Dem voter suppression claim kicked to the curb by US Rep. Burgess Owens

Former football star still plays hardball though in a different field

Today we take our readers directly to the Daily Wire to meet a new conservative shining star, Utah Congressman Burgess Owens, who unseated a democrat incumbent in the state’s November 2020 election.

Although he previously won acclaim as the NFL player who led the Oakland Raiders to victory in the 1980 Super Bowl, Owens was an early standout in the political arena as a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump. During the Utah Republican primary, Owens, who is black, capably won in a crowded field by running to the right of his opponents while unequivocally disagreeing with athletes kneeling during the national anthem in support of Black Lives Matter.

Congressional democrats are working double time to gut state voter ID laws and any restrictions on election day registration, as they require state agencies to provide names and addresses for recipients of aid and any state services to be placed on the permanent mail-in ballot list, under the fraudulent claim that not doing so “suppresses the vote.” The Daily Wire‘s Hank Berrien writes, Tell Me Again, Why Is Showing A Voter I.D. Voter Suppression’: Burgess Owens Slams Critics Of Voter I.D. Law.

The Heritage Foundation’s Hans von Spakovsky, an attorney and a former member of the Federal Election Commission details the extreme election mandates that blatantly enable voter fraud which the democrats are working to impose through H.R. 1, — a nearly 800 page overreach — deceptively titled,For the People Act of 2021.” The House bill’s number and its Senate joint measure S. R. 1, clearly identifies this as the democrats’ first legislative priority. There are even attempts to lower the voting age to 16.

Republicans in state legislatures throughout the nation are committed to ensuring voting integrity, but the biggest hurdle is the educrat establishment which puts no priority on American history and civics and whose unions refuse to open schools.

According to the Nation’s Report Card, just 24% of U.S. high schoolers are proficient in civics upon graduation. Even the left-of-center Annenberg Foundation’s Constitution Day 2020 Civics Survey indicates just 51% of Americans can correctly name all three branches of government, with 23% unable to name any branches of government.  As of 2018, just eight states and the District of Columbia required at least a year of US government or civics courses prior to high school graduation.

No wonder democrats view Americans as ripe for a takeover of our basic freedoms. We need to elect more of the caliber of Burgess Owens.

REMINDER TO OUR READERS: In accordance with our 2020 policy, the word “democrat” or its derivatives will no longer be capitalized on this site.

As a nation we have been incrementally “dumbed down” by not only the union educrats (Thanks for increasing my vocabulary with this very precise word) but also through the overwhelmingly far left entertainment industry and the Biden-supporting extremist news media. The best way to stop this incursion is to stop funding it through overpriced tickets, subscriptions and not switching the channel. Advertisers will pull their ads from under performing programming. Arizona is the home of Charter Schools and many of them routinely outperform public schools on national surveys. Each year, US News and World report lists the outstanding school in each state.

This is the list of AZ High Schools:

H.R. 1, fraudulently called an “Elections Integrity bill,” is written for the purpose of destroying our states’ constitutional authority to run and oversee the elections process.

  3. D.B. Cooper says:

We’ve all seen the now-faded bumper stickers that said, “if you can read this, thank a teacher.” Americans are now experiencing a new twist on that sentiment: “If your kids are Socialists, thank their teachers.”

    • jakesez says:

I will steal your bumper sticker. I will make sure my daughter, who is a teacher, gets a copy because she is a conservative.

      • D.B. Cooper says:

        Theft is a crime, Jake.

Print them up and sell them at district, county and state meetings. You’ll make a bundle!

  4. Disgusted says:

I’m a patriotic American citizen, whose generations of family members have proudly served in the military defending our liberty. I joined ROTC in high school and followed in their footsteps after college. My dad must be rolling over in his grave over what has happened to our country. He would never have believed Americans could have elected an obviously sickly career politician who refuses to answer questions and has been in office for two months without holding a press conference.

    • Clementine says:

Your dad would have been correct in his assumptions. I do not believe Americans elected this fraudulent place holder nor do countless others. We’ve been had!
