T’was the night before Christmas….

As is our tradition on December 24th, we present what was originally titled,A Visit From Saint Nicholas.” It was penned by theological scholar Clement Clarke Moore in 1822 as a gift to his children.

Enjoy Christmas Eve.

I appreciate seeing this each year. My father read this aloud to us every Christmas eve throughout our childhood as we drank hot chocolate and ate warm from the oven gingerbread cookies. I know the words of this poem by heart.

Merry Christmas to all who gather here.

Your family sounds a lot like mine. We grew up with traditions we’ve all passed on in our own families. The ‘Night Before Christmas’ was very much anticipated and we always applauded Dad when he finished his recitation, as he sat beside the tree with lights shining on his face and shoulders.
