with water gravel and sand that makes concrete. A slat is a long thin, narrow strip of wood, metal, etc.

Prior to the pandemic, the U.S. under the business focused leadership of President Trump, had historically high employment numbers and best economy ever. The vacillating market is not the fault of the president. I have every confidence It will get back on track. The Dow ended high at close on Friday after tanking during the DNC debacle.

Shares of underperforming Gannett have lost 73.8% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500’s gain of 3%.

FYI: If your kids/grandkids are public school educated and are online, be aware that the indoctrinators are hot and heavy teaching about BLM and how bad white people are.

Pay attention to what is on your kids’ computer screens.

The health dept issued a long statement, unsigned, in response to a media inquiry about COVID death count.

The response states that if a person has tested positive for COVID (not specifying which test the person was administered, or if they may have tested negative afterwards), then any death occurring within 60 days can be counted as COVID.

Because, if a person died from a “heart attack”, they might NOT have died if they hadn’t had COVID.

The scientist who developed the PCR test said he wished he’d never done it.

Unfortunately, he passed away recently. But other scientists are included in this very long and meaty article.

Please read it through to the end.

“Scientists are doing an awful lot of damage to the world in the name of helping it. I don’t mind attacking my own fraternity because I am ashamed of it.” –Kary Mullis, Inventor of Polymerase Chain Reaction

The PCR test is worse than useless. It’s dangerous.

Your medical record information will Forever have the “results”.

It’s Mostly about the money and how much reimbursement hospitals and State, local governments get.

But it’s also about something much more sinister.

So, do they know? Are they complicit in the death count?
    Or, are they just STUPID?

I wonder if Greg Burton would opt for a surgeon based on ethnicity rather than qualifications if he was seriously ill. Somehow I think this farce only pertains to biased reporting.

    • Casper says:

      You’re kidding, of course!

This is just the newspaper’s misaligned effort to try to persuade the majority that the minority is superior. They must be to be able to fulfill reporter’s jobs for which they are not prepared, either by education or experience.

  5. VINOAZ says:

Yes Virginia, the emperor has no clothes. It is amazing how many lines (or lies) of bull permeate the airways and our society. “Diversity is our strength” is said over and over as if it is true. Diversity is not, has never been and never will be our strength. It is a weakness and a perversion that is wrecking America. We are more divided than ever since the civil war. Yes, we are a diverse country in many ways–geography, climate, ethnic and religious backgrounds and countries of origin to name a few. But our strength in part is E Pluribus Unum. A unique American culture formed out of many. People from all over the world come to America for freedom and opportunity. Most want to be and become Americans. You may be able to move to Canadian, France, or Great Britain, etc. and become a citizen, but you will never be Canadian, French or British. Our strength is the American trinity–Liberty, E Pluribus Unum and In God We Trust. The left is hell bent on destroying this on the perverse notion that Marxism, Socialism, Communism and Unameitism will improve the human condition and that the inevitable dictator will spare them. It has worked so well elsewhere!

    • Realist says:

You couldn’t be more correct! Actual immigrants who came here legally knew all too well how fortunate they were to be in the land of opportunity and raise their families here. They knew that hard work opened doors. The schools educated students with American history and they learned the value of growing up in the land of the free and never took it for granted. Today spoiled and undereducated Millennials are looting and burning down American cities and barking about defunding the police. They are the Bolsheviks many of their great-grandparents did all in their power to escape.

Indulgent parents and far left indoctrination in government schools bear the blame, but the rest of us have to live with the consequences.

  6. Seen It All says:

The black community has its own newspaper called The Arizona Informant. It’s been around for decades. Is the AZ Repukelick trying to run it out of business?

Has Kamala Harris, who is East Indian and Jamaican, not black, caused the paper to abandon its beloved Hispanics which it now calls Latinex? A Pew survey shows most Hispanics don’t want others telling them what to be called and don’t use the term themselves.

  7. State Committeeman says:

Former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill who was a brilliant strategist also known for his witticisms, is quoted as having said, “A fanatic is someone who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.” He didn’t know it at the time, but he was describing the mindsets of Editor Greg Burton and Editorial Page Editor Phil Boas. They are doing more than they can comprehend to ensure the demise of the already dying newspaper. I see it occasionally at my weekend breakfast spot, where a couple of copies circulate in sections. I would never subscribe to it. No one I know reads it. It’s old news with an extreme left perspective.

  8. MacBeth says:

Greg Burton and Phil Boas are both white guys. Using their own standards, they need to be shown the door. Ditto venomous columnist EJ Montini, Laurie Roberts and the more than disappointing Robert Robb, whose views have done a 180 in an effort to hang on to his job. The failing newspaper can’t afford to purchase op-eds and wouldn’t if it could. There are no conservative viewpoints. Occasionally they let an uncommon non-lock step letter writer slip in, but even that has become a rarity. It now has a Your Turn space, but true conservatives are never featured. There are frauds portrayed as conservatives, but it’s trickery.
