NY dem chairman warns AOC against challenging Schumer
Democrats are bracing for an internecine battle that could make the 1975 ‘Thrilla In Manila’ world heavyweight boxing championship bout between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier look like child‘s play.
According to the New York Post, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has been on the receiving end of stern warnings from Jay Jacobs, New York’s democrat party chairman, accusing her of “putting her ambition over need.”
Asked earlier this year about mounting a challenge to Schumer,70, Ocasio-Cortez, 31, responded “I don’t know,” which is light years away from a denial.
The Intercept delves further into the slim democrat margins in the congress as AOC says she believes the democrat party needs new leadership, telling the publication in an interview that it’s time for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to go. But the left, she said, currently has no plan on how to fill the subsequent leadership vacuum.
Ocasio-Cortez is letting them know she’s available…to further radicalize the leftist party and fully transmogrify it into her socialist vision. Listen carefully when democrats speak without a script. They are less likely to be lying.
